The biggest reason I keep coming back to your videos is that you absolutely NAIL deephouse. I don't know any producer who can teach his audience like his while being on top of the game in this deephouse genre.
I'm still convinced the OT is the most best sampler ever created. The speed at which you just grabbed samples, locked in loops, and built a full track with breakdowns is uncanny.
The first, half minute jam blew my mind.... it's amazing how fast you can build up tracks from scratch!! This whole concept is screaming to be a setup for a live minimal deep house set (at least to me..) Ricky I've been following you for a while but DAMN
Yeah, I appreciate that! Maybe once my confidence and skills playing the keyboard improve, I could totally see this as a viable live set. I totally understand the live looping side of things, it’s just getting the sounds I like into it in the first place.
I've been using the Blooper for a few weeks and got all the Knobs-ian clean guitar/plinkplonks out of my system. This pedal has a whole universe to explore when you feed it different instruments and explore different sounds. Blooper house is an awesome destination!
Is it easy to work with a DAW and Blooper? I work mainly from a DAW and just thinking it could be a nightmare trying to make Blooper ideas fit a fixed bpm?
@@its_LUME do you see yourself running the audio from the DAW through the Blooper? Or using it with external instruments? I think there's some good possibilities in either case!
I'm starting to get into pedals more and have been experimenting with them. So much fun and sampling with them takes music to another level. My fest pedal is a Collider and I'm having a blast with it.
Two awesome pedals that work well together really does go a long way. Really getting into the pairing of my Chase Bliss Mood mk.II (on Reverb) mode and a Meris Polymoon. It's two devices, each with two types of processing (micro-looper/granular reverb + granular delay/modulation). And it all works together so well for improvised loops and soundscapes and highly performative, with the expression pedal control. Have you tried setting pedals like that up under pedal control, while playing a keyboard like your Nord into them?
Such an awesome sound! Don’t have a Blooper but do have an OT and I can’t help but feel that it could do similar things using Pickup Machines but damn if I can figure out how to use them! Nudge idea for a video? 🤔😆
Yo Ricky, I had question about pedals if anyone knows- will an overdrive pedal’s soft clip prevent a signal from passing 0 db? Looking for another clipper type of hardware to add with my analog heat +fx
it can, but most circuits have an amplifier section after the clipping stage so you could go over 0db if you crank the volume knob. I haven't done it with any overdrives but on my limiter pedals, I made a mark on the settings that limits around 0db - you could probably do the same with the volume knob on an overdrive pedal

haha! every time I try to step out into another genre it just sounds like deep house too. Blessing and a curse. thanks for tuning in!

Man, that first single note loop at 3:03 was so good.

@@RickyTinez Just go for it! So experimental yet so humble...

"Of course it sounded off because the loops were off" - dude, that's where the magic is! 🔥
exactly!
I’m early. Love your videos Ricky. Thanks for the years
Glad you like them! And thanks for the support!
As soon as I heard you say "oh no", I knew what was going on.
Classic OT-move right there :D
Love this content so much
Ricky on keys! Nice work!
You're a beast on the knobs Ricky, but even your tongue got caught using the word "blooper" in a sentence . jajajajaja
Wow, the swell sounds awesome! I bet I can get something similar on my zoom multistomp, looking forward to trying that out

You can emulate a lot of the sounds you get from the blooper, but the difference will be the immediacy.
And this why we need resampling on the ep133 koii 😂
Sounds great man. Didn’t get to finish chopping it up last time at the pedal / synth expo in Hollywood. We gotta pow wow and talk FX next time.
ya man! 👍🏿
Dub house, very nice!
I would like to see more stuff about dawles processing mixing mastering
