Disgrace at the U.N.

  • For only the second time in the history of the Jewish state, (the first time was in the final days of the Obama Administration), the United States refused to use its veto power in the United Nations and thus allowed passage of resolution favorable to the terrorists of Hamas. Steve Green thinks the country should put itself on its own watch list of states that support terrorist activities.

October 7 destroyed it all. I will never be able to feel comfortable in the company of any Arab Muslim. I will always feel that deep down they wish I were dead. I think almost every Israeli feels this way now. We are afraid in our own country.

Conservatives seem to have a real blind spot when it comes to Israel, bordering on jingoism. No one's against them going after Hamas. The ceasefire was needed because of civilian deaths caused by Israel. It'd be like if China invaded and occupied Taiwan and we started indiscriminantly bombing Taiwanese cities just cuz CCP forces were holed up in there. Pointing that out doesn't make one pro-terrorist or pro-Hamas or anti-Israel and it doesn't mean we forget about the attrocities committed by Hamas either. In fact, a lot of the people calling for the ceasefire are Israel Jews themselves.
I get that we should be skeptical of the numbers put out by the Palestinian Health Authorities because you wanna avoid propaganda; but by the same token, it's in Israel's interest to claim the number is zero even if it's not. So how can we get an objective measure of the actual count that doesn't come from either Palestine OR Israel but some uninterested third party? Scott said the real number is something like "half" what is reported, but this reminds me of a quip Bill often makes about how communism gets you to say things like, "ONLY 300,000 dead" or whatever the number is.

Just thought I'd type this out real quick like, sorry.
1.The Jewish people are indigenous to the land a Roman general renamed Palestine.
2.There never has been or ever will be a race of people called Palestinian.
3.Arabs identifying as Palestinian refugees have a higher birth rate than anywhere in the US with a population of 1.3 million today, from 60,000 80 years ago. These numbers do not represent a genocide in the area known as the Gaza strip.
4.Arabs identifying as a Palestinian refugee hold government positions in law enforcement to the military and from City Council all the way up to the Supreme Court in Israel. Given this amount of representation the term apartheid cannot be used.
