#3dprinting #xmen #diorama
Hey man, that's HUGE!!!! Holy cow! It's a beast, we just can't imagine how much work it takes to print and prepare the diorama at that scale! Love how you go all the way in with the models and muchas gracias for giving them a chance! We will be looking forward to the process, my dear amigo!!!!!
Wow! Wow!
I would like to try this awesome art of painting statues or even printing them… this statue is amazing and can’t wait to see your process of painting it.
That's a fantastic looking model with Magneto next to it, will be a long term project to paint up.
It's gonna take a few but I'll manage to get it done soon.
Sick!!!
It's The Ultimate Diorama Ever!
That is insane..love it!
Cant wait to see the painting!
THAT is quite the undertaking to print at 1/4 scale! Bravo!
I'm making a project atm at 1/9th scale that is taking me quite a while to make. (I am also modeling the entire thing myself)
Can't wait to see it when it's finished!
👍
Great job man!!!
Thank you 😊
@@TheCreativeCollector you are far and away my favorite printer
WOW Impresionante ¡¡¡ Nice.
The led is a must, dont skip it this diorama deserves this little extra work.i had juggs base already printed when wicked surprised us with the Diorama Base, else i would have printed the base with the lamp. I decided against chrome for Colossus since he turns into steel not chrome 😅 but if you prefer him shiny go for it
You're right. I'm not going to make him too shiny since he is supposed to be steel.
youre the goat dude
I'm excited to see the final finish. Keep us up to date 👍🏽
Will do!!
Oh wow. My biggest print was the Batman XE Suit n it's also a joy n hassle to paint with so much surface dtls. 😂.
BTW, I would like to know how much infill u allow to print such a big print? Maybe u can do a video about it too. Cheers!
I still do 5% grid infill on all models.
Insane! This one dwarfs your last one 😮😮😮
Yes it does.
This is truly an epic project! I'm very interested to see how you end up chroming colossus. Maybe it would be possible to do a gray base with black shading in the recesses, and then gloss and graphite? Another option is to use a paint called duralumen. It gives a fantastic chrome finish and takes well to top coats.
I'm going for more of a steel finish since that's what he is in the comics.
That’s massive and here I was thinking my hulkbuster and hulk diorama used a ton of resin.
Wow you can actually print something like this I need to invest in 3D printers
Man, what a beauty.
I can't see your videos man, its to much pain to see how massive is your prints. I want to do the same 🤪🤣
Super cool !!!
great statue and video
This is epic. GG
i love optimus
Happy to see this one. I just did my Incredible Hulk video, I believe I spent close to $200 on resin alone. I’m using the same printer as well, I get a few failures now and then.
That is awesome!
Great stuff man.
Man I can’t imagine how much this would cost retail from comp like prime1. Every time I see one of your videos I get pump up to paint again
If I can suggest paint alternatives for Colossus. There is The chrome metal (airbrush) from Green Stuff world. All you'd need is to lay down a base of gloss black enamel to get the full reflective chrome effect. Then there's Createx Quickslver,an aluminum based acrylic that has a fantastic gloss black acrylic base that has an amazing reflective quality that can be sealed with their 4050 gloss and wont diminish the metal.Just a couple of friendly suggestions from a fellow figure kit builder.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it.
@@TheCreativeCollector anytime.
That's huge man. You're gunna need a new house if you keep up with these huge prints. Keep up the great work!
Thanks. I think this will be the last one like this for a while.
Man so many people seem to have bad luck with the M3 Max. It was my first printer and I never had an issue. Enough people complain about it though so I guess I won the lottery. Amazing work though. I can't wait to see work on the paint job.
My anycubic m series works great
Nice. Can you give us a update on your galactus?
I'm finishing up the last base piece. It takes 4 days to print in FDM
Could you do a video (or just explain there, I guess) about upscaling models in the slicer? Because that model is MASSIVE! It looks like all of the Be3erk models are meant to be printed at 1/6th scale, but I'd like to do one at 1/4. Not sure how to make that happen. Thanks!
So Wicked and Berserk all scale their models in 1/6. So if you want to print in 1/4 then all you have to do is increase the scale to 150% which would be 1/4 scale.
@@TheCreativeCollector thank you! That’s perfect! With the cost of Prime 1’s Talon statue with shipping coming in at over $1200, I figured I’d give theirs a go and see how I do. And seriously, thank you for all the great teaching, techniques, and amazing tutorials here. Happy to support someone who obviously puts in the time and the effort to do such a great job and has really helped me to become a better artist.
@@mzsherman You are most welcome my friend. And that's why I don't buy production statues anymore. Prices have just gotten way outta hand. For the price of that statue, you can buy a nice printer, pay an artist to do a rendering and print and paint your own and STILL save money.
It's amazing, great job. do you sell the patterns?
Thanks but no I usually buy my files from different patreons
That's just awesome! I've watched the video, but I didn't notice, can you tell me please, which resin do you use usually?
Thanks. I use Sunlu or Elegoo standard resin
@@TheCreativeCollector Thank you for your answer. I'm really appreciate for this channel. I'm pretty new in 3D printing and learning too much from you.
