Very helpful, indeed! I'll add something regarding the TV settings: I tried to switch my PS5 to ALLM, but it said my TV doesn't support ALLM. Looked up my TV specifications and it should. Turned out I need to a) use one specific HDMI port that supports ALLM, and b) switch the settings of that port from the pre-set Dolby Vision to Optimized in the TV settings, as the PS5 doesn't support Dolby Vision and at the same time the Dolby Vision setting blocks the ALLM function. Make sure to explore your TV specifications and settings when attempting this, folks! It's too much to put in a video as I'm sure the variations are endless. Knowing that ALLM exists at all and how to set it up on the PS5 was super helpful. If and how it works with your TV deserves to be explored, as any game that requires quick actions (looking at you, Returnal) otherwise becomes unplayable. I even struggled with Cocoon, of all games, thanks to the lag on my new TV. That's over now. Gamers be gamin'!
My TV doesn't support ATLLM, but the communication via usb method I can sense an IMMEDIATE difference. Thank you so much, dude. Elden Ring should be so much more tolerable now.
I was having problems in both fortnite and call of duty and it was impacting my gameplay alot I’m gonna do this to see if it will improve and fix the problem thanks
It doesn’t matter if I use USB-C or Bluetooth, always lags. Some games less, some more. That’s so odd for 2024 I remember playing Sega in 2003, I didn’t have any lag…..
This is false the duelsense does not have less input lag on your controller (the ALLM thing is true) but the duelsense is literally designed to be wireless it does not have less latency when wired that is a myth it has the same latency wired or Bluetooth this has been tested several times and fun fact the ps4 controller actually has significantly more input lag when you use a wired connection
Some guy tested it, its about 10 ms faster via usb cable (but You must change in options cable connection not just plug it in cause when You just plug in its just charging and controller still use Bluetooth mode to communicate
Anyone know how to really fix lag stutters on ps5? I have a brand new ps5 slim and Fortnite/mw3/apex legends games are all laggy! I have tried everything! What can I do? Anyone else have this problem? I have high speed internet also and still lag! 😢
If I choose to use usb cable then to play wirelessly I need to change the use cable setting to use bluethoth? Second, when using cable dualsense will stop charging?
Gameplay for seasons online is slow even if you have the best monitor and the best PC the best anything It has nothing to do with that EA sports the way they design the game is why it's slow for seasons online however ultimate team online is very fast paced It has nothing to do with settings but the actual architecture of the game I don't understand why they didn't apply that to seasons

I have Samsung G4 monitor and it's showing allm not supported. It is gsync and free sync enabled. Can anyone let me know weather the monitor doesn't support it or I am Missing something?
Same thing for me I have A Acer Predator monitor that has G Sync but im pretty sure it doesn't turn on because the hdmi cable the PS5 came with for me was a 2.0 cable not 2.1 and ive looked it up and it seems that was the issue.
You shouldn't worry about it. ALLM is a feature designed for TVs mainly. It simply signal to your TV to disable all image processing and switch into Game Mode. If you're using a gaming monitor that is it's default state anyway.
I'm not sure if this has been debunked. I don't know what to believe, some people say it does make a difference, like you. And some other people say it doesn't make a difference. I don't know what to believe really... 😕 Plus I use game mode while playing games. So I personally don't feel a difference really...

Same. You can mess around with settings all you like but if you only got a 60hz tv or something you aint gonna solve thw problem lol
Half of you people on here have input delay because you guys play on a tv, switch to a monitor and you’ll see a difference.

No it doesn’t it gives you more consistent lower input lag on the controller but nothing we can notice tbh

This is wrong. There's a huge difference in cabled vs wireless. You can tell when playing a gane Luke rocket league
@@killz323 no that is incorrect what you are experiencing is the placebo effect

change your mtu settings.
my input lag, while using Elgato screen capture, was having buffering enabled. once I disabled it, I was good.
where was this setting at?

you reset the system controller configuration when you switched to usb.
your lag most likely came from custom settings
