- I got a new truck! I took delivery to my new chevy truck, it's new to me ok... This 1974 C60 is a gaser with a 350. Has dump capabilities and a 2 speed rear end. I had to buy it... for what? Idk

Tipping bed with removable drop sides. Built in loading ramps. Off-road tires, twin stacks and raised air in take. Keep the patina and just clear coat over it.

I’ve got the same truck and it’s a splitter so you can have a high and low range in each gear when I’m not loaded I just shift 1-4 in low range then go to 4 high to act as 5th gear

I have an 82 gmc in the same size chassis truck with a 350 5 speed. No 2 speed rear end. A regular chevy square body dually box lines up with the cab. That c60 will be a great truck

@@RustyCigrit The bmw is a clear hoopty. E36s are a hit or miss. I can see why he doesn't want to put money into it. That car needs a lot to even think about touching a track. Not to mention he lives in ny and theres not really drift events around him.

Cool truck. Funny how guys are saying you got projects you never finished. We all do. I got so bad that now I start a project and finish it before I start a new one. If I loose interest I sell the unfinished project before I start another one. My new motto is if it don't run it's got to go. No sitting in the yard. Do something cool with the truck man!!!!

5 and 2 is easy bud. Shift all five gears let of the gas pull the switch, you’ll feel it go into gear and keep on truckin!
It’s a 2 speed rear end it’s basically a second transmission in your rear axle instead of mating to the back of the engine. I like in Lakeview not far from you. I can show you how to drive it if you need a crash course. Enjoy the new toy✌️

He's finished projects. Shit takes time when your working with a limited budget. RUclips doesn't help share videos that are made in a series. For example if he made a whole series about the jeep and only that youtube wouldn't reccomend his videos.

It’s a 2 range rear end so you push the clutch in pull the lever and it’s high range. So it can act like an 8 speed. But in FYI have no load you can leave it in high range. That’s pulled out. I love the trucks for a grain truck with the wood bed. Keep it up

It's a two speed rear end. All the switch does is go between hi range and low range. Out in the field, you want low range. On the road, start in low and after the last gear up flip the switch and start over shifting in the hole. That would be the next gear up. Did I explain that ok?

It looks like an old state or town catch basin cleaner truck. It should have had a crane on the flat part what went down into catch basins to dig out the leaves and junk.

It’s the 4 speed with the splitter. So you have hi lo. We got a c50 with that trans and all I do when I’m loaded is start in lo and then go through the gears then once she’s topped out in 4th push the clutch in and pull out the splitter. Love the videos. Hope I could help

Example go from 2 gear to 3 low then 3 high then 4th low then 4th high then 5th low then 5 high
Shift two speed to low as you go into the next highest gear.
So there.
If empty go through the gears in low then to high in 5th . Pull up button then let up on gas it will shift without clutch.
When your in a gear driving it you push the clutch in and you will go from firsts low to first high there are vids on RUclips that explain it better
So this is easy to shift , unless you ever take it down the road you won’t ever need the two speed rear end . When you do decide to run it down the road stop over ..in your case up and east ..and I’ll give you a lesson on how to use a two speed rear end . You have your land and this will come in handy over there . Your now a trucker 10/4 .....lol .
Oh I forgot check out the GVW if it’s over 26,000 you will need a CDL - B license to drive it legal on the road .

Two speed rear end is exactly like high and low range on a tractor. Usually not needed unless loaded.
How about a REALLY long bed C60 pickup???
Keep the dump bed mechanics put a regular bed on top of those and make it into a regular truck... Though there's lots of ideas you could do

It was a landscape truck, tools on the platform and then it has a hydraulic dump bed.
The new crush carrier use where the dump bed it as the part where crush goes and where the flat bed it a bedroom
I have a C65 and that thing rips nice buy hope to see more videos on this. Most of the Tim's they chop 4 to 5 feet off of them and put a truck bed on
small farmer I have 2 C65s with manure spreaders on the back, both are tandems too and they are sweet
