- Here's a real driving test route at Morden driving test centre! Francis talks you through some of the hardest junctions and sections at Morden driving test centre and shows you what you need to look out for and what might trip you up on your test if you choose to do your driving here!
Passed first time today with 2 minors 😀 my words of advice are don't be scared you can do it just relax and be confident. Theyre not there to fail you show them what you can do. Good luck guys. P.S this channel really helped :)
i failed a steep hill stop and he goes lack of control it was a shitty car but my fault my dad was pissed he took me to one of the steepest hills around manchester showed me the clutch, gas technique my driving instructor had never shown me this ever props to my dad for taking a disappointment like me
I passed today too with just 2 minors!! But it was my second attempt, having failed my first test in December. So glad it's over and done with!!!! :D
Did you take your test in Morden as well?
@@remyhadley6595 well done!

Thank you so much! My test is next week and I feel so much better after watching your video. I definitely go back to Morden and try the hard route you have mentioned before my test.😊
I passed today! Thank you so much 😊 🎊🤩🎊🤩😊
Hey how did it go? X
Passed my test today in Morden with only one minor...Francis's videos were my main source of study (theoretical) before the test and they were a massive help. Think my missus has a crush on him, seems a charmer with the ladies!! The biggest advice I would give someone is to commentate to yourself out load during the test as much as possible, acknowledging everything around you. Basically, talk yourself through the test and make sure the Examiner hears your thought process, even acknowledging mistakes you might have made, if you do go with this approach. Thanks again Francis
Congrats Connor thats an absolutely amazing score!! You must be WELL proud of that! Thanks so much for the kind words I bloody love comments like this! Makes all the hard work that goes into the videos so worth it 😃 And very good advice on the commentary! It really does help to keep you focused and the examiner relaxed :)
Thanks to you and your missus for watching and hope you stick around now you've passed!!! 🙌
I’m from Leeds but your commentary was fantastic. The way you explain things are simple, nothing complicated. Easy to understand
Your right, Ford Focus are the best car in the world. I love mine😀
Please continue with this. Your hard work are valuable to your followers. Thank you.
Much appreciated! Focus' are definitely up there with Lambo's and Ferrari's lol
Thank you Francis , I have passed my test here in Morden today. Your sessions were fabulously helpful. Thanks 🙏
Awesome job Felix!!! These are the messages we love to hear!!
@@DrivingSchoolTV thank you so much.
I watched this video last night before my test today, and I got this route!! I passed. Thank you so much for the video 💕
Hah no way how lucky is that !! 😁🙌🥳🎉
Thanks good I seen this video 4 times before made my driving test, the examiner took me there and I pass today ❤
I love these videos - really helpful
Glad you like them!
Just passed my test.. that junction @19:15 nearly failed me. Francis you are a top man! Keep up the good work.
🙌🎊🎉 congrats!!!! Glad we could help!
Got my test at Morden in July. Great helpful vid :) 👍🏽
Also, I know you mentioned there's like 16 routes and can't do all.
But maybe can do a vid on all the most 'hard/difficult' parts on the test routes in Morden , that'll be elite.
Good suggestion! thank you. The crossroads and Sutton high street are probably the hardest. Also look at the other walkthrough video I did in Morden :)
Passed my driving test after my second attempt, this video helped a lot because I figured that I would be having a hard route 😊
Congrats Tida!!!! 🙌
just passed today at morden with only two minors, these videos really helped me improve my anticipation & planning.. thank you so much

Watching this before I go in. Francis you are so funny. Amazing videos thank you.

Thanks Francis for making such a wonderful video , your explanation is superb. Really appreciate you. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. Mine driving test also in Morden.

@@DrivingSchoolTV Mine is on 16 July , honest to God , I am big Fan of you. I learn all driving with you while watching your video. I wish I could have a Mock test with you.

