  • Here are my initial thoughts on the Bergara B14R barreled action that I dropped into a Bell and Carson stock and topped with a Leupold MK4 scope. Compared to other 22 LR 700 clones this comes in at a fraction of the price. Is it worth it? Watch the video and let me know your thoughts below.

    Thanks for the ammo suggestion. I have CCI standard, I saw SK ammo in Oregon but 22 rl does not exist where I live in California. We had our share of fires this season, be safe.

    I've shot sk standard plus, which is in the lapua family, center x , midas + and a whole bunch of other different brands, get ahold of some match ammo and I will see you post another video with a big smile after your results. With mine anything over 1/2 in at fifty is unacceptable if I do my job.

    What stock are you using? You blew through the description. Which Bell and Carlson?

    I got the full rifle for $870. The stock are $400 alone I would of got a barreled action and put it in my manners stock...... If it was around $500. Better deal to get the whole rig..... Nice video and shit home slice

      That’s a good price for the full rifle, I probably would have gone that route too.

      @@AdventureColorado Good timing, they are in stock on the Bergara website today. I was signed up for notifications and never received anything, just happened to be looking.

    I bought a barreled action and put it in a magpul stock, using an Arken scope...did you find a some additional ammo that had good groups. I set up the gun but 22 ammo is hard to find.

      I have picked up some SK ammo, but haven't tried it yet. The main ranges that I use have all been closed dur to the Colorado fire restrictions. I have shot some more CCI standard velocity and am pretty happy with it, especially for the cost.

    Great review! I love my B14R, shoot a dime size hole on 100 yards target. BTW do you still have the Bushnell DMR scope? I am planning to get one, don't know if it is better than Vortex PST gen2 or not. can you please provide your feedback? Thank you!

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  4 года назад +1

      Glad to hear yours is so accurate! I haven't tested many loads yet, but I did take it out last Saturday and was ringing steel at 175 yards with it. I do still have the DMR scope on my Ruger Precision Rifle. Between that and the Vortex PST Gen II, I would definitely buy the PST II. I think it is more clear and I think the clicks are more tactile. If you haven't already watched the review I did on the 3-15x PST II, you can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/NOLxw2IO_n4/видео.html

      @@AdventureColorado Thank you so much, your input is very important to me. I just cancelled my order and purchased a Razor HD gen2 instead.

      A dime at 100 yards thats so accurate it wouldn't be fun to shoot. You could hit everything you see....which ammo are you using???

      Yes, mine included the bottom metal and one magazine.

      @@AdventureColorado weird. I just looked on brownells website. A person asked if the bottom metal game with it and they said no. Was yours about $650.

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  3 года назад +1

      Just a little cheaper, but that was a deal through a local dealer. That’s odd that Brownells doesn’t have it included. I used the Magpul one that I had already modified to fit the Bell and Carlson stock.

    • @mr.rem2609
      @mr.rem2609 3 года назад +1

      @@AdventureColorado i just said $650 because that was brownells. I actually got mine for $580 at a local shop. Im having feeding problems. I can push the mag higher and its fine. Not cool!!

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  3 года назад +1

      That’s not good, I actually had to remove a little of material from the Magpul magazine release so that my magazines would seat properly. Since then I’ve had 100% feeding.
