You can find Uyghur language on China dollar notes. The Uyghur speak their own language. There are Uyghur language signboards everywhere. There are 20k plus mosques in Xinjiang alone. You see them do Uyghur dance openly in public spaces. They eat Uyghur food. The Uyghur culture is vibrant in Xinjiang. They use harvesting machines for cotton and tomatoes. Their population is ever increasing now at about 12 millions. The infrastructure in Xinjiang is well developed. The economy growth especially vibrant tourism sector in Xinjiang is one of best in China. What do you think (in response to western media)?

@@jovogageThe whole territory is goddamn huger than many European countries combined but the population is only that of Shanghai City. Xinjiang is never an isolated land, Uyghur ancestors immigranted here from somewhere near Middle Asia. There is also frequent communication and trade with Inner Mongol, Gansu, Tibet, Sichuan, etc. Han were in Xinjiang for centuries, especially Han muslims. After 1949, CCP migrated young people to Xinjiang to build its infrastructure and agriculture. If not this effort, Xinjiang would have been Afghanistan-like. Uyghurs have their business, Han adds to Uyghur community prosperity. It's completely different from west colonism and exploitation of aboriginal ppl. Han are one of the most hardworking and friendly groups of ppl in the world.

@@jovogage The Han Chinese came to Xinjiang earlier than the Uyghurs. The Uyghurs are not the natives of Xinjiang, but the Han Chinese are. The Uyghurs began to migrate to Xinjiang from northern desert (the area from northern China to the south of Lake Baikal in Russia) 800 years ago.

@@jovogageXinjiang is larger than many smaller European countries put together, but the total population is only 20 million, similar to Shanghai City. Both Uyghurs and Han migrated from outside of this region, Uyghur ancestors were nomadic ppl from tribes between Lake Baikal and northwest China in 3rd century AC. Han and other Chinese moved to Xinjiang from nearby provinces for silk road trade. What is the problem?

The Western media has been publicizing that Xinjiang in China is dangerous and unfree. However, the ridiculous truth is that people in Xinjiang are among the wealthiest in Central Asia. They are living a wonderful life and possess their own unique languages and cultures. Even an American movie about the Afghan War was filmed on location in Kashgar, Xinjiang. That's because only China can provide a safe environment and the landforms typical of Central Asia for them to shoot the movie.

Look at what Norway, a NATO country did to its indigenous population: In the 1960s and 1970s, at a time when the population was increasing, 4,500 Greenland Inuit women and girls (roughly half of all fertile females) were fitted with intrauterine devices (IUDs) by Danish doctors. Sometimes, girls (as young as 12) were taken directly from school to have these devices inserted without their parents' permission. The procedure was also carried out on some Inuit girls at boarding schools in Denmark. On 30 September 2022, the Danish Health Minister, Magnus Heunicke, confirmed that a two-year investigation would try to determine what decisions led to the practice and how it was carried out.

People in Western countries are like newborn babies, full of curiosity about the world, as if they know nothing. Chinese people are very welcoming to people from all over the world, and anyone who comes to China will be treated as a guest, no matter which country you are from.
