I love the Hoenn region... I really hope they'll make a remake of it someday. With additional features, maybe. This is my favorite soundtrack, by the way. :)
It would be nice if gens 1-4 would each get one more remake after Pokémon goes full on open world. I would love to see how they reimagine these regions in a true open world style, especially since Hoenn is one of my favorite regions.
Hoenn is the most diverse region, in terms of environment, and this reflects on it's music. With the sandstorms and mountains, you have Egyptian sounding music, and with fire and volcanoes, as well as the sea and underwater, the music changes as well.
I’m a sinnoh fag to the heart and never played Hoenn (ruby) until last year While sinnoh for me is unreachable in some terms, Hoenn holds up the first position in resulting as the most diverse region between its cities and environments, and every city actually had a very strong concept on which it was based on, like Bluruvia (I don’t how to say it in English) or Orocea or even Ceneride, they all are very very special and unique
Double battles, weather, abilities, new ghost types, surfing for feebas, contests, the best 3 starters, mt pyre, the best story story of all the pokemon RPGs, great sound and graphics and yet people STILL doubt Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire's greatness?

MaxArceus Nah, instead of the awesome tune from RSE they decided to make it sound synthesized, that goes for a lot of the ORAS soundtrack too. Replacing french horns/GBA sounds with a synthesizer was in no way a step up.
cat8752 opinions. Also, the sound that's in the new version synthesized (if not all, but the one that sounds very much like it), was also a synthesized sound in this version...
cat8752 Most of the instruments you hear in Generation 6 are actual instruments. Except for obvious ones like the synthesizer heard in the Route 111 Desert music in ORAS.
This was the most special place in all the games EVER to me. This is where I got my Vulpix, and Ninetales is my favorite Pokemon. I named it OH MY GOSH and eventually leveled Ninetales to level 100. I still have it and it's my strongest Pokemon EVER.
I actually liked the fact that Chimecho was so rare in Hoenn. It was rare and mysterious, only found at the peak. With the introduction of Chingling, it made Chimecho a lot less novel.

This song is honestly a enigma if you put it next to literally any pokemon theme ever its so much different and also a much more conplex song. I wonder how this came to be and slso why its used in a area your almost never at.
Mt. Pyre is very memorable for me since this was where I got my very first instance of Pokerus. After doing the story here, I went to the Pokemon Center in Lilycove and I was informed by Nurse Joy that my Pokemon had Pokerus. I didn’t know what it was and I was so scared that something bad happened. I even thought my Pokemon caught something because I didn’t equip the Cleanse Tag the old lady gave me 😂.
I'm pretty sure that the Pokemon Tower has a bit of effect on Red/Blue's story. You have to visit it and complete it's subquest to progress, and it really explains and shows just how evil the Rockets are. But yeah, Mt Pyre does have a major role compared to like the soul house or lost tower.
@SpectralPlatypus I guess it's how you listen to music, for example, I think the high pitched tone gives it an eerieness, then the 4 or 5 added layers and fast pace adds to the thought of being surrounded by ghosts. Creepy.

Boy oh Boy this aged amazingly
I agree. Hoenn remakes would be so dope. I hope they add more to the postgame and add the battle frontier from Emerald! 😁
@Green T Boi the ORAS remake music was good but didn’t give me the same nostalgia (obviously) so this is still top
