Yes, there are some Pits that are nice, however, you never know when they will just snap. I have read story after story of how nice, sweet pit bulls just attacked for no reason. These dogs have a crazy, wild gene somewhere, because they were bred for fighting. It’s not the dogs fault. They can’t help it, they were bred that way.😢

And their genes and an enzyme imbalance. My brother had a pit bull, he was its companion. He played with it and greatly cared for it daily for its entire life. One day something changed and a dull lifeless look came over it, from that moment on it would try to kill every thing in sight. It killed cats, calves, traveled over a mile to the neighbor’s, mauled one of his dogs, broke a door to pursue more animals and started fixating on small kids in the area. This was an immediate change that we watched happen. It passed in its sleep in its dog run which was sad and fortunate at the same time. It wasn’t the dog’s fault, but in this case it had nothing to do with its training, socialization, care or how it was raised. There’s a gene that was bred into them to make them extra aggressive. I’ve known very kind pit bulls that don’t have a problem, but I can’t trust one anymore. Literally half of the ones I’ve known develop some issue. Prime training them wrong is horrible and certainly makes things worse.

You can come for me if ya want to but Pitbulls are a pack of wild dogs, I'm not hating on them, it's there nature, you should have to have them registered and they should be treated like a " loaded gun" because in respects, that's what they are, when they go off it doesn't matter to them weather your 92, 55 or 6mos old, they can't/don't distinguish between right and wrong, like the gun going off, it does what it's job is, they are very dangerous even with proper care and compassion, it's a WILD DOG......the owners should be charged with murder especially when there's footage they were loose for days ...smh

I promise if you have ever been around pits and a pack of wild dogs u would know they rnt anywhere near the same. No domestic dog has the hinting instinct or drive as a wild animal. Thats part of the domestication process due to thousands of years of selective breeding. However I agree the owner of these dogs should be charged as these dogs where clearly abused and neglected or else they would never have been loose like this, and yes the owners should be heald responsible for what their pets caused due to their mistreatment.

While that is mostly the case, my brother saved a previously mistreated pitbull and it was nice to him but attacked animals when it got a chance. They are literally bred to “pit bulls” to do things such as assist ranchers who may be attacked by a bull. His second pit bull was amazing to people, however sadly at 13 she developed an enzyme imbalance and she would watch things as if in a trance. When she got out of her dog run she’d been in over night, her nose went to the ground and she terrorized several animals, breaking through a door, killing cats, calves and dogs. Finally at an older age she was tracking a neighbor kid and fortunately but sadly she passed in her sleep before anything could come of it. Her dog run was for overnight and was 15x20+ feet, she was regularly played with and exercised with great care. It was determined by the vet that she had been born with an issue that developed over time and the enzyme imbalance was also to blame. The biggest danger is that they’re bred to be too loyal and protective and extra powerful and they are one of the more dangerous breeds, like Rottweilers, Dobermans and so on because of their power and capability of high damage, but aren’t mostly to blame. It’s like most sharks being dangerous but denying a great white has more capability to be dangerous, a pit bull is like a great white: it usually doesn’t attack but when it does nothing compares to the damage it does.

The only reason a pitbull would be aggressive or dangerous is because the owner raised them that way, they get such a bad rep because of people training them to be like that. Pit bulls were literally bred with extra power and an aggressive gene. I agree people are mostly to blame, although some pit bulls develop an enzyme imbalance that can make them change over night and they lose their mental control, making the breed overall untrustworthy. I’ve seen amazing and kind ones, but I’ve seen some raised the same way that end up tragically having an issue and becoming extremely dangerous. I feel for the breed and it’s just sad.

Talk about victim blaming. Why is it always something the human did? Believe it or not, some animals are irritable and aggressive without any so-called stimulus. Sometimes they attack because they feel like it, not because they're responding to some kind of a human-caused stress.

In this case, dangerous dogs. Honestly they are so deluded.
