"I've never heard of a cruise ship stopping at Hispaniola." That's because they use the country names, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Yeah, most people don't know the name of the island because most islands only have one country on it hahaha
I knew as soon as they said that the rest of the islands were tiny in comparison to Cuba, that they didn't have a fucking clue as to what Hispaniola was or where it was.
also when they said trinidad and tobago are the same island...
@@panner11 Well that's normal because you always say '' Trinidad and Tobago '' and rarely speak of only Trinidad

at least the Spanish left their colonies in good shape unlike British and French, The Germans lost theirs and Italy lost theirs and Islam came back destroyed anything Italian and Christian. Because in islam anything that is not arab is not worthy and Allah hates anything that is not Arab.
@@InugamiTheHound Dude Spain left most of their colonies pretty fucked up, hate to say it but you don't know your history, think of Canada or Australia in comparison to Venezuela or Central America, the difference is obvious, partly due to the climate and environment but mostly due to how Spain ran their colonies in comparison to the British.

I love how Garbo was upgraded from a silly character that was randomly created to now a mascot for a sales day. Only AH can make something so ridiculous, but I love it. 😂
Hope you have a lovely, Garbo Tuesday everyone! Cheers! 😊 💖
Pretty sure Garbo Man was created in conjunction with the first Garbo day. I don't think he was created then adapted later for Garbo day.
@CJ Carpenter Nope, he was a throw away joke that Michael made because he wanted to do a silly voice. :) I think it's from early 2017 that the joke started. :o
@@tsukikumoon2890 As Michael explained, the word Garbo started to float around the office. Thanksgiving Sale came, and Michael said the deals were Garbo. Then Jack said Garbo Day, which made them put a Garbo Day Sale, which is the Tuesday after Cyber Monday. Then they made the Garbo Man mascot in this video.
That's from the Rooster Teeth Reddit page.
@CJ Carpenter I suppose I'm getting confused with the Halo 5 let's play that is titled "Garbo Man" that came out in June of 2017. Thanks for the clear up dude. :)
HOCKENHEIM!

That was such a great race there this season lol
@@sonicrose8430 Also the best season overall in a good while. The F1 question was one of the few questions I knew 100% too haha
OzzFi this season has its ups and downs, sometimes Lando and Carlos were the only reasons I still watched lol. Germany, Brazil, and Italy were great. France and Abu-Dhabi kinda stunk, and Belgium was in its own category.
@@sonicrose8430 What is this sorcery?! I've managed to find people talking about F1 on a non-F1 related channel!
Christopher Columbus was Italian and sailed for Spain, Ryan.
Thank you, as an Italian American I wish to impart to Ryan a girthy “Suck it” and “Get good scrub.”
For any who might be curious, Hispaniola (or Espanola) was the original island Columbus landed on. It was home to the Taino people before the spanish wiped them out, and currently has both the Dominican Republic and Haiti on its landmass. As the only island on the list to contain two countries, i can see it being second largest. Excuse spelling
I always thought San Salvador was the very first island of the New World Columbus stepped on.
I thought it was Española, but I could be wrong. It might be that the Taino were the first tribe he attacked. They were on Española, explaining my confusion
I hope they are aware that there is an updated version of this game on Switch.

Even worse... There was a question about philosophy and who wrote something first and they chose a woman (Simone de Beauvoir, a reknown feminist)
Women got the right to work in the 1900s but hey, why wouldn't women be early philosophers?!
@@dzello Simone de Beauvoir is pretty recent, but "women couldn't work until the 20th century so they couldn't be writers" is a bizarre train of logic! A Google search turns up philosopher Hypatia from the fourth century...

34:33: Well that gives a horrifying new context to Black Friday. So whenever Poland hears about a "Black Friday sale"...Oh god. Now I have the image of people hopped up on amphetamines trying to trample everything in their way...The irony is not lost on me.
Also, Columbus was Italian (Genoese) and made multiple trips, and Magellan didn’t actually circumnavigate the globe, but members of his expedition did
I like how the absolute hardest Science and Nature questions are stuff you learned in high school, with most being far easier, while Arts and Literature is like: who wrote this book that sold 12 copies?
They must really teach the civil war differently in the the North for Jeremy to say that Sherman fought in WWII
Makes sense tbh, I mean I know enough about both of the generals in a conversation, but I was surprised when Jeremy said that lmao
I’m Australian and my explanation for knowing the answer between the 2 was that I knew they had Sherman tanks in ww2 so I was pretty confident that a tank was named after someone, (not 100% it is but I assume so) he wouldn’t be fighting along side it
From my experience with history classes, Sherman was never brought up. The only generals that get named specifically are Grant and Lee.
@cade clark you probably right
I think they might have confused Martin Luther with Martin Luther King Jr. Two very different people from years apart

Hearing Michael yell "TONKS?!?!?" in the background is fucking excellent, lmao
As a history nerd, Lindsay’s answer to the first question hurt me so much