Great video. Very helpful😊
Glad it was helpful!
I'm excited for the show me tell me questions.
Hi thanks for you wonderful videos.we need a video in hendon please.☺️
Passed my test at Morden first time today. No sense of achievement tho, as i'm 26. Thanks for these entertaining training videos. I might come back to these to refresh my knowledge.
Great job! Huge sense of achievement! There's no age you're supposed to be able to drive by! You learn the skill when you need the skill! I wouldnt learn chinese unless I was going to work in china. You learned to drive when you needed it and now you've got a lifetime of happy driving ahead of you!!! Congrats bro!!
@@DrivingSchoolTV You are an amazing human Francis! Your humour and smiles always make me warm and fuzzy. I also passed my driving test on Monday at the age of 43! I have an international licence but it was sadly not recognised in the UK so I had to start again after waiting 15 years of being here!!! Like you said so rightly, you learn the skill when you need the skill. In my case, I have not needed a UK licence until now lol! Thank you SO MUCH as I watched your videos on repeat for a week!!! Passed first time in Morden after under a week of practice with a local instructor in Croydon! Just believe in yourselves people! You can do it!!!
Thank you for your big help🙏🏻 my test is coming up soon in modern!
Best of luck!
Thank you 😊
@@DrivingSchoolTV if you don’t mind I would like to take mock test, before I go to my practical test please.

