I saw a Romanian RPK in one of Chris's videos. I emailed him a crap ton of questions and he patiently answered all of them. I then called him and asked a few more. I purchased the RPK over the phone and had it sent to my LGS. Great gun, great price, great customer service, and great videos. Thanks Chris!
As a side note/small world type of thing. This RPK is made from a Romanian parts kit with a US receiver. The receiver was made here in town. What are the odds?
I have both the Colt LE6920 M4 SOCOM, and the CZ 805 S1. Paid 1300.00 for the BREN, and around 1400.00 on the Colt. Trigger out of the box is better in the CZ, front is heavier as well, but I feel it aids in preventing muzzle rise, and keeping the barrel on target. I Put a Larue MBT 2S trigger, pistol grip, CTR stock, Magpul offset trigger guard and Sig Romeo 5 on the Colt. It has a 14" pin and welded flash hider. On the CZ I have an Eotech 512, grip pod, and some KNS pic side rails, and angled charging handle. Both run very reliable, but for accuracy, I give it to the BREN. Even with the Iron sights. The BREN runs smooth, and has a pretty nice trigger out of the box. Runs Cleaner, but does chew a lot more brass of the casings. Have had a little wear around the gas ports on the gas block (looks like chrome plating is coming off a little). That is the only negative thing I can say.
Current state of the Czech military guns: Army: 40% CZ BREN 2 (what you call the "CZ 806") and 60% CZ 805 Reserve: 50% CZ 805 and 50% Vz. 58 More or less. I don't know the exact numbers.
Thomas McNab No. I'm not. And I never shot Bren in my life. So I can't really answer the question. All I can say is that Vz. 58 is a great gun, but the stock sucks. The lower end is pointy and pokes in the shoulder. I wonder if the sidefolder is any better.
Very nice video. I bought a CZ 805 after attending a NATO School in the Czech Republic. I love it, but I have to say I’m disappointed in the accuracy. I thought the 1:7 twist might add something but it’s still less accurate than my 1:9 AR-15.
Zack Cc How do the differ in sense of how they feel feel? And how big is the difference? Currently looking at the Bren 805 and Springfield Saint Original
Piston driven much more robust than direct impingement, check out battlefield las Vegas stats, they have a scar w well over 200k rounds and still shooting only changed out the barrel, they say there impingement ar15s break bolts ,bolt heads, extractor claws all the time, they said piston driven is far superior maintenance wise and durability wise ,they said piston is definitely the way to go

I have the CZ Bren Pistol, and I have to say I enjoy it a lot. If you're wanting to go 7.62 then I would get the Galil Ace. I haven't shot it yet, however I have handled it at the store I work at and I am thinking of going that route then the AK. FYI, the Galil comes in 7.62X51 and 7.62X39 as well.
I mean there are several ways you can make that be a non issue. Could either move it to the other side and run it AK style, could just not grip the gun by the magwell, etc. It's an amazing firearm.

Thanks, Dave! I am glad you are happy with the RPK! Thanks for watching and thanks for your business - Enjoy!
I bought this exact cz rifle a week ago, waiting for it to reach my FFL currently :)
hopefully you got it for a good price and in fde, price has been pretty steady upward since i got mine in 2017
9:47 "a flipping rear sight". Good job, keep it family friendly.
Bud's sold the 805 for $1250 at first release. Wish I bought one then.
Damn I paid 1750 before taxes for the bren 2
That’s insane. Now the 805 bren s1 goes for close to $2K
Thanks for the upload Chris
Great information again Chris, Thank You.
i hated my AR, i always felt like it was going to blow up in my face. my BRENs extra weight makes me feel more confident in its construction.
RedArmyLLC you’re missing out brotha
You're a fucking idiot.
Thanks for taking the time to share all the cool guns that you come across!
That 805 is beautiful!

I can get a cz... should the fact that it is discontinued worry me about parts?
Best comparisons i you tube as usual

are you in the czech army? if so do you prefer cz 805 and bren 2 over the vz 58?

@@nuphhrffe875 And what do you think ? Cuz i dont think that bren 805 is as bad as every czech operator says.
@@vulkeks4583 i've shot either just wanted to know.

i got the BREN and sold my Mossberg MMR cuz it felt like it was going to blow up in my face. the BREN does not feel like thats going to happen.
RedArmyLLC did buy it new or used
1 in 7" twist is meant to stabilize the military tracer round. It will best stabilize 77 grain bullets best.
I know you will not see this but thank you for making that clear. When he said that's for 55gr. I thought Oh Oh. Iv'e got my information wrong. Whew..
Got my Bren S1 pistol over a year ago before the prices jumped :) still havent shot it hahaha
I kind of wish I would have held out for the upcoming bren 2 but I love my 805! Way cooler than just another AR.
Michael Hernandez I was wondering... I do wanna get the 805/806 but how does it differ from an AR Saintspring?
Dominic Vladica the main difference functionality wise is piston driven instead of direct impingement.

Hang on a minute. You said the maintenance is less on the DI?
I thought the gas piston it's cleaner means less maintenance?
Will the CZ hold a 5.56 magpul or x drum?
For sure the d60 I have one for mine
Chris chk out the Faxon pencil AR barrel. Very good performance when hot. Also chk InRangeTV’s WWSD light wgt AR with the Faxon pencil barrel.
Thx for the vid. Two great guns! Wonder why the Czech wants to change guns that fast.
Isn't 1:7 twist mostly for the heavier bullets?

Do you mean the change from almost 50 years old gun concept or the change from worse 805 Bren to 806 Bren 2?
Quick question...Isn’t it supposed to be really difficult to disassemble the bcg on the Bren? Great video as always!
Yea, unfortunately you need a hammer and punch to do so. Thanks for watching!
Looking at either the galil Ace or the cz bren

I own a bren 2 in 556 and the galil in 762x51 I love them both
The body of the bren is metal?
Bruh the Bren kicks the shit out of the AR 15.
Cz (czech) bren 805 did not entered slovak army they have vz. 58 bren entered czech army. Exept of 601.skss they zde m4s.
I’d get a bren if it didn’t have a reciprocating charging handle. :(

Bren 2 is non reciprocation
First!!!
