    Of course he loves to win, but his sad and lower voice when talking about 2009 final against Roddick shows that Federer really feels bad for him. Andy once said that Roger was trying to minimize the celebration in locker room when his opponent was there. I love the fact that tennis players are so humble, civil and polite with each other. Anyway, let’s go Roger!

      I watched that final and I felt the same way really... Roddick was at a disadvantage serving second, and the game he lost was due to unfortunate errors really... Otherwise there wasn't much to separate them.

      If I remember correct Roddick had one or two set points in the second set, and missed a very easy volley on one of them. That point turned the match, sad for Roddick.

    • @josephsawyer9714
      @josephsawyer9714 6 лет назад +15

      No, not really. It was a difficult volley, and made even more difficult that Roddick was never a natural volleyer. Henman, Edberg or Mcenroe would have found that volley no doubt, but they are some, if not the best net players ever.
      Roddick had his chances, didn't convert. If he would have played aggressive from the baseline he could have easily won that match i straights/four sets.

      Its amazing...when all is said and done Djokovic will be the GOAT. But not necessarily because of tennis, but will and belief in the biggest moments. Down a break in the 5th set against Rafa 2012 Aussie final, 5th set vs Stan 2013 Aussie Open, 5th set vs Stan 2015 Aussie Open, down 2 match points vs Roger 2019 Wimbledon final, same scenario 2011 us open semis, 5th set Wimbledon final 2014, 5th set comeback vs Tsitsipas 2021 French Open, 5th set vs Thiem 2020 Aussie Open final, 5th set vs Rafa 2018 Wimbledon, etc. How many of Djokovic’s 19 majors required gutting out a 5 setter if not multiple 5 setters? Thats what will ultimately separate Novak from Roger and Rafa. His ability to cross the finish line rather than fall just short.

    This guy has served more than 11000 aces his whole life.. 3rd all time highest tooo... If only 1 of that 11000 could have come at match point last year he would have had 9 wimbledon... It kills 💔💔💔.. Its merciless stabs to heart 💔💔😭

    a typical character for the great game of tennis...stay calm till the end but burst like a huge atom bomb on winning..loved his narations as well....
    2019 lost but lost to a very unique opponent....throughout the game no emotions both the players and had mutual respect for their abilities ..