I’ve had pretty good luck with my max until I started filling up the plate with weakly supported prints. Haven’t tried haven’t tried printing anything massive besides a base and I get the same warping issues
This is nuts. I know you said this is all resin but why not print the base or parts of the base with pla? Looking forward to seeing the result
Can't get these nice details from pla, so I wanted it in resin
@@TheCreativeCollector I use PLA on battle damaged or natural looking bases but I also go back and hand sculpt rubble and rock details with clay and things like mod podge/plaster combo as if I was doing diorama work. In any case this is an absolutely ridiculous project. I really am looking forward to the end.
Love the art work (though Colossus stands no chance against Juggernaut hehe).
350-500 in resin depending on brand holy cow
Hiya Hope that your feeling much better soonAmazing piece of work Im from the UK so apologies if this has been covered elsewhere But as a complete newbie, Im really interested in printing the LARGE scale figures to paint. MY question is Could you recommend a printer for a nerwbie BUT thats capable of printing the larger scale collectable types of figure please Speedy recovery Regards Fil
Yes. Check out the Elegoo Saturn and if you want to go bigger check out the Elegoo Jupiter. I mainly use the Linant Deck but shipping on it is a killer.
Your channel has inspired me to get into the hobby but I'm having and issues printing rather large bases for me statue projects 80 percent of the time my prints fail. Could you make a video on printing larger scale bases? Thanks!!
That maybe something I can do further down the line.
I cut mine into sections
Jayo resin is good, too. It's a subsidiary of Sunlu.
Elegoo is WAY better than Anycubic for customer support, imo.
Agreed!
Insane. Did you manage to print the upper torso in one piece or did you have to cut it up? I cant seem to fit mine on jupiter se.
The hands I printed separately but the other part of the torso is all one piece.
nice! Which optimus prime model are you working on?
The one from Wicked3d
molotow chrome is better than alclad, but use alclad aqua gloss water clear to keep it from fogging up
Question where did you put the drain hole for the head
I put a few drain holes in the bottom. That helps with suction. You may have a tiny bit of resin drain out when you flip the build plate over but no trapped resin.
If you don’t mind me asking. Where is the venom V. Carnage Diorama now?
I'm still working on the prep work. About to get it in primer
I would never have the balls to print something that big or the space 😔, but maybe one day.
I honestly didn't realize it was gonna be this big when I started printing it.
I wanna growup and be like you. Amazing work, again, still.
Do you find the details between the deck and 8k to be a huge difference? I have considered a medium and large printer format, wasn’t sure how good 6k pixels would look over a roughly 13 inch screen.
The details aren't a huge difference but the build volume is. I've yet to see what the difference is on 8k versus 4k or 6k on any printer without looking under a microscope
@@TheCreativeCollector thank you good sir, that helps with my decision making.
Great Job dude ! May I know which printer did you use?
Thanks. I use the Linant Deck and Base 8k
@@TheCreativeCollector Thanks bro, keep it up👍🏻
What is the best glue to use when gluing resin pieces together? Got my first garage kit (solid resin not 3d printed) and not sure how to go about it so would appreciate any help. Thanks!
I use a 2 part epoxy. It lasts longer than super glue and holds better.
@@TheCreativeCollector Brilliant thanks for the info
What is this sized up to I’m also printing the same print and I want it about that size
Its 150%
Wow with wich printer you have done this? Whats your mind to the phrozen mega 8k v2? Grettibgs
I printed most of it on the OG Sonic Mega 8k
@@TheCreativeCollector Thanks a lot, I'm thinking about buying the Phrozen Sonic Mega 8K V2, but I'm not sure about the details that won't get lost.... is it better than the Saturn 2 or will details disappear? Thanks
@TollwutBiber-cy6oc Trust me you don't lose any details. It's just as good if not better than the Saturn 2, which is a lot smaller
great .. I just bought the mega 8k v2. thanks. . which resin is the best? in detail? which one do you recommend
hello, what wall thickness do you use for your figures?, thanks
Either 1.5mm or 1.8mm
thanks
Asombroso diorama, de donde son los stl.
Wicked 3d
@@TheCreativeCollector espero verlo terminado tiene mucho trabajo de pintura quedará asombroso. Gracias
Hey what are the names of the resin and filament u used
I used Sunlu resin and I didnt use any filament on this one. It's all resin printed.
Espectacular!!!. Ansioso por verlo terminado.
Thank you
why photon max is a problem for you?? i am thinking of buying it
Had it since February of last year and didn't work out of the box. Took 5 months for Anycubic to get back to me then they tried to screw me on the warranty.
Do you sell anything? Sorry, first time viewer
Not at the moment 😕
Hello, what scale is this in?
1/4
What resin do you use? You must spend a small fortune printing that.
I said in the video I used Sunlu and Nova3d for this one.
How much in money cost of resin do you think it cost to print this figure.
Oh man.....it was somewhere around $400-500 to print it.
@@TheCreativeCollector wow thats crazy man.
what scale was this printed at?
150%
1:1 print when?
Oh there will be one!
where was that email?
It's on the main screen in the description
The first step is admitting you have a problem........ rofl
:O Jesus almighty. I get a lot of my models from Wicked but it would take me a long time to print that at work. I use 3D Systems machines for all of my prints. Looking forward to seeing this thing painted. Love the videos man.
