oh man - I want my motor to sound like the Tron legacy bikes! Actually if you could put "someone is stealing this bike" out of the motor as a security thing - that could be pretty cool.
for it to be usable, it would be good that the tone can be started/stopped by a CAN bus message. Also is the midi file uploaded to vesc persistent? or does it require loading every single time it powers up???
The Super Mario Kart (on SNES) departure chime & arrival chime will perfectly fit the purpose 😀 Nevertheless. If implementing these features is done, it means all the rest is now achieved, perfect.
Hello! One question: I have the Lisp file for the VESC Controller Dual and VSETT Display but I don't have a VESC Dual, just a 75100. Does that matter or do I need the Lisp for the one 75100 Controller and VSETT Display? And how do I upload this Lisp? If I press Lisp in the VESC tool on the computer and then select everything and press delete with the mouse and then just click on insert the Lisp file for the new VSETT display and press upload? Or do I have to select something specific at the bottom of the list beforehand? What do I have to select below? Or do I just have to click below:; Press "Examples" and select the whole thing at the top and press delete, so delete everything and then paste the Lisp at the top and click upload. Does that agree with the bottom: Examples and then paste my copied Lisp file for the VSETT display at the top and upload? Can you just please answer me. 1. press Lisp 2. press .... 3. insert Lisp file and 4. press upload. My kmh display on the VSETT display works from RX + TX cable. I I have connected RX to TX and TX to RX from the VESC 75100 and VSETT display. I beg you! Kind regards :)
This is professional and funny at the same time)))) Now for each vehicle you will need two motors. One will push the car and the second will make the sound of a diesel or gasoline engine 😅😅😅
The new code he is illustrating was done specifically so it can create sounds while it's running. You just need a synthetic engine sound generator to feed it.
If you added an esp32 playing bluetooth audio could you hook it up to the vesc to play internet radio and/or a home assistant to tell you if someone rang the door bell?
Would be interesting to test how much extra battery this requires compared to running regularly without this mod. Also how much hotter the motor runs with this as compared to without it. The test setup I'd imagine would be running a stretch of known terrain without this mod to get a baseline. Then run the same stretch again with this mod and see what differs in battery usage and motor temperature.
So, Now my motor can play jetsons car noises while I drive? SWEET!
This is beautiful, you have done God's work
Super cool! Bind it to a button and you have a horn!
Alternatively, you could play a police siren 🚨
Having this implemented in Lisp is genius! This is so convenient to give extra feedback to the user 😊
You're a genius . Would it be possible to have our motor's make engine sounds . I can imagine the confusion on my friends faces .
With Mario Cart music
What a wonderful feature! I must VESC my OneWheel to just try this on it!

Can it be added as a CAN bus command? So that we can send a tune/ trigger the tone through CAN bus??

Is the function accessible for C native functions by VESC_IF structure?
I would be very happy if I could do midi out from my guitar and do this live while riding.
🤣haha your firmware is now complete!
I guess it's now a real servo speaker.
Can't wait for people to blast mp3s from drones.
If you can build a OneWheel with floppy drive motors you will have truly ascended to greatness.
This is LIT! 🔥
Crazy cool

The possibilities are endless 😂😂😂

Amazing! I've been using a piezzo buzzer for user feedback, but this would be so much better. Hope i can trigger it over UART
You are so awesomely insane!! 😅
yesss!
Totally love this :)
Ok this is amazing!

ok, now i wanna connect my phone over bluetooth and use it as a speaker lol
❤

despacito on vesc onewheel when
Will my ebike direct drive motor do this? 😂😂😂 I want police sirens or some sort of spaceship noise like teslas make
❤
