    Hey buddy. I'm from the UK and have the m140i that I don't think the USA have.
    I'm currently running bm3 stage 2 plus and it's an absolute beast of an engine knowing I can go more. But the chassis soon shows its weakness with the added power without handling modifications.
    Been watching your videos for a while now and learned a "hell" of alot from you! From your journey of your build to how the b58 responds to upgrades and its limits. Its an absolute joy watching your videos and your voice is so soothing, it's like a bed time story 🤣.
    Amazing build mate! Lovely car you have.
    Keep up the amazing vids! Subscribed, keep safe and I wish you all the luck in the world for the future.

    Recently heard that buzzing sound from my f22 b58 valvetronic I believe but it sounded louder like when there's a failure. I'm hoping it was just a software glitch and not a bad shaft like the n55s would get. You heard of the eccentric shaft or motor going bad on these? I hear software update is sometimes a remedy. I will need to see if any codes.

    Unrelated question to this video but I’m looking at getting a Big Boost EFR turbo kit and was wondering if you recommend the 8474 or 9174 for a daily driver that I want to push up to 800 whp max with? Also how long did it take you to install your Doc Race kit and was it difficult?

    Hi, really informative video helps a lot.
    Just had 1 question, im getting the code 21A02D; Combustion Control - Valve lift at idle. on my 2017 Bmw M140i B58.
    Ive performed the valve lift adaption twice, the code has gone away and has then come back on both occassions.
    Ive changed everything from PCV, injectors, oxygen sensors, vanos actuators and more.
    I have no idea what it can be, the RPM drops when i engage from P to R or to D and sometimes it lags in acceleration from take off.
    Any help would be great, thank you

    Is the throttle body always wide open when the valvetronic system is functioning normally?

    • @kern417
      @kern417  7 месяцев назад

      It varies because it's also used for boost control, so it opens/closes as needed to keep total airflow in check

    Do I need to change the Valvetronic motor? I notice that the car reduces the power at 3000rpm. When i delete the code its runnig fine again for about 2-3 months and then it comes again. No check engine light.

      He didn’t say it wasn’t advanced or useful, he said it was not necessary. I agree that plenty of valid arguments can be made in favor of this system, but it isn’t absolutely necessary to introduce this level of complication when very similar results can be had with a lot less moving wear items
