This is the best video I’ve seen on this. I’m so close to pulling the trigger on starting my own business. Just need the capital. Thank you for this!!!
Incredible material. It is tough to find someone who is willing to share such good information. I have never been interested in selling pokemon cards until now. Thank you so much for such a detailed video. Best of luck to you!
This is awesome Brian thank you for putting this information out there. This is something I have seriously considered doing for a long time. Collecting and TCG has been a serious and intricate part of my life and I would love to be an entity where people go to get their collectible needs!
People are so dumb, you cant never, ever!! unless you started from the early start and or you have lots of cash and dont know what to do with it and are dumb to invest and get little in return you cant and I repeat CANT get rich from pokemon. Explaining how to start a business is 1 thing but getting money is a second and I will get 3 bullet points WHY you will NEVER get richt. 1 People lowering prices to compete, this means like the dumb person next to you, you will never ever get good money for your product because the competition are dumb and lowering prices. 2 there are too many people starting the business what makes to much supply, to much fish in the pool. 3 unless you are the lucky basterd who started from 1999 you will never ever get old OG products for cheap and get a decent money in return. DONT start a business when the competition is high because you will end up lowering your prices or keep normal prices and nobody will buy from you. Pokemon business is dead dont do it cause you will spend time and time is money and you will not get lots of money and your time will be spend that cant get back.!
I’m always rewatching this playlist so everything can stick to my mind. I’m slowly making moves. Find a distro or a vendor & start making sales on eBay or TCG 1st then build my way up

Been looking for this exact type of video for a few weeks now and im very happy you made this and the others, very valuable to me how you break it down step by step. thanks!
A quick question. I have been thinking about this alot and dont know where and how to start. Is it legal if I buy pokemon or any TCG boxes and packs and resell it again on my online store. Or do i need to obtain like a special license for pokemon, digimon, panini... etc to be able to sell on my online store ?
I appreciate the effort you put into informing people. I have come across your content a few times, and I usually find something to hold onto moving forward. Keep it up, you're inspiring individuals to pursue their goals by putting out videos like this 🍻
Great video- it wears the Mastermind title well, this is not only great business advice but good personal finance/ financial intelligence advice/ life tips.
Great video and advice! I'm an American based in the UK and also big on Japanese. I just launched my website, but I've made Whatnot my primary selling platform due to ease of starting up. You make some amazing points about unique propositions and how to drive sales on your site. I've been bundling cards, but didn't really think about bundling packs for birthdays/Christmas/etc. Thanks for the great video! Subbed!
Hey, I am considering starting a pokemon card business. I do have capital to start with, but very unsure if the market where i live is a good one. Any tips or ideas?
Realistically you’d need to be home- the amount of space you for inventory alone is on obnoxious- and the amount of space for shipping (boxes, bubble wrap, printer, etc) is equally stupid. Thank you for your service tho 🙏🏻
Awesome vid man! I was wondering if I would be able to start my own online pokemon business as a 16 year old? If so, what would be different for me? Would I need my parents to be involved? Thanks!
I'm setting up an online store. Do i need to have a business debit card or can I just use my own? Also, is it ok to just accept debit or credit card for payments ? I have a ton of questions, which my webpage developer is setting up. Also, is whatnot a good way to get people to my website.?
Not sure if I missed this part but how much did you actually start with like funds wise I’ve been wanting to do this for absolutely years I’ve never been massive into playing TCG however I love collecting etc and I really want to start my own business! This would seriously be something interesting to me and fun as Pokémon is just my love I guess my issue is the very initial start I worry I’d spend a lot of money and not get anywhere!
Awesome and detailed contents! Thank you Brian. I am not there yet in opening up my own TCG, as I just recently into Pokémon when Chilling Reign was released. I have been actively collecting sealed products. Do you have off-sight storage as well? If so, do you need to have collectible insurance as well or the rental of the storage unit is insured by the Storage company?
i have a question, seems you implying NA pokemon doesn't really make the money, but import cards do, so i guess the distributor isn't necessary in 2024, you mind as well go right to a 3rd party correct? Also if the box says not to be sold outside of Japan, wouldn't it be illegal to sell in US then ?
Ya English isn’t great now. As far as legality goes, it’s absolutely legal- no law is in any government regarding Pokémon … just could get the Japanese vendor in trouble with the Pokemon company. For you, there is no risk
hey man, i really appreciate your reply, i just want you to know, you're the very reason i want to start my own business. I'm 32 and i never thought i would ever do this, but your videos inspired me very much. As soon as i got the capital, I'll see if i can purchase a couple of boxes, i hope your business continues to boom, you're essentially my idol for business.@@pokene_pokemon
This dude got in the right thing at the right time. Telling people to take credit card debt to start a new pokemon business in this economy with how much competition there is now......nuts.

This is very helpful and informative. I actually been thinking about doing this, but I get a little anxiety that it may not work out and don’t want to take a big risk losing money. Do distributors sell to new buyers to resell?
