okay idek if you'll ee this after 11 years, but its like in Rise of Skywalker when Poe activates a flashlight just like a lightsaber. Thats exactly what I thought of XD
I'm 26 years old right now, but I can still remember how badly this episode scared me when in first aired in 1999... 18 years later, I'm glad to have found this again. xD
The smile on that thing's face at 5:30 was the creepiest thing about this episode for me at the time. I mean, yeah, the episode was scary, but that smile creeped me out.
This is the number one most scariest episode of AYAOTD. It really scared the shit out of me the first time I saw it as a kid. This episode was also the reason why I used to sleep with my light on as a kid 'cause I was afraid if I turned my light off that umbra would come out and get me!!
And tucker may have had the best stories, but some of them didn't make sense. Like this one. How does the umbra survive the outside if it can't stand the daylight? And if gina was trapped in the lodge without food or water for it looks like weeks and still be ok?
Becky Kennedy it survives because that isn’t the umbra. It’s an illusion that tries to bring you to the cabin where the umbra is. Then when you are there it kills you.
Also, Gina was surviving in that hut with little firewood, no food or water, and a ghost running around? Never thought she'd "see the light of day again" in a cabin with windows? I can only conclude that she got lost on that mountain earlier that day, and the search party gave up after like 2 hours.
They're a lot calmer than me.After that thing attacked Gina, I woulda been like, "You want som mothafuckin lights? You want some mothafuckin lights?!!I'll give ya some mothafuckin lights.Gimme that mothafuckin gasoline!"I woulda poured it on the fire and they woulda had some motherfuckin lights.
Not sure which one is the youngest since there's two girls. But their names are Elisha Cuthbert and Vanessa Lengies or if your looking for their character names the blonde one is Meghan and the Brunette is Vange
So, the story is called 'The Tale of Bigfoot Ridge,' yet it has nothing to do with Bigfoot? It should have been called 'The Tale of the Umbra' instead. Good, scary episode other than that, though.
@caboose1020 The Ombra made you see things, it sent you visions only to lure you to the lodge. It wasn't actually outside. If it was really in the room or outside it would have killed its victims right in broad daylight.
People commenting that this is the scariest episode ever. I shall point you to: The Tale of Old Man Cocoran, The Tale of the Water Demons, The Tale of Dead Man's Float,
@FantasticFour2132 that's cuz they probably felt a need to conform to the "everyone lives happily ever after" and no one gets hurt American bullshit....
I think it's funny how they had Hayden of all people use a flashlight to fend off a creature of pure darkness... It's like a lightsaber :D

Same lol. Coming back to finally conquer my fears. Still a little creepy but not as bad as I thought it was
The smile on that thing's face at 5:30 was the creepiest thing about this episode for me at the time. I mean, yeah, the episode was scary, but that smile creeped me out.
the entire place is made of wood but they have nothing left to burn?
If only a lightsaber was lying around.....

same All I could remember was the cabin and the old woman who's basically trapped near the fireplace LOL so good to fill in the blanks again
Yass girl u is right
The scariest for me was The Tale of the Quicksilver. Had someone put a “Q” on my wall as a kid then I would have died. Haha
What a bait-and-switch title. I was expecting a tale about Sasquatch!
epic episode both Rachael from animorphs and anakin!
Tucker always had the best stories
I can't believe how well he aged
I have no idea what he looks like now.. But years later after this show he was in Mean Girls
And tucker may have had the best stories, but some of them didn't make sense. Like this one. How does the umbra survive the outside if it can't stand the daylight? And if gina was trapped in the lodge without food or water for it looks like weeks and still be ok?
Katie12886 That along with the tale of he midnight ride--he speaks out the truth about why some ghost stories are real before they were even told.

You are too rational. No fun :-(
It was a creature of pure darkness. Darkness has now where to hide in the light. But, yes, it would have been nice if they verified.
hey it's Hayden Christensen!!!!!
no one thought of using a mirror? it worked on medusa
Anakin skywalker
"Hahahahahahaha!" -The Umbra
They're a lot calmer than me.After that thing attacked Gina, I woulda been like, "You want som mothafuckin lights? You want some mothafuckin lights?!!I'll give ya some mothafuckin lights.Gimme that mothafuckin gasoline!"I woulda poured it on the fire and they woulda had some motherfuckin lights.
Use The Force, Anakin !!!
scariest episode along with jake the snake
Jake the snake is scary? apartment 214 is scary...
Not sure which one is the youngest since there's two girls. But their names are Elisha Cuthbert and Vanessa Lengies or if your looking for their character names the blonde one is Meghan and the Brunette is Vange
This spooked the poop outta me when I was a kid, it looks pretty corny now lol

Good, scary episode other than that, though.
This shit scared me because of her eyes !!!
"I hope he has a hard head." Tell me about it.
@caboose1020 they said earlier in the episode that it was an illusion to bring her out.
Love this
As an ADULT this is scary
I agree haha
That was INTENSE
I was wondering how long was Gina missing?
if all you have to do is not look the auhmbra in the eyes, why don't you just close your eyes when you see it?
That was a good story
At 3:23 she doesn't answer when asked not to give up on him...
@caboose1020 The Ombra made you see things, it sent you visions only to lure you to the lodge. It wasn't actually outside. If it was really in the room or outside it would have killed its victims right in broad daylight.
Yeeeeeeeeeeee, Hayden Christensen
Nigga stole my bike!
If Teen!Anakin Skywalker Was A Jedi Back Then...
Use the force young
So, Bigfoot ridge has nothing to do with Bigfoot. :(
How cares
@caboose1020 it's just pure entertainment even if it is lame
That was quite rude.
hayden

@MobiusX I'm not sure exactly, but my name is Chris Hanson.
Not true, watch The Tale of the Wisdom Glass.
I know, but my whole point was to be funny.
who cares instead of complaining and looking for something wrong with the show why not just watch it instead of complaining
Philippians 2:11
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Matthew 3:11 bahahahahahahahaha

@caboose1020 it wasnt really the ghost itself. didnt u hear the old broad? she said it was an ILLUSION. not the ghost itself
@FantasticFour2132 that's cuz they probably felt a need to conform to the "everyone lives happily ever after" and no one gets hurt American bullshit....
