Hello my friend.. This year has had me guessing every storm.. The last storm we got I didn’t dare to go off any pavement or I would be blowing mor dirt then snow… Prior to the storm it had been warm and it rained and you know the rest of the story.. hahahaha I usually do way more snow blowing off pavement then I do on just for accessibility to different parts of my land and for water run off… Oh well.. That was really nice of Guy to come over and play with you.. Hahahaha I have never had my blower freeze up .. YET… Now that I have said that out loud it is going to happen.. As far as the trundle pedal yup.. My will stick and when I try to start it. It will not.. I messed with the seat safety switch for a long time be for I touched the pedal by chance and it started… Lesson learned.. I went under and lubricant the mechanism and have not had any more issues yet.. hahahaha Thanks for sharing this adventure with us.. And Guy is a great friend and neighbor… oh and Husky Bob as well . Hahahahaha Cheers…
Morning Gus! Yes I do indeed. I think the grease gets gluey in the cold but am going to try some white lithium grease on the linkages ( Kevin suggested it above) and see how that works out. I had the same problem on the old B2601 open station too. Have a god week and say hi to Sally!
Good morning Gordon. The only snow left here is what I piled up. Been raining here the last few days. You and guy looked like the plow trucks on the hwy or freeways . It made me smile seeing you working together like that. I have an open cab tractor and have never had a problem with my peddle. Try spraying it with white lithium grease. Also put a little on a rag and wipe your door seals. When I drove school bus the emergency doors would freeze up overnight. The mechanic would wipe the seals with the white grease. Problem solved. Have a wonderful week. Tell Guy and Husky Bob hi
Hey Gord, thanks for the tips, one of the tips that you gave on a previous video was the counter weight on the back to make the tractor more stable is one that I use all the time now and it sure made a difference. So thanks for keeping me on the upside.
Hi Gord, just wanted to say thank you for my GP jacket! It fits perfectly 👍 I’ve been looking to replace my old “kinmount dinner jacket” lol yes that what they call this type of jacket around here lol 😆 the big bill brand is the best!! I use them for work pants. Cheers Gord thanks again
Good morning - I am happy you like it. I appreciate the support. I like the feel and fit of it too. Now you are ready to go out for dinner anytime. LOL! Cheers and all the best!
Drill a small hole in the bottom of the fan drum to let the water drain out when the snow melts. Also clean snow around the gearbox cause it will freeze and lock up the drive shaft.
It's nice to have friends to help you plus helping them too. how's Guy like the new chains he bought, better traction for thous old tires. have a great day and stay warm. great video.
Hi GP! I’ve had some issues with the blower freezing also when I shut down, even just shut down for a short break after use. I found the blower would get warm up while in use, and when it’s shut down the ice will melt causing a small water puddle on the bottom of the blower drum and refreeze. If after you clean the snow off of your blower, tilt the blower forward a bit so any water will run out of the drum. Or you could drill a small hole in the bottom of the drum to allow it to drain. I haven’t tried to drill the hole yet, but tilting it seems to work just fine. Keep safe and warm down your way. Take Care, Kevin (KP) in Alaska! 👍🏻
Good morning and thanks for the great suggestions Kevin. I will try tilting it more and see how that works out. It is the first time I have experienced it - thanks - keep warm and all the best!
How the heck did Guy get that big dent on top of the hood of his tractor? AND.....how old is his Kubota? You should do a sit down coffee time to hear from Guy and the good old days. I'm sure he has some good stories.
Good tips, GP. That's a great reason to start your PTO at the lowest speed possible. If that was revved up it could have done some damage or at least broken a shear pin. Have a great rest of the week.
Hi Gord.......Also I have had the peddle slightly frozen down just enough to cause the button switch on the underside to be stuck/frozen and it would not even engage to turn over. Have to crawl under and free up that switch and away you go. I actually had to have a service guy come out to find that one.
As the saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work. I like the pedal design better on our Grand L. I was surprised Kubota didn't use the Grand L pedal design on the LX line up since it is also a deluxe tractor in the Kubota world.
Just diggig out from a 3 day storm here on the East Coast. More snow in one storm than we have seen in a long time. Could have used you and guy for the snow clearing for sure. 80cm of snow in my area.
Cheers to you Gord. Great to have great Neighbors like that to help you out. We have Neighbors next door to us we help out. He has Stage 3 Dementia and is greatly Disabled. So when it Snows I do his Driveway for him. I always do what you do to your Tractor to my Ariens Snowthrower. Great Video as always. Stay Friendly, Helping Others, my Friend. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
GP, great team work. We have, only some snow in piles, it has been as warm as 56°, snow plowing might be over. Never turn your back on mother nature. LOL. Cheers
The Dynamic Duo Strikes again, team work is always easier to get things done. Got it looking good around there Gord, it was great that Guy showed up so you two could double time all the drives you folks assist with around there. It would be nice if you all were spared any icing over the driveways but my bet is on Mother Nature so keep your sand box thawed out. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
Gordon, did you buy your LX brand new? If so, would you share your "build" list? There are a lot of choices and based on how you're using yours, I would build mine the same way you did. thanks!
Hi Gord, we didn't get enough of that snow to even plow it here. I was out in my t-shirt! Absolutely crazy February eh? And as you said, later this week it's supposed to go up to +7°c here. Oops on the frozen auger. Giving it a full watch now!
How's she goin'? Frozen impellers, now that has never happened before eh!! LOL Nice job. The 2 tractors work well in tandem. Didn't take long and a nice clean finish too. Thanks and take care!!
Good Evening GP 👍👌😇Yes That Heat Wave Is Comming For Sure 🥴🌞👍We might have a little bit of rain on saturday only 1mm then snow !!! 😮GP you have Options NOW 👍👍😇😇👌👌OUPSSY Sometings is Hard Frozen ❄❄🥶🥶❄❄ You Right GP, PTO Safety First 🙏😇Nice To See Guy with HIS OPEN CAB TRACTOR 🤣🤣👍👌OUTSTANDING TEAM WORK 👌👌👍👍💪💪😇😇 Great Winter Tips GP and BE Well Sir Cheers 🍻🍻
Hi G.P. That’s great to have friends like Guy. I’m impressed with your LX it’s such a nice tractor. Do you ever wish you would have gotten higher horsepower LX? Great video thanks
Those fade outs with the snow hitting the camera were probably what poor Guy’s goggles were like! So you mentioned about the block heater but I don’t think you said how long you leave it plugged in for @ 0C (I assume C not F). Do you have a time that runs it for say 2 hours before you might wake or just leave it plugged in all night when temps are expected that low? Great video, I watches this as our 11” snow is just a memory, it was 63F today in NW Missouri. Have a great day.
LOL! I wish Guy had a cab. I run it for different lengths depending on how cold ( celsius). I plug it in when I wake up. _ around 0 degrees, I leave it for about one hour and then longer up to a few hours as it gets really cold. Have a good one!
Seeing Guy there with his open air heated unit and then you rocking out to music with the ac on so you won’t make Guy feel bad. I think you lads up there should all chip in and get Guy some “Gerbing heated gear” I’m sure he has the means to hook up a 12v plug for it. Gloves, jumper, long underwear and socks/boot warmers ..
Morning 690! Yup, he deserves a cab no doubt but he spends his disposable income on pew pews.. His choice I guess. LOL. But I do feel bad sometimes. Cheers!
Good morning. I have an LX3520 and have been considering this same front mount blower. It's quite expensive so I may not.....I have been reading about the k connect coupler issues in the forums. Have you had any issues with yours?
Hey good day! Honestly, not a single issue so far (knock on wood) except that since it was new, the right pin needs a little tap to get it in, when mounting it. This will be my 5th winter using it. However, I am pretty big on maintenance so I always grease and lubricate regularly, since I got it. I have never had the chute get plugged - not once. No issues with the 4 point connector or anything. But I think, if I were to buy again, I would probably get the residential version. This commercial one is certainly built like a tank and I am sure it will last a long time but my last one was a B2782 on my B2601 tractor, and it worked great too - never a problem, so I am happy I got a wider model this time so I can clear the driveway in 2 passes ( out and back) whereas the other one was not as wide and I always had to do a third pass to get all the corners and widen it. I hope that helps. Good luck!
Now that is true friendship. Sad to say but you don't see Friendship like that to often anymore.
Cheers Dane!
Watching you remove snow is a beautiful sight.
Morning JH!
That is a great neighbor. I know you help him a lot with his wood but still. He is a great friend and neighbor.
He sure is James! Have a great week!