passed first time with 1 minor…I watched ALL Morden driving videos, search rose hill roundabout explanation and Morden hall roundabout explanation…there is also an app where you pay £12 and it gives you ALL UK driving test routes…go through all 19 routes at least once!!! Good luck, be yourself, look in mirrors, and listen to instructions..,when reversing remember to look back, stop when other cars / pedestrians come…I didn’t get tested on parallel / bay parking but make sure you are confident in this just incase….i had about 20 hours worth of lessons…find a really good instructor I had a nasty one, went through about 4 instructors, my last one was the best.
passed my test in Morden today, 6 minors, my first attempt, these videos helped me big time!
Congrats Imber!! Thanks for watching 🤩
That's fantastic news.. How many lessons did u take I've got my test in Morden I'm not nervous as never experienced it before. But don't feel ready but didn't want to cancel my test as would take six months to find another test
Thank you for the super guard lines Driving test
I’m in central Scotland so obviously I’m not affected by this route at all. I had my second test yesterday though after failing my first one back in October. Passed this time with 6 minors. Just after I set off I had to stop at a 4 way control set of traffic lights. Was sat there for a good couple of minutes but managed to get it and held myself together as I was so nervous during my lesson before it!
Congrats Jessica!!!
I remember my first test, I had a lady on the older side who didn't speak to me outside of the driving instructions, yet, for my second test which I aced, it was a younger lady, I'd say late twenties, early thirties at a push, we spoke for a good 15-20 minutes of the rest about a multitude of things; my daughter, my holidays, her upcoming holiday, the weather, current times with the pandemic - it was great! Personally, it eased me a bit. Took a bit of stress off with it not being silent, as of course I wasn't used to driving in silence with my instructor. Others, it'd distract them but it definitely helped me! Was a great experience
Oh wow you've passed already!! Thanks for watching!! can you remember who it was that tested you?
@@DrivingSchoolTV Oh I wouldn't have a clue thinking back to it. It was the Handsworth test centre in Sheffield, just recall having two totally different experiences and the second was much better for sure!
Passed first time in Morden with 4 minors! Thank you so much for your videos they’ve been so helpful because I’ve only done 27 hours of driving and no outside practice I was super nervous
Did you do a driving course or did you book it all separately?
@@Sir.T I booked an “intensive” but I scheduled my lessons over 2 months, on a one/two a week basis, I found that the weeks I had 2 lessons I made the most progress so I would recommend doing it more frequently than once a week
@@spacestark Makes sense. That's what I'm currently doing, a 30hr intensive but they set aside 3hrs for the test day. So 27hrs total practice. I've been doing two lessons a week at 2hr each.
@@Sir.T you should be more than fine with that! It was a bit scary when I got to 20 hours bc I was definitely not ready and just finished the “course” but having the lessons quite close together u make a lot of progress. Getting closer to the test I went down to one a week and then had one two days before my test date and that worked for me
@@spacestark that's good, congrats on the pass however. And that's what I'm going to do a week before the test have a few lessons back to back. I'm hoping the test route I get in Mordon isn't difficult, I do fine in Mordon when I'm doing lessons, so I should be okay.
OMG YOU DONT KNOW HOW BAD I NEEDED THIS
🙌
Hi Francis. I saw all of your videos all night last night and passed my practical driving test this morning. I got my pass certificate just now from the Morden test centre. I am overjoyed but emotional. I came home and hugged my family. We are planning for a long drive already. Thank you so much. I feel confident now. The secret about passing the exam is all about reading and following the road signs. A big Thank you!!
Wow congrats Sharon!! Thanks for watching and enjoy that road trip!!
Francis is an absolute legend, wish you were my instructor.
😉
Hey Francis, I’ve booked my test for feb 15th in modern I’m really nervous, I can drive manual easily but I guess nervous and struggle changing my gears when tuning into a minor road from a main road, can you do a quick vid of that please
4:33 “Hmm I’m sorry Mr Francis to award you a driving fault for not checking your left blind spot when moving off” haha great video
Hah thanks for spotting that!! I teach my learners to drive how they would in real life. There's absolutely no need for a 6 point check unless the pavement is really busy.
Got my test in Morden in just 2 weeks, just nervous about the manoeuvres
Keep your hands on the wheel Francis!!! 🤣
... It's so you can hear me better 😐
love the way u calm urself francis amazing technique xD
Thanks 😅
Great camera quality,!!
Thanks!
18:35 The side road on the left is incredibly wide and was originally built like this to allow the trolley buses to turn round at this point without de-hooking. Just a bit further down the road on the left is Sutton Green which used to have the public air raid shelters under it. The Sutton Driving Test centre used to be on a little side road on the right around 18:50 this would be in the 1970's. The parking was in an MOT garage in the side street and the examiners came out a now gone big office block on the right. There used to be a driving school premises in a shop in a parade where they had driving lesson simulators in the 1970's. The school was called "Come Driving" and the simulators were car interior replicas consisting of a car seat, steering wheel, gear lever and hand brake with a TV. You could do a few lessons before you were old enough to go on the road.
Wow so cool how do you know all this??
Are you an instructor around Morden Keith??
@@DrivingSchoolTV I lived in Sutton from late 1950's until early 1970's. My parents lived in Sutton through WW2 until late 1970's. Father was in Royal Navy and mother in Army during the hostilities. I became interested in transport of all types during this time. Times were different then, there was no PC the local MP Neal MacFarlane owned a Lamborghini Espada which was impressive to me. The road to the left just past the green, Stayton road two famous drivers lived Graham North and George Polley Graham 267 drove stock cars and if you tipped him off about dumped Ford Anglias in the street they would be scooped up. His car was in every colour top imaginable over the years This was how recycling was done. George drove Hot Rods and was very successful too. H306. Another notable person fairly locally, based in Worcester Park was called Jack Brabham formula one world champion 1959, 1960 and 1966 but locally he was a driving instructor. This is very interesting and in my opinionthese were extraordinary times..
Brabham was a driving instructor 🤯 that would have been amazing to have been taught by him!!
Thank you for sharing Keith! Much appreciated 😊
Got my test at Morden in 4 days! Slightly nervous but gonna go with full confidence and hopefully smash it!
💪let’s gooooo
@@DrivingSchoolTV I passed with 1 minor! 🥳
@@okami571 well doneee
Hi, At 13:50 who gets to go first or is it down to judging the body language of the van? I've been in that situation before and got a minor for hesitation as I waited for the opposing car to go.
11:58 At Stop signs obviously you must stop but you must stop at the line. If you stop short, i.e. in a place where you are too far back to take effective observation before emerging you need to peep and creep forward until you are in a spot where it is possible to see all the roads effectively. Once there you need to stop again because if you do a rolling stop (not actually stopping) at this second place you are deemed to not have stopped at the line. I think this "at the line" scenario is how many learners fail at stop signs.
Brilliant!! Yes indeed if you stop too soon you need to stop again :)
Hi great videos.
Can I be cheeky & ask what set up you use for your in car cameras? 😀
Hah... You like? We use go pros
@@DrivingSchoolTV right I have a go pro.
Thinking of doing a few videos. Yours look great quality
What kinda videos? Are you a driving instructor?
8:46 there are two lines to your left, one with dotted outside and solid inside, does that mean you cannot change lanes to left, but from left they can come into the right lane?
Hi, Francis
Many thanks for the video, very helpful!
At 21:40-21:45, did your car block the junction? Not a challenge, just want to ensure I understand the rule correctly.
THANKS AGAIN!
Yes I did lol but it doesn’t say keep clear and It’s not a yellow box. I don’t want to let everyone in for no reason I’ve got videos to make 😆
Hahaha. Fair enough! By the way, I passed my test and you and your videos should take the credit for that. THANKS!
@21:40 would that be classed as a minor because you stopped infront of a side road blocking traffic merging onto the main road?
Thats what's called a meeting situation. It's my priority over the side road because traffic on the side road is behind a give way line so I'm fine to stop there to give way, and block them, but well spotted!!😉
Lol I got so happy when you went past my cousins house on quarry park road
Amazing
Saw Francis today in asda, tidy bloke and he even put his arm when changing aisles.
Pahahaha!! Should have sounded your horn to alert him to your presence and pulled him up for not having mirrors fitted to the trolley
@@DrivingSchoolTV I love watching all of your videos. I just wish they was more driving instructors around like you 🙂
Back again after nearly a year and I have my test here in less than two weeks 😅
Also, I saw one of your drivers (or maybe you? 👀) with a student at Lidi’s Rowan Road car park last week.
Ah your test is at Morden!.. was it a black car? that would've been Laura!
Cheltenham or Worcester is where I will be tested... such a small place so we can’t find any things like this for it! I wish you could teach me 🤣
Oh Holls only a casj 90 miles away from me.. Is that too far for a lesson?? 😂🙈
@@DrivingSchoolTV I’ll get the next train I have a rail card 🤣🥴
😂 😂 cya soon
Quick question if you’re on a test and you’re on one of those residential 30 roads and you go 20 will you get a minor for going slow ?
Absolutely not! you should always drive to the conditions of the road. If the speed limit is 30 thats an absolute maximum you can do if the conditions allow it :)
@@DrivingSchoolTVyou helped me pass 3 years ago hopefully you help me pass again now 🥲😂
Francis got dat dawg in him
Hi Francis, Thanks for your video which is really useful. At 14:31, one lane split to two lane, do we need to signal if you drift to the left lane? Many thanks.
Hey Annie! It's not necessary to signal when you're merging unless someone behind, like a motorbike who looks like they might be planning on coming passed, would benefit from it. A mirror check is always necessary though 😊
@@DrivingSchoolTV Thank you Francis :)
I see you’re videos and there really helpful thanks mate.. I want to do a mock test with you need a contact from u!
DM us on insta @drivingschooltv
@@DrivingSchoolTV thanks 😊
Do you have to use handbrake? I find it much better without using the hand brake would that be a fail?
Same
No but if you stall they will mark it as a fault
Correct Val. There’s no requirement to use a handbrake unless you’re parking or pulling up
Is there something we can put into the satnav to take us this route?
Turning right is the most hard thing for me especially in the yellow box.
It all comes with practice. Ask your instructor to spend a lesson focussing on right turns, you pay for your lessons so they will be more than happy to focus on what you want to do 👍
Good advice from dmel

