You would think people who lived in Alaska would have better gun discipline, not making sure the gun was functional was a major downfall of this incident.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the woman didn’t have the gun loaded or put the wrong caliber in it . I’ve shot all types of firearms my whole life and I’ve never had a rifle “jam” on me . But it’s inexcusable to not have a firearm on you in the Alaskan bush . I have one with me when I go to Walmart. Careless stupidity killed that man .
The use of tools and traps is older than guns, and requires some intelligence Its just less necessary to use them now, and the prolonged suffering is also unnecessary
Anyone else think the woman in the first story might be lying? A gun jamming is about a one in a thousand chance, combine that with the odds that under extreme stress she would hit the bear square in the forehead giving her time to run away...Or could it probably be more likely that she was terrified and just ran away? The first story sounds a lot better when dealing with the husbands family for the rest of her life...hmmmm
I heard the story on another channel. Her husband was the one familiar with guns, not her. When the bear attacked she was naturally panicky and got a round jammed in the chamber, improperly and that's why the gun wouldn't fire. She ran away because there was nothing else she could do, the bear wouldn't give up and I think after trying, she saw it was already too late to save him. In the story I heard, the bear came after her and was even at the cabin door threatening her after she went inside. The authorities had to shoot it when they got there because it was also guarding his body. It was a clearly predatory attack. I don't think there was anything suspicious about it. And I truly hope she has since learned how to handle weapons. Everyone in bear country should know how. RIP to the victims. ❤
@xthexskrillex That's called staying alive. That's their natural way of hunting. It's also their home. Enter it, at your own risk I say. Be alert and careful.

Regarding the wolf incident. They said the his revolver was useless as he had put it back in its holster. Yet, he had time to run away and draw his knife. Why couldnt he just as easily draw his revolver??? I dont get it. Can anyone enlighten me?? Just finished watching and they said the gun was unloaded and broken yet earlier they said he loaded the gun and put it in his holster. Doesnt make sense.
I love how you guys act like 2013 was like the Dark Ages, and people had to send smoke signals to communicate! I mean... there was definitely Internet, and personally, I already had a Smart Phone by that time.😃
It's about time we start believing in karma, folks. The guy who died in this video obviously had been hunting innocent animals for fun his whole life, not out of necessity to survive. Even on this final honeymoon trip, he had planned to hunt innocent animals. But he didn't know that karma had other plans for him. His wife, on the other hand, was not a hunter. She had never used a gun to hunt animals before as mentioned in the video. However, she had been an active participant in her husband's activities and thus had accrued some karma of her own. So, the karma didn't eliminate her. It only gave her a psychological hit in the form of trauma and guilt.
that is just total bullshit this is why I HATE BEARS & believe me when i say I love all animals except them & sharks all b cuz they do hunt us as prey & if bears we're such excellent stealth hunters then why couldn't he succeed n get n enough food 4 the winter 2 hibernate so which is it????
Just because a creature is an excellent hunter doesn’t mean there is always available pray/ food sources around to hunt, there is always competition with other predators in the area that can make sources scarce. Also most bears don’t seek to hunt humans and tend to avoid them, mostly attacking when protecting their territory or cubs
I will never travel to Alaska, that place is creepy and dangerous can't understand why some people like to go to Alaska, instead travel to Italy or Spain to see beautiful cathedrals, monuments, statues, things you will never find in North America.
Brand new shark video tomorrow!
Okay! Thanks!
Yaaaa baby
Awesome!!
Yaaaaaassssssssss!!!!!
Good a new 🦈🦈🦈🦈shark video than bears or wolf attack
You would think people who lived in Alaska would have better gun discipline, not making sure the gun was functional was a major downfall of this incident.
and also not bringing it in the first place
The yukon in a cabin with a new baby was absolutely as dumb of a decision you could ever make!!!!
This is why you never go into the wild without side arms and rifles
STOP TORTURING ANIMALS WITH TRAPS!!!😡
Why do you go out in Alaska without a weapon when you know how many dangerous animals you can be attacked by there?
Complacency, people never have an issue so let their guard down
I like the phrase 'better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it'
Yeah it's something Valerie could've done, she could've not taken her ass out there. Then she put her child's life in harm's way being stupid

I think the safety lock was on
I agree, I don't even leave my house without one.
Some Women know more about Weapons than some men do!!!!
Trapping is disgusting. A cowards way to hunt.

How crazy not having GUNS TO GO IN ALASKA - how is that possible- naivety!!

It's her words, so we'll never know the true story.
My guess is that after seeing the bear killing and devouring her husband, she ran way.

I always wonder how they have all these details in stories like this if the person was never seen again and there were no witnesses..
I love how we all know what these victims were thinking even though they aren't here to tell us. 😅
These stories reruns 🤮🤮
It appears there were several people staying at Robert and Nina's cabin, including Leonardo DiCaprio.
Sad but people are getting bears killed. And trapping animals....how cruel is that
bears eats humans and animals alive , animals are cruel too

So if Chris is dead who told you what happened..the wolves?
BEAUTIFULL WOLF❤
Bears & Wolves Ate In The Cabin
The long build up is unnecessary
That guy trapped and killed the bears food sources. So it ate his family
People need to stay out of animals homes
How about using photographs that match what you are saying.
Why am I the first one and why is this 1 sec ago
Lol

Wolves don't attack people.
Lol yes they do
I don't buy it. He died in another way and the wolves scavenged.

Hey 😊👋🏾
Sure, way to go without the gun.not like ya needed it . very careless these folks.
They don't belong there 😮
naive amateurs that were native to alaska but dont know basic stuff?
Love the assumed narration 😂.
Are these stories 100 % real life?
Yes there are articles written about the mom and her 10month old attacked by a bear near their cabin
Yes.. However maybe a few details are added for entertainment or to make more of a story to the video
Real stories with added drama by the channel narrator for effect.
What kind of a lousy , cheap rifle and ammo did Nina have ?

Poorly told story. Takes 30 min to tell a 10 min story. Irritating and boring.
Anyone who walks around unarmed in dangerous animal country have only themselves to blame , when attacked .
