    This is by far, without a doubt, the best locator call I've found, and the tutorial is extremely helpful.

    I have the Walnut & the burnt Osage. Hands down the best locator calls I've ever used, and I've used many over the years!

    You sold me on one a few years back, I needed a good owl call for long distances when my voice isn’t enough. You make them sound great, hope they compensate well lol, they sound real good with just a little practice and hand placement adjustments 👍

    When I purchased mine, the synthetic was the only one in stock. But it fools the real thing!! Ive had several owls come to me while trying to roost one!! Great job running those!!

    Was surprised by the blind test. I actually liked C the best. 😲 That being said, they all sound great, and you’re the master at running one for sure. I use my natural voice, but if I ever decide to invest in one it would definitely be this one. Thanks for the video. Hope you have your best season yet!!

    Awesome video! I got the synthetic a few years ago when that's what was in stock. Impressed my cousin and he bought the walnut later. I thought the walnut had better tone, but between the distance examples and the blind sound test surprised me. They all sound great! The difference is minimal at a distance. Regardless of material, best owl locater call out there!

      I thought the same, except I preferred the Burnt Osage. I forgot the order when I recorded the video and wasn't sure which one was the Osage when I played it back. 😅

    Thanks for doing this video I heard this in the woods on multiple occasions I always thought it was two coyotes locating but I guess it’s owls. Spot on with the rolling. Sound just like the real thing.

    I had to buy a couple to figure out the difference. Bought the synthetic then went to walnut. Sounded better to me. And it looks cooler 😂

    Got a question for all of you using this call. I bought one years ago when I watched Mr. Simpson use one and I carry it all the time. The problem is that after a lot of carry time the two parts of the call are falling apart and I'm afraid I'll lose half the call. I tried electric tape to hold the halves together but it failed after one season. The question is can I glue the two halves together??? If so, what kind of glue or adhesive should I use? I have the walnut version.

    Shane Which is the one you usually run? I can’t tell if it is the walnut or the burnt osage? You sound awesome! Great video

    When I had mine is was by far the most realistic sounding and easiest to use hooter I had. But it never got shock gobbles for me. I have this awful more akin to a duck K&H hooter that is shrill and extremely loud that gets em every time

      So many people only owl hoot a couple times. They don’t know a gobbler sometimes sleeps through this. Also a good loud laugh on a Harrison will do the trick a lot of times.

    • @ShaneSimpsonHunting
      @ShaneSimpsonHunting  Год назад

      I agree Gary. The laugh is what seems to trigger the most gobbles for me.
