I have 2 Trezor wallets, I call them #1 and #2. I have 2 different amounts of BTC on them. Is there a way to name them internally. Can I show the 2 wallets on there dash board. Thanks Scott
So,I have this. I used to access a previous wallet. It supports more coins. That's why I bought it. So, where are they? How do I see this list? It is supposed to support a whole lot more than my original basic Trezor. Where? How? I want to move these coins from an exchange to then new Trezor.
If you want to manage more cryptos, you need to go to your dashboard in Trezor Suite. Over on the side where it shows your existing accounts. There'll be a plus symbol just above and to the right. Click the plus symbol to add more cryptos.
Get both. Even though the Trezor Safe 5 is extremely secure, having multiple hardware wallets to store your crypto is definitely more secure. In the event that one of your hardware wallets was comprised, the other wallet(s) will be safe. Also, if you hold all of your crypto on one hardware wallet and you end up losing your seed phrase, all of your crypto will be lost. If, for example, you had half of your crypto on one hardware wallet and the other half on a second hardware wallet and you lost your seed phrase to one of those hardware wallets, only half of your crypto will be lost.
Hello cryptoDad, Lots of respect to you. I admired the way you making all these technical videos. I have one question to you if possible please reply to this... My question is if I have some crypto in stake locking period then is it possible to transfer those crypto (already in stake locking period) to any cold wallet like trezor/ledger? Thank you and kind regards, Your faithful follower
@@abdussalam-hn9pl Sorry just saw this. Unfortunately, when you have a crypto staked, you have no access to it. In other words you can’t withdraw or transfer it anywhere else. I know there are ways to re-delegate to a new validator with some crypto. But even then, you would have to leave the crypto in the wallet where it was originally staked. Now, if you’re using Lido to stake your Ethereum, you can move StEth anywhere you want. You can trade it or sell it if you want to.
hi, so my question is how do I add on more coin that I don't see on the trezor 5, because I don't see an option for to add more when I go to ETH then hit coin. so confused with using this.
Thanks, very helpful. I think it would be a good idea to do a follow-up video. Add a few dollars worth of coins to the new wallet, then wipe and restore the wallet 3 times, using shares 1&2, then 1&3, and finally 2&3 to confirm in each case the coins show up, leaving nothing to chance before adding a meaningful number of coins. Am I thinking clearly?
Yes, you are thinking clearly. That is a very rigorous way of double checking your seed phrases. I'm just thinking out loud here, but I believe it if you can successfully restore from 1&2 and then 2&3, that it's a safe bet that a 1&3 combo would work, and no need to test it, since you have already used each one in a successful restore. But no harm in being thorough since you've already done the other two.
Yes. I consider that the biggest drawback to using the Trezor platform, lack of support for a wide range of cryptocurrencies. If it weren't for that, Trezor would be number one on my list. They have so much other things going for them. Still, if all you're using is Bitcoin and Ethereum, then Trezor is a no brainer.
I purchased the Safe 5 and went to set it up and Trezor Suites took me directly to my Trezor One. Trezor support is no help, I only get one sentence cryptic responses. I wish we could talk to someone.
Thanks for publishing this! I need advice: My crypto wallet on OKX holds some USDT TRX20, and I have the recovery phrase: -clean- -party- -soccer- -advance- -audit- -clean- -evil- -finish -tonight- -involve- -whip- -action-. What’s the best way should I proceed with sending them to Binance?
Thanks Crypto Dad. The original or first generation Trezor is still good to use if preferred? Is there a way to do a transfer from previous generation trezor to a newer trezor without having to use the crypto exchanges a medium where fees are being charged on outgoing transfers?
Of course you would just do a migration of your seed phrase. Basically buy a new device and instead of setting it up as new, do a restore from backup phrase and use the backup phrase from your original device. Now the new device has full access to all of the crypto from the old device Same wallets, different device.

Thank you. You put a lot of time, effort, and even bought 3 Trezor safe 5s for this demonstration. Respect.
Glad it helped

So all 3 seed phases combined = 1 address? And if I want to add many other passphrases to the address, the original seed are those 3 seed phrases?
In your opinion given both pros and cons would you prefer this over ledger stax/flex
Dad back on it again 🫡

Where do I get one of those Bitcoin lights hanging in your room?
It was a gift from my dad.
Will u recommend trezor 5 or tangem?

Great video cryptodad.
Im surprised and disappointed trezor safe 5 doesnt have more coins to store.

The most important part I wanted to see you didn't do: Making use of 2 out of the 3 lists... :/
if you think it is tampered can we still factory reset it? heard stories their assets were drained after buying from resellers
Factory reset will delete the wallet but the firmware itself (The Device) may be infected.
Always buy direct from manufacture IMO

I guess 12 words seed phrase and passphrase is more then enough to make hacker difficult to steal our crypto
