- So this is finally the last video of the Crop Production Show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada... Lee and I are wore out and tired 😆
I do like this Versatile tractor that we looked at and would like to try one some day..
But other than that, I would like to thank everyone for tolerating our sarcastic bantering and have a great day! 🙂
For extra entertainment, polls, pictures, flash backs, Ashtyn & Chapel, and more interactive content or just to contact Mike 🙂

From what I’ve learned all Mike needs is quality cupholders in the right spot and that makes or breaks the tractor
+ good speakers and a real fridge. 😂
And good sun shelalds 😂
And adjustable blinds that will stop anywhere and not make much noise when closing.
@@conortobin8474 Which it seems most do not have good sun shades, to be good the shade should be solid, no holes.
Don't forget about his real refrigerator also. Lol.
I’d like to see you demo the Versatile. Hopefully they’ll come through
surprised the major brands are not lining up with demo units for Mike to run. Even pre-production units needing field testing. Needs probably a week's worth of hours to make it worth the hassle. Seeding season rapidly approaching.
I have and do continue to work with some manufacturers actually, some on RUclips and some not for the obvious reasons. I also believe there is some hesitation as not everyone is as welcoming of critiquing. 🙂
I would like to see that too. They do lack in the cab comforts but in the end its a tool so for the price difference its probably unreasonable to expect more. It would be neat to see someone really testing it against the big brands and see how it stacks up. One just might end up annoyed at how expensive the others are if the perfermance is close
@@mikemitchell2554 like John Deere suddenly and mysteriously backing out of bringing their X9 -1100 combine to you for testing - hmmm - what have they got to hide.
One would think that a thorough critique, such as you do, would be welcomed by manufacturers, so that they can improve their product over their competitors, but I guess they don't see it that way. Anyway, a Million Dolllars is an obscene amount of money for a machine that gets used 2 to 3 weeks of the year, and spends the rest of the year sitting in a barn depreciating in value. Not so sure that would stack up financially. Leasing probably a better deal.
You forgot to point out the best part of the versatile tractor. That Made in Canada sticker on the rear window.
The versatile seems like a well built tractor, you don't really see that many around. Mike you should definitely see if you can get a demo.
Being Canadian made, should be a no brainer....
He wondered what the sound system sounds like one of those blue tooth speakers outta a bud light beer box.
@@Oddball_KellysHeroes Canadian made but owned by the Russian company Rostselmash. No need to give money to the oligarchs.
@@clearskiesranch1362 🙄 giving money to big corp like John Deere is so much better.
tons around prairie canada
With Versatile it's all about the price, way cheaper than any others and they still do the job pretty well. Probably not quite as fancy of a cab though.
Yup, so true. That’s why we have them
So great to have a whole video of my childhood friend 😊 miss you Lee!
Well Austin, give him that demo. 😁
Inverter is a game changer 🙌 Tassimo time. Great content Mike. Always enjoy being along for the ride
Tassimo Happy 2 needs 1500 Watts of power. Sorry Mike!
That versatile looks like a tank, and that room!
It's really nice to watch your video off the CPS. You two must have had a lot of fun 😅
Great video. I drove a Versatile tractor 1973-1976. And it was at least 10 years old I think.
Oh. And NO enclosed cab. In northwest Florida. After my first year I got waterproof radio that would only pick up 1 station, and it was a gospel station.
Also, the only controls I had was the huge gear shift lever, 1 hydrologic lever to raise/lower disc, and the steering wheel. NO buttons to push and absolutely no joystick or monitors.
Lee needs a chaser bin for all those freebies 😆 great videos Mike 👍
Love the X15 with the Caterpillar transmission. Would like to see how this puts power to the ground pulling a cart like you guys run.
Well, we're running a versatile 620 with tracks for almost 5000 hours now. Mainly in front of an 75feet airseeder, an reefinator and some tillage. it pulls like a champ. But it's far from beeing smooth 🤣 it already snaped the exhaust more times them I could count, cracked the fueltank and broke the cabmount in 2 spots.
But the cab and the soundsystem is bloody awsome 👌🤣
Any solutions from Versatile?
@@OOpSjm not really. The local dealer upgraded the cab suspension to airbags but mounted the compressor underneath the drain pipe of the AC so that didn't last to long either.🤣
It's certainly better wirh airbags and relatively smooth in the field but driving it down a dirt road is still torture.
In the last 500 hours we also had to replace all the buttons and joystick on the armrest. But due to the supply chain issues it took 4 mount for the new joystick to arrive, so we had the tractor parked in the middle of a field and couldn't move it anymore 🙄
@@lukasfesser6453 Pretty much same across all the brands at the moment it seems.
@@OOpSjm that is very true.
I don't want to make the tractor sound to bad. He really does pull good and is comfortable to drive. It dosnt got any of the fancy things like a JD or cade would have, so it's pretty easy to operate.
