Also we would have won the KC game if a receiver hadn't fumbled near the goal line so stop hating. How many games did the team win before drafting Baker.
@@shaw3693 Than explain how he had the second best rookie season ever in NFL history behind a mediocre O-line, no Kareem Hunt limited Nick Chubb, Todd Haley, Freddie Kitchens, and Gregg Williams calling plays & coaching while simultaneously throwing to a very mediocre receiving core... All while playing for the most dysfunctional franchise in the NFL, that should put to rest the whole “Baker Mayfield needs everything perfect and is a system QB” narrative that the media love to play with..
Baker 10 Touchdowns to 1 Interception to end the season, for the first time in his NFL career he will return to the same system and get his top WR back, he is going to have such an Incredible Season not even Collin Cowherd will be able to say anything negative about him

Seems like it, I was hoping it would be a new interview, not one from before the draft. I was hoping to hear his thoughts after being in the league for 3 years especially for his "flaws" because some were true while others were false

@EditsByYanna it doesn't matter what you think regular season stats are separate and thats in most major sports Baker is a game manager Lamar threw the same amount of tds as baker and he plays in a design quarterback run system

I’d say he plays more like a mixture of Steve Young and Brett Farve.....I think his biggest liability is letting his ego be such a factor for his happiness that he allows other people’s opinions to affect his play, ironically it also happens to be one of his greatest motivators....he’s in a position for greatness for a reason...

Feels kinda wholesome hearing him talk about Johnny like that, i mean of course there are many examples of people not letting the fame get to them but I actually don't think it's as easy as people might think, dude got swallowed and spit out by that world and his incredibly fast rise to poularity, I sincerely hope he's well and I'd want to think he's already shaking his head to some questionable things he did at that height

Il tell you one thing .....if you don't get rid of odell ... your gonna see baker regress and then everyone will be calling for bakers job.... saying that baker sucks and so on and so on...amidst deliberately ignoring evidence/videotape that's right in front of their faces....it's NUTS!!!....it's not a coincidence that as soon as he went out with injury ...baker balled out the rest of the Cinci game.....20 straight completions..throws a GW td pass with 11 secs left for the win.....led us into the playoffs...and then to a playoff victory IN PITTSBURG where the browns had previously NEVER won before.. almost...and without the starting coach...in a season riddled with the newly created covid-19...no off-season...brand new head coach...and ended the season with a terribly missed helmet to helmet call with rashard higgins resulting in dropping a TD pass that likely puts them over the top in KC... Superbowl KC....and you wanna throw all that away?....you wanna take a chance that the chemistry will all of sudden WORK with odell when he's coming back from INJURY!!!!???.baker will REALLY be zeroed in on him now because odell will still be trying to prove he's odell of old....I'm telling you....doing the same thing over and over.... expecting a different result...is insanity....get back to me next year and tell me how this comment aged....becareful of odell....and be careful what you wish for....my only gripe with the fans and analysts for Cleveland is they choose to ignore the evidence...the videotape.....it doesn't lie....just saying

I'll let that comment slide given what the Browns have done in free agency this past week. Now I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns traded down in exchange for multiple picks.

All I need to know is that Stefanski, Berry, and Van Pelt were pleased with Mayfield's improvement in 2021...that Cleveland got it's first play-off win since 1994...that Mayfield leads all Browns QBs in completion % (except Charlie Frye, lol)...and that he is a leader in the locker room. If you don't think he's on an upward trajectory...smh.
