Hi Daniel, unfortunately I realized that the audio in warzone is completely out of order compared to multiplayer, and the only decent configuration currently is "soundbar", while the others appear to be very muffled. Have you noticed this difference too? do you recommend using the soundbar by lowering the treble in the EQ (I use the pulse)? and are you thinking of making a video just for warzone? thank you and good evening
That's correct, Warzone sounds a bit different and in this video I mostly considered MW3, I'll check that too, and Yes sound bar with a bit lower Trebel could be a nice choice for a lower dynamic range!

Hi, to reduce the dynamic range (making louder sound quieter) the best way is using TV mode that makes quiet sounds loud, and this way you can reduce the overall volume and make louder sound effects quieter! hope that helps.

finally the video on the audio of call of duty. up to now I have used TV, having tried bass boost and soundbar obviously with stereo audio (with 3D audio everything was more confusing) headphones I hadn't tried it until now, later I will try this mix with the new EQ you posted. let's hope for the best and it continues like this.
Thanks! TV mode makes low volume sounds louder and high volumes quieter (like shots) but for some people, it's too much and they blend to each other; that's why I recommended Soundbar, still, feel free to use TV if it sounds good to you!

Hi, Typically yes, I'm not sure if BG3 supports Dolby Atmos for headphones, have you tested it? how about 3D Audio? if it sounds good you can use it, if Bass got too much lower it as most games with 3D Audio sound a bit muffled in Pulse 3D.
@@DanielZH To be honest, I'm not happy with any settings for Pulse 3D. I bought them yesterday and so far I haven't found any adjustment that satisfies me. The sound is very dull no matter if I set it on dolby, pcm, stereo or 3d. Quite disappointed with the product. Hey, I have some questions. My setup is as follows: PS5 hooked up to hdmi 2.1 TV and a 5.1.2 Atmos soundbar (Q800C) hooked up to the tv with eARC, with the TV set to passthrough audio. So the audio signal from my PS5 goes straight from my ps5 to my 5.1.2 Atmos soundbar, and both 7.1/5.1 LPCM and Atmos are fully supported. I'm trying to decide on the best PS5 audio settings. I used to have it set to Atmos, which works perfectly. TV reports a DTHD signal coming in, passing it through by eARC, and the soundbar says it's receiving Atmos. However I am now wondering if I'm better off setting the PS5 to LPCM, because I see people talking about all kinds of bugs with different games when Atmos is enabled. I thought enabling Atmos would basically just give the PS5 access to all Atmos channels, and when a game doesn't use 3D audio, that it would simply send the plain default 5.1 or 7.1 signal within the Atmos container, and that there wouldn't be any difference between LPCM and Atmos in that case. Both DTHD and LPCM are lossless right? Could you tell me whether I should keep using Atmos or just choose LPCM? And as a follow up, when using LPCM, should I choose 5.1 or 7.1 for my 5.1.2 soundbar? Is it best to let the soundbar handle the downscaling of the additional 2 channels? Or should I let the PS5 handle this? I'm worried it might limit a game's audio capabilities in some way, and I was thinking that maybe the soundbar has some processing going on that allows it to still put the 7.1 channels to good use by adding an effect to it, to make it still kinda distinguishable even though it's coming through the 5.1 channels. And lastly, should I set the speaker positions to the actual positions of the soundbar in terms of degrees, or should I just leave it to default?

Thanks for the info! yes based on the test and the sheet I provided TV mode has the loudest footstep sounds and lowers gunshots a bit compared to higher dynamic ranges, if it doesn't give you headache, feel free to keep it on what it is.

Very nice, is it Version 3? Typically Dolby Atmos for new story games like SM2 that has a Dolby mix for headphoines and Linear PCM for other games (from the specs I checked)
Hi, based on the test I made Dolby Atmos didn't add any benefits, but if your headset supports them I recommend you try Dolby Audio and see if it makes any changes to gameplay

I use linear for my LGTV, but when I watch Amazon Prime with Dolby Atmos on I see next to certain movies it says Dolby Atmos only app I think support Dolby Atmos on PS5. Thanks for sharing the info, I'm not sure if Amazon Prime supports Dolby Atmos as I couldn't find official information about it, but if you use it on PS5 and you hear the difference, then it may support it! I'm about to cover more sports games soon and I'll start with FC 24 tests in the coming weeks!

Yeah because of the Bass boost, that's why headphones mode is more optimized for most mid-range headsets that already have high bass on a higher volume.

the first and third are correct but not sure if the TV part is correct, try a game like Astro and see if you get channels correctly or Spiderman 2 if you have it.

