I owned a Kia. Best paintwork of the cars I owned. The interior was very durable. It had it's issues, but the dealership fixed it with a smile every time.
Was it a GDI??
@@eferrari Gasoline direct injection. It has been said that this system gives excessive carbon build up. However I drove 110.000 km without a problem. Then a friend of mine bought it, and drove it up to 250.000 km. Mitsubishi had a lot of problems with this engine design

Working with used cars you have a vast amount of knowledge.
I like the direction Kia are going. Their design language is improving. And the interior of this new Sorento looks good.
I have a soft for Kia. My father picked out and bought me a used Kia Rio as my first car.
I drove it for 5 years as I was saving to pay back my father, and I was saving to eventually buy a brand new car. The Rio served me well during that time.
Personally I love the mix of content you are providing. Of course the original format and content will always be the fave in the rotation but that doesn't mean other stuff isn't more than welcome.

Love this Matt. Really good to see you present new cars for a change. Your presentation style is what I would like to see from more car reviewers. As a potential new car buyer I don’t want overly slick “produced for youtube” type reviews, I just want sensible useful information with practical facts about the car you are presenting. No crash bang music and drama. Sure add a little polish in the background of course, but no more than is needed. Said it before Matt but you really are a great presenter and you deliver with that dry sometimes non PC whit that we all love. Lets see more new car reviews because you are a natural at this and very easy on the eye too ;). Keep the good work up Matt. You have a super channel.

6:20 That fingerprint sensor might sound really high tech and modern but cars have had them for years; my 2003 Audi A8 has a fingerprint sensor, and that car was made in November of 2002, over 21 years ago.
Most technology in cars have been around for decades. The only change is that it gets less bulky and is more elegant to use.
Yes that is usually how it works. It appears first in luxury cars like your A8 and then the regular cars get them 10 20 years later

Great video Matt, nice to get some different content between the stuff we all love and come here for. People just like to whinge so I wouldn't pay much attention, it's easy to click off and watch something else if you don't like a particular video. I ran a 2018 sorento from 6k miles to about 66k miles over 3 years. I bought it at 4 months old, an ex demo. Faultless motoring and returned 38mpg.
It replaced a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 v6 diesek so had big enough shoes to fill so to speak. I was very pleased with it.
Change of job meant i parted with it but i had intended to keep it for many years

Well done Matt would love to see more new car reviews. I have been impressed with Kia since I got my 2016 Sorrento and now have a 2023 Sportage Hybrid, they seem to offer a lot of extras and there styling is up there with the best.

At first I was not interested in this car, but your brief, and excellent review gives plenty of food for thought. It’s not a flashy looking car, but in does have some attractive features. I look forward to hearing more from you when you test drive it.

When you made th video about the new Sportage I had it, I just switched to Sorento last week, and here you are. :) Glad that you got to review the new cars as well! I would like to see a bit more about the technology that the cars have - the assists and safety features.
