    • @chaudharyarind
      @chaudharyarind 10 лет назад +5

gupta period is known as the golden period of indian history.the great epithet is added for the name of AKBAR and ASHOK only. mughal period is also very well known for magnificent building construction , improved warfares tactics, improved gdp and establishment of new system of land reforms by todarmal. aurangjeb was the richest emperor and have the largest military in the world during his time.no doubt due to his policy of religious persecution most of the empire resources has drained and empire lastly collapsed after his demise and financial constraints.shahjahan s period is also known as golden mughal period.so we cant demean the achievements of mughals in development of indiaas a great empire on the religious lines.

If mughals and delhi sultanate kings were considered as Indians then britishers, portugese, french, dutch also should be considered as Indian.Basically Mughals n Delhi Sultanates were all invaders.Nothing else.No need to glorify them.Previously due to vote bank politics they were glorified in school history books and movies but certainly they should be referred in the history books basically as foreigners who invaded and ruled Northern part of India who followed Islam as their religion.Among them probably Akbar was little secular.Nothing more than that.If they had build more temples than mosques during their rule, you can give them secular tag which they were not.Is there any reference to Mughals visiting a temple during their rule.I dont think so there was any reference. So why unecessarily we have to glorify mughals.Stop false propaganda.Mind it,i am not at all a BJP bhakt or supporter.

Look how they treat their women, gays etc. If Ali Jinnah(the fully westernised leader of the muslim Indian league) was alive today he would be disgusted with what Pakistan has become.

See the great buildings designed, waterways laid, ruling system, art, music, food and many more valuable contributions to India. A very nice blend of Islamic Turkic culture and Indian Hindu culture creating a multicultural beautifull nation. That is why I love to visit Insia always, such a blend of cultures, food, arts and people.

This was a wonderful video. I love learning about various empires. Weirdly enough, I have DNA from the area of Afghanistan, Central Asia/Mongolia. I'm mostly Celt (Scots, Irish, Insular and continental Celt), so this came as a surprise-- an interesting surprise. But then, some researchers think the Celts originated in Central Asiam not Central Europe. It's nice to learn about the areas where my DNA originated. I find it all quite fascinating. And I love Indian music so it's a win-win.
Gven that the Moghuls were Muslim, I imagine that Hindu images came as quite a shock. I used to go to a local Hindu Temple at times and thought it very beautiful, but then I used to be Catholic and the churches I attended had lots of statues. I can't remember the name of the site, but it's in the area known as the Deccan Traps. The temples are carved out of basalt, carved from the top down. You have to respect a culture that could accomplish such things.
I love the story of Shah Jehan and his love for his Mumtaz. I remember first hearing the story when I was young and it captured my heart. May their love never be forgotten.
    Anyhow, thank you for posting!

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma(religion) - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. A lot of these structures were built at the cost of Indian lives. To build Taj Mahal artificial famine was created. Many died. People would have still come to India, even without the Mughals, its like saying had the British not been here we wouldn't have any rail roads. Whether due to fear or financial reasons, Jauhar-now in his seventies-remained loyal to the Marathas, now the supreme Western power- and led the Maratha navies until 1711 when Vishwanath Bhatt was appointed Admiral; Angre came into power later. Later details about Johar are sketchy at best.

The Reason of India's Fall ...Was the tactical and Military Superiority of Turks .... They were more Evolved in Warefare Than Contemporary Indian Empires...
Even Delhi Sultanate was ... Outmatched by Babur and his army with Superior Weapons ....Like Canons... Mascots... Babur used Fire-arms First time on Indian soil ...In the battle of Panipath with Ibrahim Lodhi ..... Akbar excelled much more than his Grandfather...He was more Experimental...In Warefare

I think you really need to read the old NCERT books written by some eminent Indian historians like Romila Thapar,RS Sharma,Satish Chandra,Bipan Chandra,Arjun Dev etc. These books are pretty good but were withdrawn during the Murli Manohar's stint as HRD minister but were not reinstated after that.

