The only thing that has changed is the rolling stock from my only visit here in 1979. On that day, we came in behind a Class 47 with MK 1 stock, went to Llandudno for the day and came back the next day behind a CL24 (24081 still have the photo) and waiting for the conncection to Holyhead saw a railtour pulled by 2 x Class 20's. Amazing stuff at the time, and now just a memory, albeit with photos! Love the video and the sound of the 37 is magic. Hopefully back in the UK in 18 months to chase trains again.
Great video, LLJ is such a great station, it's my local station and all! In fact - you caught me in the video, I was stood closest to the 221 in that clip and I was the one that waved at the driver in the Class 40 clip! ;) Again, great video - my videos should be released tomorrow at midday.
@@CrossfellRailwayVideos You’re welcome. You probably know that the Great Britain tour is coming to Llandudno on 16th and 18th with Bahamas. Kind regards C&A
The last class 40 l saw on the main line was in December 1984 - at Peterborough heading south with a freight liner !! Must have been heading to King's Cross freightiner depot ? Must have been one of the last as it closed around about that time!
Great stuff Alan. I've been missing your great videos since you moved to Angelsey, I'm sure you've missed the steam too. No steam today, but next best thing? I got the loco change at Chester.
Hi Alan - I haven't been to the Junction since 2014 - must try to do a repeat visit this year. We've rather lost touch over the past year or so - hope you're keeping well - best wishes.
Great to see an immaculate 40 on the main line. The last time I was behind a 40 on the main line was in the 80's, on the Settle Carlisle when it was under threat of closure.
It's always pleasing to see a class 40 loco on the main line. Super video footage here Allan.
Cheers - Allan. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it Allan. That location is a "first" for me.
A great train video😉
Greetings from Romania and all the best, good luck!👍🚆
Super rail activity and british trains!🚄
Thank you very much!

Thanks for your memories. Me, too!! Though twenty years ago i was never nearer to holyhead than Chester!
Hello Alan, Nice captures from sunny Wales. The 40 looking and sounding well. Regards, John
It was looking (and sounding) very good but only half-a-dozen admirers!
Excellent work my friend enjoyed it
Thank you! Cheers!

Very true - a great location, though i wish the special had used platform3 !
Amazing video! Stunning sound and lovely shots. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
Excited video Alan. Glad you were able to capture the Class 40 . Nice sounds, worth the shot. The carriages are fantastic. Kind regards C&A
Thanks a lot, both. I had totally missed that train!

I didn't know it was Bahamas but was aware of that event - and looking forward to it! Thanks again!
Superb sight and sound from the Class 40 Alan, very well captured. Cheers, Jeff.
Many thanks Jeff!

Yes I have - but it's very peaceful here, son and daughter-in-law close by (he was driving the Voyager).

We are well, thanks Tim. Not much doing here, railway wise - but we didn't come here for that.

What a joke. Mostly covered by bushes.
