Beautiful. Thank you. There is something about Schubert's keyboard music that gives me goosebumps every time there is a change in key. This is a particularly wonderful performance.
Oohhh, this is great! I didn't know this piece of music - I was lucky to listen to it played by Andreas Staier first, I think. The "outburst" half-way through is wonderful! This video must be from the movie "Mon Voyage d'Hiver" , as far as I can see...
@Ennah08 : actually this is on the DVD of "Mon Voyage d'hiver", but not in the movie. You can watch another performance of this piece in the movie "La Pianiste" ("The Piano Teacher") by Michael Haneke, starring Isabelle Huppert and Benoît Magimel.
Mr. Clarke's piano is too sweet, mooshy, mothily mute, and far away to express the threatening & writhing passions of this penetrating & intimate rhetorick - in spite of a performance which is to the opposite of the instrument.

Such immaculate touch on the period piano. I have never enjoyed Schubert this much before until hearing him play. Bravo
Erg mooi gespeeld.

Fremd bin ich eingezogen, fremd...
Stunning performance! The camera work makes no sense though
@spcfsu1 Above all, it had a very important role in Robert Bresson's "Au hasard Baltazar" (work of art).

@Ennah08 I found out about this music in "J'ai toujours rêvé d'être un gangster" if that helps.
Five years, since I saw this for the first time, (I can tell from my first comments) and I still love it!
Beautiful but in some places rather mincing.

very nice rendition, beautiful sympathy as desired, thank you for posting, you are extremely talented, amazing ..
Masterly interpretation and execution - Staier is deservedly famous as a fortepianist.
Such wonderful music and performance, yet so few views...: (
Een uitstekend musicus.
@mainmenu895 Thankyou, it looks like a lovely movie !
@spcfsu1 Thankyou very much for the information!!
Such harpsichord hands.