I've got my test in Morden next week. I have a question - as Morden test centre doesn't have its own car park will they take me into a random car park to get me to bay park or will they just ask me to parallel park? Thanks in advance!
They can take you to a public car park to do forward bay parking 😊
@@DrivingSchoolTV Thanks for your help!
@@DrivingSchoolTV Update - I just passed with 8 minors!
For me personally, that is the best possible route and I pray I get it. I know 95% of these roads, but none of Morden 😂
lol 😆 take it you’re from Sutton then!!
@@DrivingSchoolTV Wallington, but close enough!
3:53 woaaaah that was so close. Shouldn't you have waited for the oncoming? If I did this I'd probably fail for clearance
This is hilarious you remind me of my colleague 😂
I wish i had someone like you at Basildon to watch
Basildon isn't a million miles from us we are definitely trying to get more routes done in other areas
Hi all - I have a slot booked for Saturday the 12th June at 8am at Tolworth centre however I am not near ready yet! if you are based in west London and have a slot booked for August (before the 23rd) because my theory certificate expires on that day please let me know so we can swap :)
Test on the 28th at Morden 😝
When pulling up is it necessary to change to first gear? Cant you just clutch & brake like you do when stopping at a junction?
It's a good idea to get into the habit of going back into first gear before you get to a junction because if you're at a give away line and there's nothing coming you don't have to stop, you're already in the correct gear to keep going 😊 hope that helps!
Just read your message again. If you mean when you're pulling up on the left to park then going into first gear before you stop is not at all necessary
@@DrivingSchoolTV Thank you yes I meant when you're parking. Thank you for taking out the time to answer, you are so helpful! :)

Mostly I had same route in Morden
Driving 30mph on 20mph road ,,,, Major ???
Yes, the speed limit is a legal requirement. If you drive 10mph over it the police could pull you over and give you a fine. That's got to be a fail on your driving test.

Francis, didn't the car on the opposite minor road have priority at 13:59 since they were turning left on the major road and you were turning right in their way (so you should have waited for them) ?
We’re both behind give way lines. He didn’t move so I’ve got nothing on the major road to give way to 😊
