I liked your channel so much, you are in no hurry to finish, you do not worry about the size of the video and it shows all the steps of the process, from the printing to the painting, channel that only shows timelepse has many out there, congratulations.
Your finishing is as always on point. Can't tell it's a print... really clean. For skin tone you can mix in some more blues and purples -- kinda approach it with what's under the skin -- it gives it more realism. Also mix in some dark tones into clothing, into the folds, and light tones into the higher edges -- kinda exaggerated, but would really make it pop. I paint 3D figures with the same approach I use to traditional painting -- that way it looks even more real. If that makes sense. Love the new shop -- congrats on the space!
As a heads up, if you print the legs section upside down (waist on the print bed) you could get away with no supports and have a perfectly flat surface to mate up to the abdomen piece. Great work as always!
How tall was the leg piece? want to see if I will need to adjust for my machine to handle it and this video got me started in 3d printing. A new habit to support.
So it's not even 6 am and like any man, there are days when I feel like I'm not doing enough in my life...like there's more work I should be getting done. You inspired the shit out of me just now for working overtime to pay for the materials for your workspace, then building the workspace yourself with plans to expand, printing out the models and painting them yourself, quite efficiently too. Most people would just work overtime at their job and say to hell with it, I'm tired and I'm watching netflix lmao keep hustling man 😎👍
I´ve some questions regarding 3D printers, and I hope someone in here could help me out Can you print your own transformer or action figures with ANY 3D printer or do you need an especific type of printer? What´s the best material to use if you want solid toys: ABS or PLA? How solid is going to be the toy? Like Hasbro´s solid, like a Lego´s brick or is going to be like a really cheap plastic? Do you need to sand the pieces or they´re already smooth as soon as they leave the print? What´s the best software to use to create toys for 3D printing? How durable is going to be the toy? Is going to break as soon as it hits the floor? And what´s the best way to deal with tolerance´s issues?
any printer can print action figures but usually we don't print solid parts you add infill % the more infill the stronger the part but the longer it takes to print and usually you print two outer walls but you can increase it for stronger parts but once again it takes longer to print so you can achieve a Lego brick of strength or more as for smoothness it depends on your quality setting when you slice the model for printing some parts don't need sanding some do depends on what your after hope this helps cheers
@@FilamentForge It's Anycubic's own patented heat bed. Actually, after posting this, I think it may have something more to do with the supporting z-axis rods not being perfectly flat. I rolled them around on a table and they seem to be bowed in the centre. Manually levelling a bed, is a real pain in the ass though...Sigh...
Fantastic job mate!! One tip, give it a wash with a dark tone to highlight more the shadow areas and the areas that connect various colors to achieve more depth and separation. Contrast colors more to get a better effect of shadows and highlights. But very well done, dude!!
Love how this turned a real talent you have there 👍I love Airbrushing and figure painting in general Desperate to paint large scale figures like this, and want to buy a printer But the choice is overwhelming me Any suggestions please for a complete beginner ?
Always trying to learn from my mistakes with the hulk the shading and blending weren't quite right. As for the new makerspace it's a slow project. Cheers
Very cool. I've printed this file a few times(each time a bit bigger). You did the face really well, I always struggle in there. Kinda wish the helmet could be removable.
Im going to buy a 3d printer and airbrush paint because of you you gave me lots of hope i will learn everything from your videos im so excited i want to escape work and go get me the printer the airbrush paint 😂💕
I also thought the same way about a month ago... I hope you have a lot of patience and some spare cash, because it can certainly bring moments of frustration, and it's by no means cheap. I don't mean to put you off, but be prepared...
How is your 3d print came smooth and clean after the actual print? I've seen some prints that has this line textures on it and needed to be smoothed with chemicals.
This one of the best (if not the best) post processing job of a 3D printing I've seen. Incredible results! Looks like it was kind of those resin-like professional figurines. Question though: why using wet sanding with soap instead of no soap?
Awesome work!!! Can you tell us the specific tools you used for this video, completely Airbrush Equipment, 3D Printer Model and the cost of the material to make this Statue.
Lol, not sure my wife would be too happy if i blew $1,500 on a 3d printer just so I could print out some toy figures 🤣🤣 Btw, I hope you print and paint a female figure soon. Would love to see your take on a popular female anime character or video game character!
@@demonslayer8085 Most cities have "Maker Spaces" where you can rent/borrow a 3D Printer. If you're stuck in the boonies though you might not, but I've got friends who do it to get access to all sorts of cool gear that's too expensive to own. There used to be places online that would print for you, but IIRC they were kind of pricey. Still for results like this it might be worth it.
Great work. I might have missed it, but I wanted to ask the reason for going with a flat surface at the joints over some kind of connection pot and tab.
good question some models come with connection pots but this didn't I would of had to add them but I preferer flat surfaces just personal preference cheers
Hello how are you? I love your impressions in 3d, you can help me with a question I have about the filler that you use, isopon, what is the difference between the Isopon Plastic Bumper Filler Tin (16.3 Oz.) and the Isopon Filler for Minor Dents-QT Tin ( 2.0lbs), I'm thinking of starting to use it to improve my impressions in 3d, I really need your help before making a purchase. thanks and excellent channel.
hi.. there's not much difference in either of them plastic bumper filler is more flexible for heat expansion and the other one is good for metal parts you could use either one hope this helps
Hi... Your works are just amazing... I'm a big fan of He-Man and the Masters of the universe. Could please 3d print He-Man and Skeletor action models. I would love to see that. Thanks 😊
the face was hard to do 4 times I messed it up first I airbrushed the skin tone to match the arms then with my smallest paint brush I did the teeth I mixed up white and a little bit of yellow then white for the eyes and then I used a posca pen for the pupils hope this helps
I should of said in the video the first grey primer is a high build primer which I ended up running out of so the second yellow primer was just a different brand cheers
Impressed. Such clean results for a filament print.
great job and Rafael is awesome
Those arms came out awesome! The whole juggernaut came out awesome!

