  • My first time in First Class!!! Filmed on board US Airways! Watch as we takeoff to the east and climb through the clouds! Great engine sound! Flight 1568 to Charlotte. 1/23/10.

    Damn, you're right, but the A320 I flew to Seattle on with US Air, was equipped with IAE V2500 engines. I was wrong, and thanx for correcting me. I'd have thought each airline would order their aircraft with the same engines on to cut down on the cost of retraining mechanics, I went to check out the take offs and landings, and most of the USAIR A320 have the IAE V2500, but I did notice some with the CFM56 engines, but mostly IAE's on the planes I spotted in Boston.

    These engine are IAE V2500, made by Rolls Royce

      Actually these engines are the CFM-56, made in a joint venture between safran aircraft engines and GE.
