Not in the Pokemon world, starting with sports cards. This video is what so many people need to hear. I appreciate the insight and left the sub for your honesty and integrity in this video. Thank you!
Awesome to see another Nebraskan in the card market!! Working to scale my shop while doing the 9-5. Glad I came across your channel!! Thanks for the content man, lot of great info!
Thank you for the honesty and insight. It is nice to have some one be honest and upfront rather than sugar coating details. Thank you for the videos and look forward to watching the other ones as well .
This is a solid guide! Pokémon reselling can be a great business if you play your cards right (pun intended). Man, I don’t sell Pokémon at all, but what you just explained can definitely work in multiple ways other than Pokémon. I just started eBay last week- I just turned 18-and in my first week, I did $1,500 in sales with about $600 profit. I know that’s not quite your job money, but for only 1-2 hours a day and answering texts throughout the day, it's not bad. If I can do it, anyone can. Just do the work- you don’t need RUclips to get started. I think anyone who reads this could make an extra $100-200 this week from eBay or some other type of reselling without much work.
You inspired on vice a year ago in October I started my Japanese pokemon card business for that exact reason it's a even playing field if I'm willing to put in the work and take the risk. I can get the prices low enough to distribute to collectors here. Every month my sales is higher. Thanks pokeNe
Great information! I did fairly well just selling off my duplicate cards on eBay, I thought it would be awesome to do what you are, but I can't handle that at this time nor do I have the space to do it. Maybe one day
@pokene_pokemon it's been a pleasure getting this info straight from the horses mouth. I saw your VICE piece when it premiered, but was already owning and operating a record store. Now I'm selling half of my collection and trying to pivot into a business model similar to yours. I can tell you're doing something that fulfills you but also provides for your family. By my estimation, you don't even have to make these videos - so I'm trying to appreciate that by being a sponge. Keep fighting the good fight!

This is an awesome video for starting any business, not just Pokemon! Was about to order a 151 UPC from someone else, but got it from you honestly just cause I was impressed by the content. Keep up the good work!
Dude, this is honestly such a great and informative video. I don’t normally comment on videos, but this one is definitely an exception. Keep up the good work Brian!

This man is dropping gold nuggets and reality checks! Excellent info here! Retail arbitrage was great when I was in college but that model wasn’t sustainable. Always hunting and researching new products that ultimately wasn’t repeatable. People under estimate the power of FB marketplace and the reach of eBay. I appreciate all the content you put into this video
I just registered as a sole trader yesterday in Ireland and work a 9-5, next stop finding a good distributor/reseller in Europe and do it as a side hustle. I also just ordered my first ever booster box ( Korean) due to the price, I know its not the best but my excitement is real. Cheers :)

So many good ideas man! My local poke-shop is awesome, but he doesn't have a place to sit to rip packs! Thank goodness because I would have opened more. Hate to say it, but it's kind of like a casino. You want people to stay. If slot machines didn't have chairs, people would be less likely to use them. Kudos.

Excellent content and advice, all your videos are exceptionally helpful but this one is one of the best. Some questions: some of your info don't apply to the European market I'm based in, especially when prices are like 20% up from the US prices and customs are making ordering inventory items from outside the EU non-profitable in most cases. Are there any distributors in EU that you know can get us products in reasonable prices? Or, is there a way to bypass customs and order directly from the US? Sorry for the long message, keep up the great work!
Really appreciate it . If you google “Pokémon center official distributors” and scroll a bit you’ll actually see an entire list on the official Pokémon center website itself 😂
True, I have done that, but the one and only in my country may be the most expensive in all EU 😂 Maybe I need to get in touch with distributors from neighboring countries, haven't done that yet. Thank you for your time!
When working with your Japanease suppliers, do you ever consider buying boxes without the shrink wrap? This is probably not the case for you anymore since you are working at such a big scale but I have seen at working at a smaller scale this comes up quite a bit.