Just not sure if we would go for tracks again
Just curious. Does it seem rough or just because it's a track machine? I've ran some Challengers and RTs and they seemed just as rough/rougher. Never been in a Quadtrack or Deere "Quadtrack"
I thought the Versatile was slightly smoother than the 2 track. Maybe the pivoting boggies.
One I ran was the same way though. Hardpan in high gear would rattle your teeth. Plenty of crap fell in the cab. The monitor didn't last very long either. 😂
those versatiles look pretty nice
In this episode, Mike kick's the bucket. Too soon, he was so young.
Mike and Lee give of chaotic teenager vibes messing around at a high school career fair! You love to see it :)
That tractor on a 100ft drill would be cool
bought a 570 dt last year love it
I was gonna say we already know you are on the south side of that map because of the video where you crossed the international border! So my guess is the south side of the map is that border. I’m glad y’all got out to see and do some new stuff!
The Versatile tractors are built in Winnipeg Manitoba, I worked there for two years and it was a great job.
Definitely would be cool to see you demo a versatile, yes the cab functions aren’t as fancy but still pretty decent, I did this fall get to run a 520 on big duals, and it was pretty good! Biggest thing is the door for the cab, better learn to duck lol cup holders are decent, stereo was actually pretty good, learning curve going from throttle/ shifter combo to a separate controls wasn’t to bad, would do a transmission reprogram to when you start or use clutch it goes to 3 or 1 instead or 4-6, but tons of grunt from the Cummins! I’d definitely delete and get rid of the bulky muffler! Another feature that is actually nice is your separate switch to turn hydro pump on or off so save on auxiliary pump then it just uses main pump! And man those cabs are huge!! And you could fit 2-3 big people in that cab and still have room!
Versatile tractors are few in my area here in Western NewYork. But once bought they never sell them. Impressive machines
Magnifique matériel agricole et les tracteur à chenille et les matériel agricole sont bien intéressante
worked in the winnepep factory in the 80's. massive tractors for a kid from bc
I’m a OTR driver. You need a Pure sine wave 2000 watt+ inverter to run a Tassimo. It’s because of the computer in it. You can run a Keurig with a modified sine wave. The heating elements in both require at least 2000 watt continuous power rating.
I don’t wanna wreck the threads😂you should’ve given him the good ol advice we all live by, some threads better than no threads🤣🤣🤣
Mike, you're messing that guy's bucket up. He had it all neat and you jumbled it up for him. Now it's a mess.🤣
Those are nice tractors , Mike . Demo one .
as someone ho worked at a versatile dealer as a tech, they seemed pretty reliable other than the hydraulic couplers were forever blowing out, and they would occasionally eat hydraulic pumps. i couldn't complain too much about them, they seemed pretty alright, they were simple and easy to work on. thankfully the couplers took less than 5 mins to change. could swap them for something different.
They updated them for better fittings recently as well
@@jay-um1pu good to know, haven't looked at one in a little while being as that dealer has sol out.
Hey mike something id enjoy seeing would be a new equipment tour during the winter. or like where does everything park in the winter do you have big sheds full of them or just outside in the snow.
You need to demo the versatile at the old farm. Compare it to the other big boys this spring
Mike yall should demo one of those tractors. You be surprised by the power
The Versatile is amazing
When I first looked at the Versatile tractors I thought they put a lot of steel in them too.
I’d like to see you demo a Versatile Delta trac & a wheeled version. Cheers
Cable pass through in back of cab. Really easy
Lot of these in western australia this summer.
There is one big old versatile with tires in Quebec Canada near ST-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU, it’s long time he didn’t moved from his parking spot but apparently he’s in working order according to a friend.
Lots of farmlands in the area was subdivided and sold , or the old farmer just didn’t have succession for the farm so when they get old they sell theirs cows and they keeps doing some hays for couple years for some money then they park the machinery.
Stabbing in the dark here.. the stationary "footpedel" is for when you want to turn around without swiveling your seat? A pivot point if you will. I dont own any tractors; I just find them amazing.
Mike is so rad you guys
A “Safety First” post it note would have been funny on that knight!
That vanguard is EFI a yours is a carb job major difference in engines !
The landing by the door area is huge compared to other makes.
I think Mike needs to try out a versatile
The sound system in the versatile is up to Mike’s standards too.
Last harvest down here in Australia they had one 620dt Versatile pulling out bogged trucks and the guy driveing it said they are very smooth and can really pull but they also had a another one on 3mtr wheel tracks but it was a 580 on wheels they said it was a little bit ruffer and pulling wasn’t it’s strong suit.
Would love to see a versatile on the channel
I ran a versatile and though i didnt like the tractor overall, i did like its absolutely gargantuan cab
Mike you need to demo one of them versatile's !!
Mike you better have a word with Big Bud about cup holders and inverters.
Mike's dialogue ,let's get out I should probably buy this thing
mike you need to demo that Versatile tractor this spring. or fall.
