THIS is what they should’ve had as a multiplayer experience on Doom Eternal, or at least one of them! Crushing demons together with your friends would be an unparalleled experience.

@@draklust1017 bruh just because something wouldnt fit lorewise doesnt mean it shouldnt be implimented. sometimes its simply about having fun, and what better way than to play with friends . Remember if it existed it wouldnt be forced.

True. But some how I can't find a mod to skip the battery animation in the Doom Fortress.
I think what would be great if the vanilla game had coop is coop glory kills for bosses, imagine if the cutscene had 2 slayers stabbing the icon of sin with crucibles
This fits in so naturally. DE needed proper co-op support along with other traditional MP components like death match and Snap Map for custom levels and campaigns. Doom Eternal is a game missing out on so many opportunities.
Co-op would probably break the game’s balance, unless they add some extra enemies.
Makes me wonder how doom eternal would have turned out if covid wasn’t in the way.
And texas blackout
would also be cool to have some sort of "infinite" mode. Like Mordhau horde or warframe survival mission.
Hopefully, DooM The Dark Ages will have this.

@@2025fahaddenseje I dont think it really matters if it breaks game balance, wouldve been fun either way, couldve just made it such that co-op is unlocked only after your first playthrough so that everyone gets the "true" experience or just added native mod support so that mods like these are easier to install and play
This is super well done, but I just have to say, the post boss cutscene was hilarious with one super serious slayer and one slayer running about like "YEAH! WOOHOO! TAKE THAT ICON OF SIN, WE DID IT!"

Modders deserve just as much credit as the people who work on the games themselves and I'll stand by that statement. While I don't play Doom that much this is a jumpstart into the possibilities of what mods can be done for this game and I'm all for it! Keep up the good work!

Actually a really cool idea. They should’ve considered exploring the co-op route more. Hopefully we’ll see that in the next doom game!

That's been done before. Have you seen Delta's The Holt in his TAG1 master campaign? It's quite janky which is why no one else wants to port the Icon of Sin to other levels.

imagine this is what the sequel to doom eternal looked like. Something like where the doomguy's reach of demonic hierarchy is so high that he has to scale the multiverse to kill the next level of demon rulers so there is a way to explain the 4 player co-op of slayers

Whoever made the mod should add a cutscene for the mod where Player 2 hands the Crucible to Player 1 and then the normal glory kill plays and the 2 look over the edge and as Noviks giving his speech, the 2 should like fist bump

Imagine adding the "you can't damage your friend" setting and playing in Super Gore Nest Master Level on Ultra-Nightmare... That would be awesome, imagine both players shooting at four Tyrants in the final arena with the music pumping both up...
Also imagine being one player in front of a marauder and the other on the back, both firing micro-missiles at the same time, the marauder can't block!
Both should be possible by the next update.

Development has shifted towards Deathmatch, Co-op, and Invasion. Many of the custom enemies you may have seen are present in Konvaz's Slayerpalast or my Co-op mods.

No, they generally focus on the closest Slayer if they aren't actively attacking another.

I was sleeping and dreaming of playing split-screen doom eternal with my friend. Then, when I woke up I checked my phone. I then saw this video. Idk if I was talking in my sleep or not but my phone is spying on me in one way or another...
Making battlemode the only online mode in the game was a dumb idea because it gets boring fast, it needs more modes like this