Hi, if your TV passthrough Dolby through optical then choose Dolby, but most of the time there's an extra delay, and for most games (as there's no native Dolby mix for headphones) it's not worth it, I'd choose Linear PCM

I checked the headset on Rtings, and either Home Theater or Soundbar are good choices, I'd also recommend linear PCM, but you have to consider MW3 has a lot of reasons and stuff to prevent you from hearing footsteps, some of them include these: - Surfaces affect the distance of footsteps being heard (like metal, carpet, etc.) - The surrounding area can affect the reflections or stop them from being heard (even a simple plate behind you) - Some parts of the maps due to the last reason are bugged and can't hear the audio in those spots - if they use covert sneakers they become silent - after about 20 meters it's almost impossible to hear footsteps on any mode except TV mode.

Both are loud for my sensitive ears, but TV seems to dull-down the gunfire sounds while still having the Loup footstep sounds so going to try out TV for the time being. The mid and high response is great in Pulse Explore but Bass frequencies not much, as there's no app or EQ support for these earbuds there's not much you can do, but I recommend trying headphones with Bass boost option

What best eq for apex legends I have pulse 3d I tried different eq and even shooter and the sound is completely off,when I was on ps4 I had no problem telling where enemies were. Better yet what the same eq that ps4 use so it be back normal 😅

Wow. Daniel great video as always. So PCM linear has a decoding lower delay then DTS right. Considering the sound quality between them, which format is best for cod?
Thanks! Yes LPCM is the fastest but considering anything lower than 8ms is not even a frame, most people won't feel it, DTS is good for the cases where you have issues with LPCM, otherwise LPCM works fine.

Hi, Pulse 3D sounds a bit quieter on PS5 with Dongle (not on PC though) but the difference should be about 20%, if it's 60% less then there might be some issue!

Hi, Haven't tested WZ3 specifically, but both probably use the similar audio systems in new map, I'd still recommend Headphones, and if you want louder footstep sounds, soundbar and TV for the loudest, but soon I'll test Warzone in a dedicated video.
Based on the Rtings test Frequency Response Consistency is not good in Bass, but overall it delivers a good audio and mic quality! again, High bass is around 4dB higher than neutral so it could be good to lower 100-200Hz a bit based on the game and 3D audio.

Hi, 3D Audio usually sounds different in each game, but based on a few tests I've made they usually sound a bit muffled due to the high bass range and Low Mid (100Hz to 125Hz) so I would say keeping Bass and low a bit lower than stereo mode should do the job, but again depends on the game. the rest (mid - High - Treble) could be the same as the usual sound normal from the games I tested.

Due to lower power and simulation of directions in soundbars, I'd suggest either Soundbar mode or TV mode to hear quiet sounds too like footsteps.

Thanks for the info! yes based on the test and the sheet I provided TV mode has the loudest footstep sounds and lowers gunshots a bit compared to higher dynamic ranges, if it doesn't give you headache, feel free to keep it on what it is.

My question is always been we understand the PC has the most options for audio manipulation. I play on PS five is there a way to filter your PS five sound through your PC and then back to your PS five or whatever headset you may be running.
Yes, you can do that by sound cards and that's how I listen to my PS5 now. PC has the best options overall.

Hi, based on the test I made Dolby Atmos didn't add any benefits, but if your headset supports them I recommend you try Dolby Audio and see if it makes any changes to gameplay

Thanks, based on the specs in Logitech, I'd recommend Linear PCM for MW3 and stereo, yet try 3D Audio and see if it helps, because it uses a USB interface 3D Audio may sound different than wireless transmitters.

@@NallaHazalThe Frequency Response is very good on this headset, I only recommend lowering 125 to 250Hz to -3dB if you use headphones mode, and make 2K to 5K about +4dB higher. if you choose Soundbar or TV mode, don't change the bass or just -1dB.

I use linear for my LGTV, but when I watch Amazon Prime with Dolby Atmos on I see next to certain movies it says Dolby Atmos only app I think support Dolby Atmos on PS5. When I play games on Dolby Atmos huge delay so I keep it on linear unless I’m watching some entertainment I use Dolby Atmos. Which is Better for entertainment like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc? Thanks for sharing the info, I'm not sure if Amazon Prime supports Dolby Atmos as I couldn't find official information about it, but if you use it on PS5 and you hear the difference, then it may support it! I'm about to cover more sports games soon and I'll start with FC 24 tests in the coming weeks!
So as far as I can see prime video basically put Atmos behind a paywall and if you buy the add free version you should get atmos. That is what I’ve heard

I run headphones boost on my Turtle Beaches pro but sometimes it gets a lil muddy.
Yeah because of the Bass boost, that's why headphones mode is more optimized for most mid-range headsets that already have high bass on a higher volume.

Hi, typically the Bass is high when using 3D Audio, I use similar EQ but lowering the bass as needed.

