Wir standen gestern vor dem Wasserfall und lesen nun heute abend Goethe und hören Schubert. Heute nachmittag haben wir einen 96- jährigen Freund beerdigt..Schicksal des Menschen, wie gleichst du dem Wind! Natur, Sprache, Musik und Trauer in großer Harmonie.
Eine ganz großartige Interpretation einer der besten Kompositionen von Franz Schubert.
Mir gefällt vor allem das Zeitmaß und die Dynamik. Nicht zu langsam und nicht zu hektisch.
Dem Zuhörer bleibt die Zeit seine Emotionen zu entwickeln und auszukosten.
Die Musiker und Sänger sind natürlich sehr professionell und bringen auch ihre Emotionen ein.
Die Dirigentin sehr unaufgeregt, sparsam aber genau in Ihrer Gestik. Super!!!

A wonderful vocal performance that gives me goose bumps. This brings back memories of when I was allowed to sing this composition by Franz Schubert as a chorister in the Wilhelmshaven men's choral society "Heim". Even then, this song and text made a great impression on me. This performance by the Norske Solistkor og Oslo Camerata is first class, the "Heim" singers were not as vocally trained as these singers.

Eine wunderbare Interpretation, wunderbar auch vor allem wegen der minimalistischen Besetzung. Schöne Stimmen - und eine gute verständliche deutsche Aussprache, würdig dieses einzigartigen Stückes. Zu den unsterblichen Worten von Goethe.

The poem is by Goethe and was inspired by his visit to the Staubbachfall (waterfall) in the Lauterbrunnenthal

Absolutely marvelous performance of Schubert's lovely concertato madrigal. After Monteverdi's 8th book in 1636, it was nearly 200 years before the greatest lyric composer of the 19th century reinvented the form from scratch ... and this is one of the most outstanding. Excellent performance and production. Congratulations.

Eine Aufführung für die Ewigkeit. Zutiefst berührend.
Hier traf ein zutiefst und höchst gebildeter, äußerst fleißiger Herr Rath, der sich sogar eine Italienreise finanzieren konnte (auf der er sich sogar, klassisch-anmutig hingestreckt, malen ließ, auf ein echtes Genie, das in seinem Leben meistens ein armer Hund gewesen ist. Mein Vater ließ in der Musik hauptsächlich Beethoven gelten. Schuberts Meisterwerk spielte er auf altem Plattenspieler oder einfacher Stereoanlage viele Abende hindurch - wahrscheinlich meistens mit Tränen in den Augen. Ich kann den Ruhm von Großmeister Goethe kein bißchen bepinkeln, aber wenn ich so die "Szene in Auerbachs Keller" oder die muffige Gretchen-Episode mit "Winterreise" vergleiche, dann weiß ich, welches innere Ergebnis bei mir herauskommt und welches Werk in eine neue Zeit weist.. Kann mir auch vorstellen, wie sehr von oben herab Goethe Schuberts Noten betrachtet haben mag. "Aha, ein Hilfslehrer aus Wien ..."

Pourquoi?