The Versatile has that authentic look like the old 875's. In 30 years I would like to update to a 2023 model and replace my 835 I have now haha!
Like the body armor but don't go out in the rain and snow you will rust.🤣
think mike needs one of the new big buds
Mike Less should put a word to get you one for a demo.....they always look great and solid this versatiles
I think he changed companies last year didn't he?
@@OOpSjm i think he did few months ago to deutz or something but i am sure he still have the right contact with versatile
@@FoodwaysDistribution Austin(has a RUclips channel) from Versatile was already there (guy in the video) to handle all that if needed.
@@OOpSjm Austin is the Full line Ag dealer owners son. He doesn’t work for versatile
@@OOpSjm Mike knows the top brass at versatile probably all the way to Putin :)
I own a 610 with 900 duals. Its a great tractor. Versatile does an excellent job of putting all that power down to the ground and it pulls like crazy. However the cab is not as refined as a Deere. It's a bit louder inside and the surfaces feel a bit cheaper. And getting into the cab you have to climb up onto the first step and then open the door. The design of the door limits you from opening it from step 2 or higher. Not sure where the Versatiles are priced at today but 2 or 3 years back the difference in price between it and a comparable Deere was incredible. The decision to buy one was very easy! Anyway, it would be worth your time to demo one
hahha free merchandise hunter
Kids shopping day out.
Mike not wanting to tell us where his farm is, but shows in videos how he is farming directly on the US Canada border 😅😁
It’s super easy to find on Google maps take couple mins. Lol
@@crandonborth yeah just look the mansion and bins!
Versatiles have biggest cab in industry for tractors i think. we have 5 versatiles and they run john deere guidance. Best set ups ever
I can feel an upcoming loss of the Mike & Lee "Back & Forth Banner" as this farm show comes to an end 😫😢😭😥😩
Steel fuel tank Mike, you like steel fuel tanks 🇬🇧👍🏼
I've ran 9rxs, case quads and delta tracs delta tracs are the cats meow of the 4 tracks
Mike when are we going to see curling? When's the next bonspiel? Greatest sport on ice! Come on, curling rocks!!
Mike Mitchell viewers deserve to see Mike review the new 2023 Big Bud at CONEXPO March 14-18 in Las Vegas!
Lee is the 🐐
665hp 😲👏👍👀👊
The problem with the Versatile cab is when you open the door it knocks you off the steps.
@Richard Hildebrand Yup there is a decal right on the door that says that. I was going to add another decal for a customer and he said no, let the employees get knocked in the head if they can't read😂
The best tractor on earth
You need to demo a versatile 👍
Interesting
Has he checked whether or not the Versatile has a laminated windshield? If not, what a rookie mistake!
👍👍👌👌
The Versatile has a huge cab BUT is rather simple, plain and looks cheap on the inside. Looks good on the outside tho.
This tractor can tow city🤣🤣
You can get dog bones from Yankum that are light and stronger than those shackles and made of synthetic rope lightweight and stronger than those heavy metal shackles. God Bless the Farmers! Everyone wants their
MONEY!!🙄❤️🖖🏼
Side window opens for your cables.
I smell a demo, PLEASSEEEEE!
I was hoping you would go through a 9250 case ih combine to compare.
It wasn't at the show unfortunately
That's a bummer
I'm not impressed with Lee's D shackle - the threads are tiny for a 55T loading. Wow!! Well done Lee for lifting it one handed!!
X15 is in all your 9rx too
You should bring your tasamo to the dealer ship and do a walk around with a sales man then when he asks what you think tell him hold on a second then grab it plug it in and then if it work tell him you'll take it and if not be like sorry I'll pass
🇨🇦
Looks like the small Tassimo uses 1300W, so you are out of luck. It takes a lot of energy to heat up water.
From my experience, the cab is so much louder then the other tractors. We had to put in a resonator to try to quiet it down. Gave me a headache
Would be cool if Mike Less could make an appearance in some future video & show up in the field with his drone & a Versatile Delta Track
He is not with Versatile anymore, he works for Deutz-Fahr now
we were just in waterloo watching our 4 tractors getting made, all front windows are double laminated now, plus they have a new 800 horse 9R coming in the near future
Too bad you didn't go to the Fargo ND factory.
Was that Ewen Bremner from the movie "Trainspotting?"
That machine you had no idea what it was is a colour sorter. Will seperate impurities out of seed based on colour and shape. Pretty cool machine really.
When does the Versatile loaner arrive?
buy one and replace the 2 track
Kids are playing in a cabin of a big tractor
Not got JCB Fastrak....?
Hey Mike I think you need a versitile honostly
Did you find a spot to run your monitor cables through the cab there?
They have big plugs on bottom of cab. Better than running them through window anyway.
Is that the Versatile condo edition?
Great to see Austin from Full Line Austin on RUclips show up!
What power is that Versatile putting out?
I think Lee said 662?
