Thanks for the info !
I get high G strings made for the baritone and do the same thing ur doing on the tenor. I’m playing clawhammer style on mine mostly for old time music.
Hi, I've discovered your channel this morning after having a slightly crazy idea last night. Kmise have introduced a very reasonably priced tenor banjole. With new uke string technology, I think it could be tuned in fifths like a fiddle, octave mandolin or Irish Tenor banjo, GDAE and the rest is obvious... :-) "Buyer beware", I haven't tried this (yet!) Alternatively, a soprano uke has the same scale length as a violin and I've seen videos of that in action.
I have a baritone uke. I will not play anything else. It is also good for bluegrass.
Thank you, i have been wanting to get into bluegrass ukulele for quite some time, great video 👍🏆.
Nice video!
One thing though; Iz actually played a tenor (it often *looks* like a soprano when you see him holding it, because of his size)
Hi great video you mention playing a banjo ukulele with slack string tuning to sound like a banjo. Would you play banjo chords or ukulele chords to play bluegrass . Thank you once again for a great tutorial.
Wow, I didn't know there were so many kinds of ukuleles!!
Yes, we have lots to choose from...but tenor is best for bluegrass uke.
Is there a string set for this tuning? LOVE me some Gold Tone!
so im interested in the second one, the banjolele, just making sure is it a tenor as well?
May I ask your opinion on the Kala electric tenor ukulele?
Hopefully you'll be able to find a "bluegrass ukulele" jam because any real bluegrasser is going to shun you or laugh you out of the jam. Ukulele is not a bluegrass instrument. Just get a mandolin
