My favorite thing about this album: every song flows seamlessly into the next (with the only exception being Rassemblons-nous into Lux Aeterna; but I can forgive that because death) and the end flows back to the beginning. It's all a cycle. Everything is a cycle. Life to death to rebirth. Day to night to dawn. It's universal. And it just makes me want to listen to it all over again.
Has been shitty weather the whole last week....haven't slept the whole night.....now listening to this....looking out the window...and the sun shines for the first time after a long rainy time.... .....heh, you can't explain magic like this, it will put a smile on your face :)
I had the amazing opportunity to watch this performed live at the Lincoln Center in New York City. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world.
Wow.... I've always found Christopher Tin as an inspiration, but I love him more and more every time I hear another one of his songs.... :D I REALLY need to buy this album!!!!!
I think this might be my favorite song on the album (not that I haven't listened to the full album a million and one times). I also love Hamsafar, Baba Yetu, Sukla-Krsne, and Rassemblons-Nous as my faves.
@FinalKnell - Coming from a musician (and a former music pirate), it takes more passion and ability to create a beautiful song that to build anything in the world. Piracy for music (good music, real music, not that horrible modern popular music) is just plain wrong, if you pirate this then you take away from the artists ability to both obtain more popularity and to get more music out. Just buy it! it feels good to support good artists!
While I want to participate in financially incentivizing artists to create good music by discouraging piracy and encouraging buying albums, at the same time the only reason I bought Calling All Dawns is because I heard the songs on youtube first and liked it so much. Is it possible to approve and disapprove of something at the same time?

Kia Hora was the beginning of Christopher Tin's pattern of releasing absolute bangers for the final songs in his albums

Alguém a ouvir em 2024? Encontro essa pérola, linda música. Estou tão encantada, não consigo ouvir outra coisa.

Why on earth would someone dislike this?
6:02 phenomenal
Our World is so full of beauty and masterpieces like this just proof it :)
Nothing more to say
i love how the ending of Kia hore is the beginning of Baba yetu
Thank you so much for uploading all 3 of these
Reminds me a bit of Now We Are Free from the Gladiator movie
@GoldenFox22 You are correct. Baba Yetu was the only piece specifically made for Civ IV. The others were for this soundtrack.
we performed this at disneyland!

The description is very inaccurate. Only Baba Yetu was used in Civ4
Kia Hora is just plain magic
Just amazing music.

2:06 I can't unhear "holy shit" and I feel bad because I bet the translation is so beautiful T ^ T
YES I KNOW I WAS JUST ABOUT TO COMMENT ON THAT
every time lol and I feel bad
Why on earth would you point this out, you messed up my experience
@@jeannie2312 sorrryyyy
@@XhanAnimations you are not forgiven!!! 😂
Music is the most used Language on Earth and you don't need a translator.
1:12 anyone hear Mado kara mieru? melody?
Every composition mixes bits of one of another songs of the album. Baba Yetu opens with Kia Hora Te Marino :)
is in all other music too
Personally I hear Baba Yetu here.
🌻👑🙌 sensationnel
This is my favorite movement :)
Chills.
Omg lincon center! Bba choir was theree! I was in that preformence! Small world huh?
Anyone notice how the end of this sounds very "Disney". Not in a bad way, of course.
Peter Richardson *Pixar
It sounds like a Disney fireworks show!
I play this as Gandhi sends the nukes flying.
7:27 is my favorite part

@FinalKnell yaaaa actually I'd much rather just buy it... I don't even know what the heck an "FLV converter is" lol
They're deaf. And bitter about it.
#FeelANEW ....
#DoANEW 4 #LifeOnEarth please.
Are the songs listed in order in the description? They seem wrong.
Gabe Gilbert if you scroll down and look at the group of songs marked 'dawn' you get the right songs
like a formula 1 season, starts and ends outside Europe :)... Can't wait until getting the CD ordered in December...
