What’s the movie Beverly Hills Cops II about?
The heat's back on! And Eddie Murphy is cool as ever in this sizzling, smash-hit sequel to Beverly Hills Cop. Axel Foley (Murphy) is back-back where he doesn't belong! He's going "deep, deep, deep undercover" into the chic wilds of Southern California, unleashing his arsenal of blazing gunfire and rapid-fire gags against a gang of international munitions smugglers. Back, too, are Judge Reinhold and John Ashton as Murphy's crime-busting sidekicks. And Top Gun's director Tony Scott keeps the pace fast, furious and funny.
This time, Axel Foley returns after Captain Bogomil was almost assassinated during a shooting and must now investigate a series of robberies they like to call the “Alphabet Crimes”.

This is one of the most "80's" of all the 80's movies. Love it.
Mbaxter22. Love violence then do you ?
Brigitte Nielsen and Eddie Murphy’s Performances was Fantastic in this movie!!!!
Isn't she the same woman who was Ivan Drago's wife in Rocky 4?
@@partyman6666 Yes she was
Ludmilla Drago
I had the biggest crush on her when I was a kid, Red Sonja was one of my favorites 😍.
@@kevinmeyers7821 i understand that
so how long does it take to shave them legs anyways?
Always loved the music in this scene
Same
Its incredible
Reminds me of the soundtrack from Escape from NY.
Whats song is it??
Brigitte Nielsen, what a striking performance she pulled in that movie. I had goosebumps every time she was on the screen.
I love the horse race intergraded into the robbery. The camera shake gives the scene such tension.
Briggite was a proper weapon back in the day
One of my favourite scene and principaly music. Excelent!
Editing is one of those things that you only ever notice if it's done badly. ...EXCEPT if you know editing and you see it done perfectly. Which I would consider Beverly Hills Cop 2 and this scene in particular a fantastic example of.
Cool, it's the Das Boot captain working with Ivan Drago's wife!
Duke Leto getting revenge on Yueh.

Miss movies like these, they don't make them anymore
I know, movies no the same
I miss Tony Scott doing action films 🎥. He knew how to make them right
This was one of the greatest action flicks of the 80's, I keep trying to get my local theater that shows old movie to show it
My favorite part of this clip and one of my favorite parts in the entire movie was the look on Axel's face as he was looking at that dead goon at 2:30 to 2:33. The sheer seriousness on Axel's face always gets me when I see this part.
That was the look of disappointment because they fail to stop the robbery and possibly save the lives of Cain and the other thug. How far was the accountant's office from the track?
@@clipobserver That accountant's office was in downtown LA (in the movie they wanted to make it seem like it was in Beverly Hills but it wasn't). The racetrack is in the city of Cypress in Orange County. The drive from the accountant's office to the racetrack is around 45 minutes depending on traffic.
@@clipobserver Remember the part when Axel, Taggart, and Rosewood were sitting in traffic talking about Dent's accountant? Well, they were in traffic in Beverly Hills (I know because I've been near there a few times over the years including the time in 2021 I saw Top Gun (1986) at a Beverly Hills movie theater for that movie's 35th year anniversary celebration).
That traffic scene was filmed in Beverly Hills and then the connecting part of that traffic scene was filmed in downtown LA (Sidney Bernstein's office).
@@gmcneoplan84 Yeah that's pretty far even with Billy gunning it in a Diplomat with a that little lightbar/siren. Maybe shave 10-15 minutes if that. Still enough time for the baddies to pull off the robbery.
@@gmcneoplan84 I don't recall Cypress ever having a race track, and I grew up one city over in Buena Park. Los Alamitos has a race track, but not Cypress.
Closer to Beverly Hills, though, are two other race tracks: Santa Anita, which is on the other side of Pasadena and can be a bear to get to, and Hollywood Park, which is only a few miles from Beverly Hills.
The track scenes were shot at Los Alamitos, but it could have been a stand-in for Hollywood Park or, more likely, a fictional track still in Beverly Hills.
