I actually have the black series one and it great, I even did some nice customization to her as well, love the videos and you just always got stay for the whole thing keep up the good work
I'll be honest. I own the Black Series versions of Bo, Koska and Mando. As you already stated, these are awesome figures and for the price you can't beat it. Even tho the MAFEX version of Bo has slightly better painted details, it isn't enough to justify the cost. I know you liked the face details better on the MAFEX, but I actually find the Black Series more spot-on to Katte Sackhoff. Either way, it is a a good product comparison review. If you’re thinking of picking up a Mafex figure I’d highly recommend the Mandalorian 2.0. It is a great figure with so many accessories that you get the best bang for your buck. 3 different head, like 10 pairs of hands, dagger, pistol, 2 rifles, darsaber handle and dark saber with blade, beskar spear, whistling birds, flame effects grappling hook, he’s just absolutely loaded. I stay for the photos at the end, yes love the reviews etc. but my imagination def is not the greatest so any ideas on posing or cool ideas that you come up with with your pictures. The Mafex is a nice figure, but, I saved myself even more money than buying the Black Series by getting the Vintage Collection one. It's nicer than the Black Series and has swappable heads like the Mafex. Ok, yeah, she's small, but, when I saw her, I just had to have her. VC are really great when they want to be.
I already have the black series one and love it buuuut the mafex one is definitely superior. I’ll probably just paint over the black series one instead of shelling out 90 more dollars though. And yes I stay for the photography since I do a little myself.
I still like Black series helmet being a real helmet. So, the chin issue is not an issue for me. And I think the proportion is more realistic. If you measure someone on a motorcycle helmet on, the proportion is going to be off. Mafex helmet is too small, realistically. And you are a brave man… put fireworks near $100. If the guns or the figures melt… urghhh…

The blue on the armor, the weathering and the head sculpt are way superior in the Mafex. But I habe to say that the Mafex helmet is looking absolutely weird to me. It is was to slim for me. I overall like the BS better again, the head sculpt isn't ba on the TBS figure and I don't care much, because Clones, troopers and Mandos are always going in the showcase with helmet on. I always stay to the end for the toy photo,.it is always my favorite part of the videos
I really wish hasbro would add hands and do swappable heads for helmets. It would make it far less of a decision for me. It's not that I'm not willing to buy more for figures, I am, but that's not my Star Wars budget. There's other series I want to spend the bigger bucks on.
I actually just got my first mafex in last week. I got the chapter 4 john wick from nin-nin-game (that you recommended). it's a pretty sweet figure if you like john wick. once I start my seasonal job I might pick up that new mafex mando.

As a Mando, you have helmet hair. Unavoidable if you wear that bucket. So the Black Series one is, in fact, more realistic.
