    Yes, if you had the big door mirrors with 4 bolt mounts and those rear leaf springs, it was ordered as a camper special. I have a paper GM RPO code book to find the right code on the glove box lid.
    I was admiring your cadmium conversion plated bolts and you called them by name. When the nut is no longer round, looking like they were staked with a punched, we always called them “Deformed” nuts. Like that one guy in the locker room who can’t play basketball but went for it anyways. My 67 C10 has a Muncie 462 4 spd. No synchro’s in first or second but two PTO plates. At idle, first gear, get out and walk faster.
    I bench build an 700R4 from the 1987 era so it has a cast steel valve body and plugs for overdrive. I put the Jr. LU kit in with a spring for 42-45 MPH lockup automatically. Also 34 other updates with ACDelco 5 gear planetaries front and rear. Sonnax everywhere but Superior 4th 3rd Super hold apply pistons and changed the captured check balls that few change. The Alto Red-Eagle friction/steel complete kit allows for 9 friction and Kolene steels in 3rd.
    Basically over built to 600 HP range for a 2003 truck LS with Summit cam for low end torque, OEM converter and headers for maybe 390HP. I did use captured roller rocker arm needle bearings, modified front oil pump, bar-bell and 6qt oil pan with no internal oil bypass. Changing the oil filter threaded adaptor to fit a Delco PF64 I had a case of already. I know the engine, ran it on my stand, cleaned injectors 4 times then did a compression & cylinder leakage test, new cam bearings and plastic gauges the rods and mains. Good to go.
    I like the GEN 1 but prefer EFI. Either way, took photos of everything as I go to create a paper service manual, CD and thumb drive. I won’t have it forever but my son will. It hurts you bad if electrical has problems, you are out of town, nothing is correct and wire color are different. That will take 3-4 times longer, plus cost 5 times as much. Circuit by circuit, numbered photo in back showing the connector, connector face, cavity number and wire color. I am a stickler for that as GM even announced in the 1986 “G” body that going forward, each church it will use a dedicated wire color, circuit number and size is in metric as this platform is world wide.
    You look young but in my early 60’s things have changed a bunch to todays rocket ships. In 2005 during serial data seminars, I used to joke about warning that says; “Un-Wanted released or sulphur compounds with high methane gas count was detected in seat “Right Rear”, excuse me while I roll down all windows!”
    They can pry my steering wheel from my hands. I don’t think any of us would ride in a vehicle without a gas pedal or steering wheel! Crazy is here!
