I learned mostly just by experimenting and trying different things and seeing what works😊 For the soap making chemistry aspect I recommend the book Scientific soap making by Kevin Dunn🙂
Thank you Sara for the compilation ❤ I've typed the time stamp based on the video 😊 for quick reference. Olive oil & laurel leaf soap 00:08 Lavender & coconut milk soap 13:11 Rice milk & honey soap 31:07 Rosemary gel soap 44:06 Goat milk & pumpkin soap 1:00:19 Coconut milk vanilla soap 1:11:53 Aloe vera soap 1:29:35
Wouldn't it be easier to put the dried leaves in a grinder or do you need them to be a certain size? I love this longer video! Thank you for the tutorials and the awesome information. You're the best! I'd love to see you make some luxury high-end soaps!
I think she likes using the mortar because that’s her preference but you can also use a grinder she just chose to use a mortar but with a grinder it gives you a more fine powder
Easier is not always better. Wanting an easier, more convenient way has harmed our society, greatly. Just saying. I love your videos! Bought your ebook as well! Thank you ❤
What an awesome compilation! I will have to wait for a calm day to enjoy it, but I want to thank you in advance! Please give Molly a big hug and kiss from her American admirer! ❤🦮😊😍🥰
I think that your olive oil and bay leaf soap may be the first one I try since my mom gave me some fresh bay laurel leaves! I ordered lye and a soap mould and cutter and should be getting them next week! Just need to go by the thrift store for a handful of dedicated soapmaing equipment (measuring cups, a bowl or two, and a dedicated stick blender, I don't mind shared use scale as nothing touches it anyways) and make sure I've got good goggles.. and maybe I can make some Xmas gifts! Maybe the coconut and lavender one too, my neighbour gave me some lovely lavender this summer and I dried it!
@@tellervo. I decided to start with the rosemary one, though I've got dried rosemary instead of fresh so the amount I'm using is going to be kind of random... I found a local place that sells ethically sourced shea and cocoa butters for about the same price I'd pay if I bought it at the horrid box store that has it! I have the tea steeping, and the olive oil is infusing in a water bath over my rice cooker, I figure it's the right temperature to incubate yogurt, it's probably about right for infusing some oil overnight! It maintains a constant 40c/104f
What is the purpose of using laurel leaves? Do they have any property for the skin? Are they actually bay leaves or laurel the kind of plant we grow as shrub? Thank you.
Hi! I love so much your videos, it's super interesting for me all the ways that you do your soaps! But, one wuestion, why in the minute 8:25 you cook the mix? I'm very curious... Thank you for sharing your passion! ❤❤
I like to make soap and I like to make videos. I enjoy sharing them here on RUclips. I have a few ebooks that go into more detail for those who want more information🙂

Are the Bay leaves West Indian Bay (Pimenta Racemosa) or the trype used in cooking? Curious because I have a lot of the Indian Bay to use up.
I used the type that's used in cooking😊
Which brand lye u recommend?
I don't recommend any specific brand, I get mine locally. I suggest purchasing from a soap supplier near you.

Im wondering will natural soap expire? I attempt to try but I afraid it’s a bit too much ?
I recommend trying to use them within a year, but most soaps will be fine much longer too🙂