Thanks Gord , you approach life the way we should. Love your attitude.thanks for sharing. Craig Pa.
Cheers Craig! I appreciate your kind comments. Keep smiling!
Great video Gord. You sure are blessed to have such great friends and neighbors so close by. That is truly invaluable.

Guy is a great neighbor. Looks like his deflector needs a little attention, lol. Knowing Guy he'll fix it in about 2 minutes.
How the heck did Guy get that big dent on top of the hood of his tractor? AND.....how old is his Kubota? You should do a sit down coffee time to hear from Guy and the good old days. I'm sure he has some good stories.
He has some some beauties. 19 years I think this year for the tractor. A good idea. Thanks!
Good tips, GP. That's a great reason to start your PTO at the lowest speed possible. If that was revved up it could have done some damage or at least broken a shear pin. Have a great rest of the week.

A safer option for freeing up snowblower would be a propane turbo heater
Good to see you and Guy double teaming the snow. We lost all ours again😢. Have a good week GP. 👍✊

Interesting the differences in snowblower designs. Your blower throws the snow in a much different pattern than your friends. Pretty cool
All the snow I blew never had that problem frozen blower
It was a first for me too. I think it was a combination of the swings in temperature overnight and humidity. I think. Cheers!
Very nice your friend came up to make the job faster. Those machines work really well clearing the snow Gord. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Mike.
I have my block heater plugged into a TP link wi-if plug and turn it on from my house, leaving work where ever for 30 mins. Starts like a summer day.
That's a great idea. Thanks!

Heat gun or hair dryer to melt the ice? Maybe do this after each use so there’s no ice on it to freeze when not in use.

Since your driveway is a full kilometer longer than Guy's, it looks like you got the better part of the deal.
LOL! I think so Gary. His takes a few minutes. :))
How easy is it to put the broadcast spreader on and take off the rear blade?
Morning! Pretty quick - probabaly 20 minutes start to finish. Cheers!

Good day. Yes, for sure needed wheel spacers. Good luck with all the snow out there!
@@GPOutdoors not much snow here lol. Nova Scotiabank has it all. Hahahaha