1:20 something about the slow mo head-on shot of the racing stands out to me
God love the 80 s the movies were always great!
Heading towards a cashless society is going to make movies more boring without scenes like this
Oh don't worry. They won't go away completely
Bridgit Nielson: human stopwatch.
Just a great classic movie after theses years later to eddie Murphy john Ashton and judge reinhold you guys rock job well done you should be amazed and proud love you guys thanks you guys rock still going strong after all these years later thanks ! Joe
I loved this one part 2 it was prob one of the better ones.
This scene is great but BS. As if Karla could have changed so quickly after that, she would have needed a shower because of the tear gas smell on her, a full change of exotic clothes just waiting there and full make-up done all in the one race meet. Far fetched
The magic of cinema. 🎬🎥
whos known prob had locker room and shower at the races. Dent owned it the track
Classic movie
Remember when stealing money was so complicated, dangerous, and risky? Now you can steal 10x that in 10 minutes if you're any good at computers. Imagine the looks on their faces if you told them that...
I wonder, is that real money the cashiers are dispensing.
Ms Fry is quite the antagonist. 🤗
Best race track robbery since The Killing
Bridgette Nielsen Great actress Eddie Murphy great actor
That guy at 2:19 to 2:24 wasn't Eddie that was his stunt double. You could tell because he was a little skinnier than Eddie. And he either had his head down or turned to his right so the audience couldn't make out that he was Eddie's double.
good catch. hadn't noticed that before. He def looks taller too. I wonder, why would he be needed for that little clip, just to walk into the room.
@@hckycpa20 That's a good point. There was another part in the film when Rosewood, Taggart, and Foley were heading to Sidney Bernstein's office in Beverly Hills. The studio used Eddie's stunt double when Rosewood was making a left turn.
Film schedules are often have long days. Just easier for the actor to rest when he’s not needed.
@@LeonardStauffer I know that, I was just telling hckycpa20 in which parts of Beverly Hills II that Eddie wasn't used. He wasn't used in a lot of parts of that film come to think of it but his stunt double was.
No worries. I was simply answering his question. It’s cool to know this stuff for some reason. We’re like movie detectives. Lol
I was an extra for a few movies while in college. Indiana Jones 4 was one of them. Harrison Ford’s stunt double was a dead look alike. I actually bumped into Mr. Ford between takes. Well he kinda bumped into me too. He walked up behind me and i didn’t know. I 1st thought it was his stunt double but it wasn’t. It was during the college soviet protest scene. He just kept walking and I was like oops. Long story short. True story tho it sounds made up. Lol.
They also keep a water truck near set because they like the roads wet because it looks better on film most of the time. It was a cool experience overall.
Filme maravilhoso
So many setups and changes of lenses. And smoke. Trademark Tony Scott. The last shot of the killed robber however was not picked well by the editor as you can see the man´s chest move. As it is a static shot of someone lying still on the floor. There must have been more coverage than that two second shot. When they yelled action the must have filmed the man lying there for more than just two seconds before they yelled cut. But the editor still managed to pick the two seconds where the chest was moving on the actor playing dead. It is quite obvious when you look at it.
money is power without money life is fuck up thing
The bassline is all messed up in the 4k release. Really throws off the pace, disappointing.
incredible, should be ASHAMED of what they did to the 4th
That chick was hot was that Rocky s wife at the time?
whats that background music,, iam trying to search it
Who is the racecaller
Julie Newmar of the eighties. Precurser to Famke Janssen.
Would nt she be all sweaty after the robbery she was all nice and dressed afterwards.
Dent owned the race track im sure it had showers and lockers lol
She killed her men
Wasnt that the hitman that shot bogamil first? The other robber with the shotgun, wasn’t that Jack the henchman or maybe was someone else
@@Plattencautious745 Yep
Elizabeth Holmes did it better she just used the stage.
Really stop
