One of the highlights of my life was seeing Peter Frampton live in 2018 before his Finale Tour. It was a very small venue, about 350 people. I walked to the stage, which came to my knees to check out his pedal board, and his guitar tech starts talking to me and shows me his rack setup and gives me some guitar picks. Peter played awesome that night and his band was so good. I’ll never forget it.
'His guitar tech'? My earliest childhood friend was Mr. Frampton's guitar tech on numerous occasions; but was he in 2018 when you were there, Scooby? You didn't catch his name, did you?

I agree, I discovered Framton like most others of the teens of the 70's. SPLHCB and "Do you feel". That solo is what made me realize if I ever wanted to be considered a Guitarist. I had better start practicing a lot more. A whole lot more.
I was honored to run sound for him in Nashville doing an acoustic gig. It was so great hearing him do his big hits by himself on acoustic guitar! Never missed a lick and sang his ass off!
Growing up I think everyone under 30 I knew had Peter Frampton Comes Alive. You went out for a cruise on weekend nights every 3rd car was cranking that album.
Peter seems like the type of guy you wish you could just ring up and ask: "Hey, if you're not doing anything do you want come over and jam a little bit and maybe tell some of those stories?"! Grateful I saw him play at the Clapton Festival last fall here in Dallas.
My boyfriend gave him "blues" guitar lessons back in the early 70s. Remember him saying Peter could not and will not be a blues player. And he was right.
Man how I wish I had a nice guitar like Peter has. I bought a squire telecastor thinline 70”a vibe from guitar center and man that guitar is the worst guitar I ever played. Very nice looking but too many things is wrong with it, very bum job They done with it . Brought it back 4 times and it still doesn’t play right, no matter how many times you tune it up and strum the strings, back out of tune. They cannot fix the intonation problem and the strings don’t match the magnet’s on the pick ups . Took my money and I’m stuck with a guitar I can’t play 😢. so now it’s just a wall piece.

I met Peter once at Apple where I was working in the early '70s. We had a well stocked kitchen on the third floor with an enormous fridge and anybody could help themselves for a snack. Peter came in when I was in there and wanted a cheese sandwich but he is not that tall and I remember he asked me if I could reach the cheese on the top shelf. There you go, a really important piece of rock history! But seriously yes, considering the number of so called rock stars that were always in and out of there he was one of the nice guys, 'Humble' turned out to be appropriate. Mr Frampton always comes across as a very modest, humble man. When I look back at my teen years, he and Boston, the rock group, were the “Beatles” of a young guitarists dreams. Hendrix had already died and the Beatles had already broken up, but Frampton with his talk-box and Boston with the Scholtz electronics boxes and brilliant songs really spurred a lot of us on into the garages just as the Beatles had done in the 60s. Thank you Mr Frampton for your hard work and effort in the face of teen hysteria and label execs (?) trying to push you into a teeny-bop, five-hits-per-year-type pop star mould. Fab video, thank you. I was lucky to meet Peter, David, Carlos and most of the crew at an afterparty on the Glass Spider tour in Melbourne. Must have been late '87. I've always liked Peter Framptons work he has such a vast history of the history of Rock that I wasnt aware of. I would always like to see him
I had long heard the story that Jimi owned a Coral Electric Sitar. Nice to know that it ended up in Peter's possession. I met Peter and have hung out with him a couple of times over the years at The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Really nice guy. It was a thrill to meet him.
Thank you so much. I remember all the music!
Went to Milton Keynes bowl serious moonlight when I was 18 could not believe the grass bowl when we arrived huge we took black bin bags with us when we went again to the glass spider tour. So we could sit on the grass and put them over our heads soo nobody could see what we were doing. Funny still got the tickets my partner at the time Jono was 10 years older than me, He was astatic when Peter played. Wow 🤩 happy days thanks guys . Everything went seated not long after not the same . Saves lives
My brother drives Herbie Flowers to his gigs
Per Wikipedia, and the record label for the song, "Stay" was not written by Doris Troy, as Peter stated @ 1:35. Maurice Williams wrote it when he was 15 years old after failing to persuade a date to stay past her curfew.
So humble. Beautiful man and life.
Peter you are the greatest, won't you show me the way every day
