I put the date on my products when they’re delivered, and I also put the date that I opened them. That way if it takes a long time for me to get around to using a product, I know how long I’ve had it. And when I open them, I know how long it’s been since I opened it.
That's smart. Someone else said they did that too, I just never remember to do it. Thanks for bringing it back to my attention, though.

As far as the aloe Vera feel prepoos, I only use Pattern Nectar, and Nature’s Little Secret Fenugreek Prepoo. I’m cautious about ingredients in everything, but I used to use them when I first went natural.

I’m with you on the bond repairing treatments. We tend to jump on different bandwagons when it’s not necessary for our hair.

Hi Rae, glad you are feeling better; AJ is a wonderful young man… he stepped right in and took care of things and allowed you to rest (that in itself speaks volumes)❤ so I know he’s doing well being away and in college (learned this with my daughter). With that, my question for AJ is how do you balance your classes , work, practice, and personal time for yourself? Do you find it difficult saying no to your peers and if so, how do you handle it?
Now, auntie talk lol you are very handsome and I know that the chaser’s (my choice of words) are probably after you…keep your integrity and character because it will take you further than you realize, and before you do anything ask yourself how will this affect me(parents) in the next 5minutes, a week or month you get the picture 😊
MsRae, are you finding it difficult allowing AJ to come to you guys IF he has any questions or concerns, or do you attempt to fix things prior because as a mother you know? I ask this because we parent in stages; I will say to you as stated above, it’s in him and you will need to trust what has been instilled in him ❤

Hi RaeRae...I tried both of these detanglers in the past. I did not notice any major difference. The Dr. Miracles detangler is similar to these two brands too. That's a great idea to use up the products. One thing I am going to start doing is putting the dates on my products too. I am a recovering product junkie therefore, I have a lot of old products I never got to try, now I think they are too old to apply to my hair. If I have products over 1 year old...I am tossing them out. RaeRae I have similar thoughts on the Bond Repairs...we haven't used all these bond repairs in the past??? 😄 Great video and talk.
I agree that there is no major difference. I know Dr. Miracles has one, too, but I can't remember if I tried that on or not. I'm sure it is very similar. Someone else mentioned to me that they put the dates on their products and I should do the same, but I keep forgetting. I need to do that so I can keep track of how long I've had a product sitting in my shelf, as well. Yep, bond repairs are a trend and will be gone before you know it. Then it will be something else. We have to be careful putting all this stuff in our hair, especially when we don't need it. Thanks for tuning in and engaging with me.

I tried the African Pride prepoo awhile ago and did not like it. It didn’t take to my hair well. Felt no slip and my hair felt dry. I recently tried the Just for Me prepoo and I really like it!!! I like the smell and it has soo much slip. My hair feels soft and even has shine, which has helped my wash days a lot

Hi Rae first things first I am sorry to hear you were under the weather but glad you are doing better and second I saw sherryberry dc short talk video yesterday about meeting you and I commented on her video that was great that you’ll got to meet and last but not least I loved this chat video and concur on the fenty products. I have never used either of the pre-poos. I love your new video ideas to use up what you open until it’s gone. Question for AJ what does he miss the most about not living with his parents and possibly one thing he regrets not paying more attention to that you’ll were trying to instill in him to prepare for adulthood that he now realizes. Example if you tried to show him how to balance his bank account and now he just spends and has overdraft fees 😂. I know that is not him but just giving an example.

The prepoos are good and the brush even better, so it does make detangling pretty easy. Because I just found this comment in my "held for review" comments, which I don't understand why, it didn't make it into the Q&A with AJ. Your's is not the only one either. I use the African Pride Pre-shampoo all the time. I’ve never used the one from Just For Me but I have been hearing that they are similar and both get the job done. I’m sorry that you came down with a cold after your vacation. That’s a real bummer but I see that you are on the mend which is good. Here’s a question for AJ, how do you feel about continuing to play football after being injured and having gone through surgery? Here’s also wishing you a speedy and full recovery.

Enjoyed the video! My youngest daughter will be a freshman in college in August. She's a straight natural and I have always done her hair. She only trusts me and won't let anybody else touch it. I get it and honestly I don't really trust anybody else in her head either. So we have been working on making sure she can manage and take care of her own hair. Of all the things I could be stressing out about, the health and maintenance of my daughter's hair is the most stressful. She will be 7 hours away from home😢😢. Anyway, my question for you is what was the thing that stressed you out the most about AJ first going to college? My question for AJ is besides obviously football, what other social clubs and/or activities did you get involved in as a freshman and why?

That way neither one of you will have to stress over her hair because she'll be able to do it no problem. 7 hours is quite a ways away, but it is not too far that you can't hop on the road at any time if you need to. I want to try the just for me because I have used African Pride a few times. I didn’t pre poo my hair the last time I washed my hair and I had a bad wash 😢 day so I most definitely will pre poo next wash day.

How do you feel about entering your junior year of college? Do you have plans for when you graduate?
I'm going to pass on Fenty Hair for the same reasons you mentioned. My hair is healthy with no major issues. I asked my stylist about bond building products, and she said I don't need it since my hair is healthy and not chemically treated. It's important to know what your hair needs (or doesn't in this case.)
