Had one of these as a hire car for a few days back when this was new, and remember being very impressed by it. Comfortable, plenty of room, economical, and loads of kit. Felt very well made too, much nicer than an equivalent Focus or Astra. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Really underrated cars.
They look like all season tyres. No point in changing them, because country bumpkins like me just put them back on! Happy with a little more noise to have the reassurance of being able to get home on a snowy night.
What a top Gent you are, not only an honest car sales man but go back to see if a stranded person needs help, with no ulterior motive. Hats off to you sir.
My wife has had an i30 Diesel of every generation. The one she had like this was zero tax! The trim looks the same, the SE trim, which is the mid-range. Plenty of toys! It was a great car - the only serious problem we had with this one was that a rear brake calliper seized up, and needed replacing. It was a nice step up from the previous generation (this one 112hp, and the previous was 90hp). With this car we also achieved 55mpg, which is probably the best we've ever had from any car. Also, the 15 inch alloys look rather small today!
I have lost count of the Hyundai cars that my partner and I have owned - going all the way back to the much maligned Pony. Never had a moments issue with any one of them. One of our current fleet is an IX20 which I purchased damaged. I have had it for three years and it is as good as gold
I own a 1.4 petrol i30. I wouldn't worry about changing the tyres to cure road noise, they do seem to be fairly bad for road noise no matter what tyres are fitted. If you are on anything apart from a perfectly smooth road it can seem quite intrusive.
I bought a new i30crdi estate in December 2009 with the what was new 6 speed gearbox. 126k and 5 years 6 months later I traded it in. Silly me the most reliable car I'd ever owned!
I bought a 2011 CRDi 6-speed in 2017 for peanuts. Still going strong after 100,000+Km’s. Amazing economy - probably the best of any non-hybrid on the road. Even the dark paint is still A1!
Hi James, love the channel. Some interesting cars and you are a great presenter! Small suggestion would be a separate microphone when you are out on the road as sometimes struggle to hear you clearly! Keep up the good work though!
From your stock in this video, looking like you are getting back to your key success factor business model ...dealing in small cheap cars, .... prestige cars cost a lot to buy, and to fix if warranty claims, and can tie up capital for months waiting for a buyer...as for the Jag...whilst it might be nice to drive when it is not blowing hoses or lighting up check engine lights, that really should go trade- warranty risk to you almost unlimited...as they used to say in (1960's TV show) Lost in Space, "Danger Will Robinson".

@@rob1984p I don't think they got caught sadly. On a good note though the insurance paid my uncle more than what he would of gotten if he part exd it. He did have to sell it as it wasn't ULEZ compliant so it's kind of like god's work