I would recommend Headphones mode for both but increase treble a little (2-3dB) in the app for 2-5K for a 10, a 50 is fine.

the first and third are correct but not sure if the TV part is correct, try a game like Astro and see if you get channels correctly or Spiderman 2 if you have it.

Hi, if your TV passthrough Dolby through optical then choose Dolby, but most of the time there's an extra delay, and for most games (as there's no native Dolby mix for headphones) it's not worth it, I'd choose Linear PCM

I checked the headset on Rtings, and either Home Theater or Soundbar are good choices, I'd also recommend linear PCM, but you have to consider MW3 has a lot of reasons and stuff to prevent you from hearing footsteps, some of them include these:
- Surfaces affect the distance of footsteps being heard (like metal, carpet, etc.)
- The surrounding area can affect the reflections or stop them from being heard (even a simple plate behind you)
- Some parts of the maps due to the last reason are bugged and can't hear the audio in those spots
- if they use covert sneakers they become silent
- after about 20 meters it's almost impossible to hear footsteps on any mode except TV mode.
@@DanielZH Thanks for the reply. I’ve been experimenting back and forth between Sound Bar and TV over the last hour or so. Both are loud for my sensitive ears, but TV seems to dull-down the gunfire sounds while still having the Loup footstep sounds so going to try out TV for the time being. But I appreciate the Sound Bar/Home Theatre recommendation! :)

I do have a hdmi sound extractor, then connect the optical cable from the extractor to a Soundblaster g3 sound card and the sound card connected to my ps5, I connect the headset (razr v2) to the sound card and the sound is crispy and clear, I love it and recommend that set up.

The reason Dolby Atmos mix is mostly presented in story/scripted parts in new games is that its implaneted this way, so 3D Audio may benefit your gameplay experience better with headphones in some cases while even if Dolby Atmos is supported may not provide the same result, so test both for other games and use the one that sounds better to you.

The mid and high response is great in Pulse Explore but Bass frequencies not much, as there's no app or EQ support for these earbuds there's not much you can do, but I recommend trying headphones with Bass boost option

What best eq for apex legends I have pulse 3d I tried different eq and even shooter and the sound is completely off,when I was on ps4 I had no problem telling where enemies were. Better yet what the same eq that ps4 use so it be back normal 😅

But I'm unable to receive audio when I connect it using USB on the PS5! Now I'm currently using the IEMs directly connected to the PS5 controller. Please help me!

Haven't tested Warzone in Depth yet, but I heard it doesn't have a good system and a lot of SFX miss in the game, will do a test in future videos.

So PCM linear has a decoding lower delay then DTS right. Considering the sound quality between them, which format is best for cod?
Thanks! Yes LPCM is the fastest but considering anything lower than 8ms is not even a frame, most people won't feel it, DTS is good for the cases where you have issues with LPCM, otherwise LPCM works fine.

depends on the card you use, even a USB 2 sound card can do the job if it's good enough in processing the audio

Hi, that EQ is only available for Pulse 3D Headset, other headphones have different apps.
Dolby atmos can take 2ch and make it soind GREAT! it can move objects around , even on stereo .

Hi, Pulse 3D sounds a bit quieter on PS5 with Dongle (not on PC though) but the difference should be about 20%, if it's 60% less then there might be some issue!

En USB tu profites pas du dolby et je trouve que le son est moins bon je te cache pas qu'actuellement je suis passé sur l'astro a50x ^^ la question ne se pose plus je passe par du HDMI mais le son est incroyable voilà 👍

Hi, Haven't tested WZ3 specifically, but both probably use the similar audio systems in new map, I'd still recommend Headphones, and if you want louder footstep sounds, soundbar and TV for the loudest, but soon I'll test Warzone in a dedicated video.

Based on the Rtings test Frequency Response Consistency is not good in Bass, but overall it delivers a good audio and mic quality! again, High bass is around 4dB higher than neutral so it could be good to lower 100-200Hz a bit based on the game and 3D audio.

TV mode has the loudest footstep sounds based on the test, but some people like to have more dynamic range that's why I recommended Soundbar overall.

Hi, 3D Audio usually sounds different in each game, but based on a few tests I've made they usually sound a bit muffled due to the high bass range and Low Mid (100Hz to 125Hz) so I would say keeping Bass and low a bit lower than stereo mode should do the job, but again depends on the game. the rest (mid - High - Treble) could be the same as the usual sound normal from the games I tested.

Cinéma maison (Home Theater)
Barre de son (Soundbar)

For a normal stereo headphone 99% of the time LPCM works better.

Based on Rtings review for 2021 model accuracy is good, I would only suggest lowering Bass on 60-100-250Hz about -3dB

You can, however the way audio works in WZ and MW3 is affected by many stuff that cause not hearing them sometimes.