It seems there is a confusion here about the origin of Mughals.
Some claim Babur is Persian(!), some say he is Turkic, some say he is Turco-Mongol.
He is Turco-Mongol allright, just like Tamerlane.
It is very easy to prove this. What this program does not mention is his famous autobiography: Baburname.
He wrote that book in his native language. That book is totally comprehensible to any Turkish speaking people of modern day Turkey. His and his armies soldiers spoke Anatolian Turkish of today!
Read the book. There is an English translation of his book from Chatai Turkish, which he used to write his memoirs.
    How about that?

Svart Skalle It is impossible Then Babur wrote his autobigraphy in Turkish since they use Nasdak alfabet and Persians as officially language. The Mongols made invasions on KaraKitans since they had problems whith Kwazerismians, then Moguls went further Persia Afganistan And India which they took over from Arabs(Hanibals). The Moguls could bee mix off Kara Kitans and Mongols or simply only Kara Kitans since they origins are from the part off China which Djingis Kan comming from or they Princes mared a Mongol off Djingis Kan origins.Kara means in Turkish black or dark, Kitans means Chines. It is impossible then Mongols ever mix whit Turks since they where they worst enemy when Djingis Kan made invasions on Midell East he murderd milions off Turks and Arabs in Irak and they acknowling Christians. They wher seen as protectors off Christianity. The Turks and Britisher clame then the princes who mared Chagatai was Turkish and her tribe spoke Turkish but they are not able to deciphred the language only few words which they could adopted from them.Even so they still clame they are them.Even then they fight Turks (Azeri) who establish Safaved imperium

@Mahesh Kulkarni: You have to see this whole thing in the context of the larger Islamic civilization. All the artillery and war tactics that were new in our world at the time of Mughal invasion, had been tried, tested and surpassed in central Asia and Middle East. Small kingdoms neighboring Indian subcontinent are to be seen as part of the bigger Islamic empire stretching from Spain to Indus Basin. Hope that provides a context to a different perspective on the situation you face :-)

Baburi Mosque: It was built by destroying a temple else even the modern Hindus wouldn't care about that ghostly structure. What happened to the most rich Somnath temple(also those at Benaras)?? Who pillaged &destroyed it 13 times. They were not greedy men they were really religious muslims. Ghazni took its idols and put it on the steps of Jamia mosque where people trampled on it(Bravo Islam!!) Lets take the next Mosque of Cordoba(Misquita) for example.....contd...

DID YOU KNOW -The Maratha empire waged war for 27 years with the Mughals from 1681 to 1707 which became the longest war ever fought in the history of India. The Marathas emerged victorious. After 1761, Madhavrao Peshwa reinstated the Maratha authority over North India, 10 years after the battle of Panipat. Marathas remained the preeminent power in India until their defeat in the 2nd and 3rd Anglo-Maratha Wars (1805-1818).MARATHAS DEFEATED THE BRITISH IN THE 1ST ANGLO-MARATHA WAR.
    NOW YOU KNOW.

To summarise: Scientific knowledge is hard 2digest removes the reassuring crutches of opinion, ideology, dogma &shows something that is demonstrably true. Products of human emotion like arts, poetry, literature, politics are second hand accounts of the authors that are made third hand when we digest it and is easier. As Richard Dawkins says "We are all atheists with respect to ALL the gods societies have ever believed in, some of just us go one god further". Thus, 4m many gods to 1 god to 0 god.

Basically Moghuls were mongols mixed with turc. Mixing races were Khan’s tactic to rule all the countries he invaded. For example, in tibet, a newly married bride had to spend the first night with lama monk under the name of religion. But in reality it was Khan’s tactic.

@shanmirza007 It is not exactly precise to call the Mughuls as Turks because culturally, they were never Turkish. The Mongols who became Mughuls adopted Persian culture form the very beginning. It's more precise (though not completley) to call Turks as belonging to Mongol tribes.

The narrator is rather extravagant in saying the Mughals dominated India over 200 years. The Mughal empire never penetrated the Peninsular India where the Cholas ruled for 1,500 years. They were a great sea faring people conquering what are now Sri Lanka and Indonesia. They spread their influence over all of S. E. Asia. The Cholas should be deservedly called the Great, not the Mughals who had ruled for a mere 300 years. The south of the Vindhyas had always a short shrift in the history of India.