Outstanding job! Great job with photography, background music and editing!
Learning as I go cheers
Nice work. I might have gone a different route with the skin colors and helmet but I like it.
Great Job on the Video Filament Forge.

Love your work,
Awesome work bro! I love Juggernaut 👍
Wowza, looks awesome.
This is way to go if you want a juggernaut statue I've never seen one under 600 bucks not even the one from Kotobukiya.
The kotobukiya statues are great but there's people that can 3d model the same figures for a lot less or even for free cheers
I am speechless, great work

so no sanding at all? or you skipped that in video? how many coats of primer-filler did you use?
That's right just a bit of sanding no the spots were the supports connected 3 coats of primer

amazing job
Amazing job!
Can you make figures with articulation such as the recent Marvel Legends Juggernaut if you print it piece by piece?
I cant it would have to be 3d modelled with articulated joints

can you tell me, typle sandpaper, you uesed in video?
80 and 120 grit standard sandpaper
Thanks
Very cool. I've printed this file a few times(each time a bit bigger). You did the face really well, I always struggle in there. Kinda wish the helmet could be removable.
I did try and remove it in meshmixer but it didn't work I also found the face hard took me four time to get it right. thanks
what would you charge for a luke cage in that size unpainted?
is it your own 3d model??
No i just wanted luke cage for my son
I don't think there's any Luke cage stl models
Why is this guy only have 13k subs?

no just a good filler primer and 0.1mm layer height
Also feel free to check out my complete collection of custom Hulks and Juggernauts on my Facebook page. It's under Kenneth Crawford.
will do thanks
How is your 3d print came smooth and clean after the actual print? I've seen some prints that has this line textures on it and needed to be smoothed with chemicals.
How much did all of this cost you to make ? And with how much would a statue like this sell after being painted and all ?
How much time did it take
About a week to print and paint
How much does a character like this cost to create? And can people buy them do you sell on ebay or anywhere

fix? did you mean print? you should be fine using that printer cheers
@@FilamentForge print sorry can you say to me what programme you use

thanks pal.... adding soap keeps the sandpaper cleaner add to a smoother finish cheers
What settings did you use to print this? So cleannnnnn
They were just the standard setting for the wanhao d5s Already programmed in I just set the layer height 0.1mm
What printer do you use? Is this affordable to do
I used a wanhao d5s which is a old 3d printer now and affordability its a hobby
