Never seen an Rx with gold front calipers! Now that I think about it I've seen black and gold front calipers randomly and inconsistently on STR's since 2013.
My dilemma exactly, old git with CBR which I dearly love but have to stop every 45 minutes 'cos my lower back is killing me. Put a £250.00 deposit down on Rx in black, but can I bear to part with the CBR...? Still unsure and the Rx arrives at the end of this month...perhaps I'll toss a coin...
Mate, really nice! The RX is a kinda stop Gap for the 800 Street coming for 2017-ish. I came from a CBR, which is a fantastic bike BTW. You really do not lose anything from the Honda though and you gain a lot! Torque basically and more speed through the gears and better handling... ...Dare I say that? Damn right!! The wind (for me) is great up to 90-ish and then it gets a bit heavy but that is a small price and she is a Naked after all! Mirrors are shit though... BUT, lift your arms, you get used to it :-)
+Blahdeblah52 cheers mate! Yeah i've heard about the new 800, really excited to see it. I love my CBR, and now I just couldn't sell it for the RX, I just want both..
+Blahdeblah52 I am torn between two bikes right now, a Speed Triple or a Street Triple R both would be 2013 or newer. I test rode both and honestly I like them both but can only have one, maybe I'll wait for the Street Triple 800R, that might be the perfect bike for me, undecided in Cali
So, i think i gotta the idea. lol. But what is your stance on naked vs sport bikes? Mainly riding position. How's the lean foward, high pegs position? That bad? Do you really prefer it? I'm getting my licence and honestly i can't figure out what's my thing. In terms of looks, i can enjoy both.
Hi mate I didn't even know triumph made a tripe Rx it looks awesome i ride a 2013 Daytona 675r in crystal white I've recently had the rims powder coated Ducati red and i think it's improved the look of the bike no end Ive had so many compliments on how it looks now but I really do like the look of this Rx it's my favourite naked 👍🏻s up from me
+Johny Strike I got one (Well, The R version) straight after my test, and had only ridden a 125 for about 2 months. It's great. Its light enough to weave through traffic easily, but it also has the speed when you need it. My only concern is that I've spoiled myself for other bikes...
+Johny Strike Best to get a USED/cheaper 250 or 500 for a few months while you get used to riding on public roads and throttle control. Once you master throttle control in all situations go for something with better power as you like.
20? im 60 and still wheelie my zed thou.. open it up a bit| Have some fun!...but must admit i need something lighter. no disrespect,,, good review. Good bike. its only as capable as you.!
If I got it with the red bit, is it more aerodynamic than without it? I hear red makes things go faster.
You know, I have not yet seen a negative review for the Street Triple R. Beside the mirrors of course.

Get the SC Project Conic exhaust. It transforms the bike - believe me!
I have the sc proect conic and an arrow map on my street triple r. so good!
I thought the R and standard Triple both had the same engine...pretty sure they do.
hi. how are you ,i just wanted to know is this bike good for someone who is 5'5" thanks.
iv got the rx and a ducati 848street fighter ,and i like the street triple better,,,,and im 64.
@@TheGerry53 that's great to know, im really tall also, i'm going to go for this.
Did you do any mods like taller seat or lower pegs?.

Great review mate, I picked mine up a couple of weeks ago and I'm in love with it. Think I got one of the last ones :-)
Awesomeness! I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
+The Rampant Rider would you recommend this bike for a 6-feet tall rider? thx
+David Varela I couldn't see why not, only thing the wind might hit you a bit more, but you can get a bigger windscreen which would help a lot.
The Rampant Rider thanks :)
I really want this bike, trying to sell my yamaha r3 or trade it in towards the street triple. seems like the perfect 2nd bike!
I really, really want a go on one of these
Rampant rider, if you still like the sport bike feel you should test ride a Daytona 675R, you might end up trading the CBR600 in
Yeah deffo man. Weathers turned now so will be doing a test ride in the new year!
Street triple,s more sportbike than an old CBR !

+Ryan Gordon good shout man. I'm looking forward to seeing it!
Plus that fact that I got just over a year of street riding experience, I don't think I'm ready for a Speed Triple.
I thought the mirrors were awesome, but I'm on a yamaha r3 and i can't see anything and have to do the arm lift everytime

Won't know until you try, it's personal preference !

Is it good for beginners?
Depends what you mean by beginners. I know a few people that have gone for this after their tests, due to its size and it being quite lightweight.

Beginners will get killed on this bike. Ride a 250-300cc first. Being light doesn't mean it's a toy...far from it😁
+Martin Sage Nah, it is pretty good for beginners. Sure it has some power, but it is really smooth.

Did you buy one?
Maybe one day ;)
The std,R, and Rx have same engine
How tall are u mate
5,9 :)
Yeah, it's a great bike but I'm not in love with the display.

If you are into Sportsbikes but find the mainstream Supersports lacking character and want more low and midrange power you need a Panigale.
way too overpriced
