Nice work Vedder, this is a really flexible way of addressing different FW versions. Very cool stuff. The known errata in particular is great for safety.

Hi ,I've just bought my Trampa with duel vesc and being an Apple guy I wonder if you are planning on offering the mobile vesc tool app for ISO ? As I'm going to have to buy a spare android phone just to use vesc otherwise.

Hi, i wonder if you could helm me figuring something out, i recycled an e-bike battery, i could get more of the same but this battery has a 8connector CAN bus in the bms board i dont know why?!.
Any idea if i can use this battery without anything connected to this?.
Or is there an adapter i could connect the battery to this application?.

    Hi Benjamin,
I'm having an issue when updating the firmware from 3.58 to 3.66.
It says: Status: Serial port error: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.
I've tried everything that I can find online and nothing has worked.
I post this here because I have gotten no reply on the forum.
    Thank you!

    Hi Benjamin
I'm considering VESC and hobby BLDC motor to build an underwater scooter (Diver Propulsion Vehicle).
The first pick is 6384 120KV BLDC (1kg outrunner) powered by 5-6s li-ion pack and your ESC. The reduction ratio for the propeller would be around 1:4.
The average power around 500W (not more)
Is there an option to control your ESC via 3rd party hardware (i.e. Arduino)?
The goal is to have only 1 button (hall/reed) to controll the underwater speed level - by detecting the sequences of quick release/push.
I know how to write the code (arduino/digispark ) but don't know how to translate output pwm to VESC desired speed.
Is smoothing out pwm by rc filter (limited to 3,3V) and passing it to VESC ADC good approach?

It is easily done with arduino servo library. The arduino will send ppm signal on desired pin and then you just need to set up ppm input in vesc tool.

Hey. Great job! But I have a problem with update procedure. It is very-very-very slow. I have a flipsky vesc with fw3.103 from Ackmaniac. I tried flashing the same FW from Ackmaniac and the update was fast, however when I tried updating to 4.1 using the new Vesc Tool the update was very slow. in 5 minutes the progress was only 6.3% I was receiving the following errors in the debug console
2020-02-03 22:04:33: WARNING (:0 ): Writing LZO failed, but regular write was OK.
    2020-02-03 22:04:33: WARNING (:0 ): 10 400

getting over ~100 volts makes a much more expensive controller because it needs isolated components.

    • @vadeum
      @vadeum 5 лет назад +1

We've already made 140v VESC. Isolated power design.

@@vadeum I have visited your website, watched your product and thought that was exactly what I wanted.
Previously, I had searched for it on the internet, and didn't find it until today.
Maybe more advertisements would be better?

good afternoon. Help me please with other project and vesc.... please tell me which controller is better to use on an electric scooter 2 motors with 65mm magnets 110mm stator (4kwt per one), with a 16s12p tesla 21700 battery.needed 70a per rear motor and 50a at front motor ... i saw only your vesc 75v / 200a dual ..https: //ruclips.net/user/serok64 -they tested him at first time on scooter, but doubt wil it be enouhgt for long runs and my specs, my ridding is very agressive ... what power can I get from this controller and in general which controller do you recommend and where is it better to buy for my specs? That esc was bought from spintend.com/products/75v-200a-dual-motor-controller-ubox-based-on-vesc.
