- In 2021 Bridget and I spent a couple of days splashing around Ginnie Springs FL. Loud, crazy and beautiful are just some of the words that describe this unique campground in sunny Florida.

Glad you did not have to worry about any alligators along the river or in the area of springs. Gators seem to be in many of the bodies of water around Florida. I was so worried about alligators I never kayaked in the 8 years we lived in Central Florida in spite of owning two small Folbot Citibot kayaks back then.
Joe, I’ve dove Ginnie many times. Always 73 degree water. Gin clear too. Who is the girl ? Looks like a good travel companion.

Watch out for the bullets
Ok…beautiful. This may be a dumb question, but do you worry about alligators here? Is that a concern?
Been every summer multiple times. The water is too cold for alligators to really enjoy, so you never notice them, or see them. Never seen or heard one in my times there. I have always felt safe from the conform of my inflatable tube tho haha!
How are the mosquitoes?
Why are there no gators??
