      As a traditional Catholic, I most certainly bow and reverently address my learned priest as "Father." Why? Because all divine authority to cast out demons, deliver the sacred sacraments, serve the holy and sacred mass, hear confession, provide penance, absolve sin, was given directly to him, my priest, who stands in the shoes of Christ by Christ our King, Lord and Savior in perpetuity..."and the gates of hell shall not prevail against her!!!!"
      Sadly, you are one of those souls who were misled by the heretical apostates for centuries. May God have mercy on your belligerent and insolent soul, and may the Holy Spirit guide you in your diligence to discover your true inheritance...
      I would recommend you read 'Facts About Luther' by Msgr. Patrick O'Hare LLD.
      www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Facts+About+Luther++by+Msgr.+Patrick+O%27Hare
      You will be appalled when you realize just how duped you and your ancestors were when they chose "Protestantism" You were all deprived redemption of your souls...perhaps over 1 billion people went to their deaths with proper redemption of their souls these past 500 years...those who followed such a demented and tormented creature such as Martin Luther, King Henry VIII, and his ilk, Calvin et al...
      You have no business attempting to interpret the Bible. the OT was for the Rabbis. The NT is for the Catholic church fathers who were painstakingly educated for many years, and guided by the Holy Spirit to interpret Holy Scripture. The laity are the beneficiaries of the Holy Roman Catholic church.
      "There is no redemption outside of the church."

      @@Joeonline26 How dare a Pope show compassion and live more simply. Francis kisses men with disfigured faces, the feet of Sudanese warlords, begging them to stop fighting, opens a holy door in a prison, visits refugees in refugee camps, but when he asked for compassion for gay people, I guess that was when you turned away from the Papacy. Or was it the refusal to live in the Papal Apartments? Truly, some people would reject Christ.

    • @Joeonline26
      @Joeonline26 6 дней назад +1

      @@riverstun Your indignation seems to conflate criticism of Francis’ papacy with opposition to mercy, simplicity, or outreach to the marginalized. This is a false equivalence. The issue lies not in his Christlike gestures, but in the doctrinal and ecclesiological ambiguities that have characterized his tenure. Compassion is indispensable, yes-but true compassion is never severed from truth. When Francis’ rhetoric or actions appear to sow confusion in matters of faith or morality-for example, in his inconsistent messaging regarding same-sex unions or sacramental discipline-he risks undermining the pastoral mission of the Church, which is to bring clarity. To accuse those who raise such concerns of “rejecting Christ” is a rhetorical flourish that avoids the substantive issues. Criticism of a Pope, when done respectfully and grounded in the Church’s tradition, is not equivalent to rejecting Christ. On the contrary, it is borne of a desire to see the Church more faithfully reflect the truth and beauty of her divine mission. After all, even Peter was rebuked by Paul when his actions threatened to obscure the Gospel (Galatians 2:11). God bless.

      Exactly. You dont get to pick and choose which Pope you will accept and which you dont. Or, if you want to do that, then you arent a member of the church anymore. Which of course is an option. I left decades ago because I saw no reason to stick around. I never met a priest who was particularly decent, as a person. When Benedict decided to refocus on the moralizing over the compassion, it just confirmed my decision to stay out. Benedicts' catholicism is dead and dusty. Words, not actions. Empty. Francis is better, more Christlike, but until that ripples down through the ranks, this religion isnt for me any more. But I do know the rules. And the rules say that the Pope is at the top, and nobody else gets to pick and choose. Francis was chosen by God. (The Holy Spirit). That is dogma. Disagreement with GOD puts you in a bas position.

Shedding tears in church is evil? Perhaps you're evil. I know the average Catholic doesn't read the bible, but the lifting up of hands and voice in church is absolutely biblical. We lift our hands in praise and worship to God, while you do this for a man. Interesting contrast. Be careful who you're calling evil. There is a great abundance of evil happening in the Catholic Church right now.

      I don't expect anything necessarily...but as both churches struggle, especially the Anglican church in other locales, such as here in Canada, I think it will present opportunities for joint ventures. That may lead to closer collaboration and one never knows where that may lead. As the Anglican church moves farther from orthodox Christianity, entire congregations in North America are being brought into the Catholic church and this too points to a hopeful future.

      Victor Gutierrez
      Anglicanism , which is born of heresy, denies the sanctuary of God and the blood of Christ as the Holy act of propitiation that reunites believers with the Divine Creator. Anglicanism denies this act which was Christ's essence, His role as eternal high priest who revealed through his priestly prayer, and propitiatory sacrifice, obedience and love of God the Father, the Holy tabernacle of God and the remission of original sin for those who believe. , thereby establishing a new and everlasting covenant between God and His Holy Church. Anglicanism, which is outside that Church, outside the sheepfold of Christ, rejects this, rejects the Holy Mass and the new and everlasting covenant between the Creator and his creatures. This is what the Holy Mass points to, and is fortified by, the truth of scripture that points to that Sacrificial offering that redeems those who believe. Anglicanism rejects this perfect act of public worship, that act that is most pleasing to God, that act which adores and glorifies the most Holy Trinity. Anglicanism rejects the action of Christ, the pure host, perfect offering, the Lamb of God who then feeds as via the Eucharists for He is the manna come from Heave. The Anglicans, in rejecting this truth, the truth of transubstantiation, reject the divine will. Anglicanism refutes tradition and the work of the Holy Spirit, for in tradition the Paraclete guides and draws the Church closer to to God... and that's been progressing for 2000 years within and limited to, the one Holy and Catholic and Apostolic Church. Anglicanism finally rejects man's active participation in this salvitic plan , so clearly it's heretical and as St John Crysostom Patriarch of Constantinople stated 1600 years ago: " those in heresy can not be saved"

      Charles Leyes Francis under the disguise of mercy, has harmed the church so much. You would either have to be completely ignorant of the catholic faith or be a complete liberal who welcomes all these innovations because you are drunken in modernism and think you are going good when in reality you don't truly want Christ but a version of Christ that fits your sinful "needs". The third options is that you are a complete fool. I don't intend to be mean but I love my Mother the Catholic Church and it hurts to see it being destroyed by Francis to the applause of people who claim to be Catholics but don't care about the doctrines of the Church. Doctrine is Truth and Christ is Truth. Doctrine is Christ. The Master left his teachings to his Church to keep it not to change it or to "re-invent it" because "now we are in modern time".
      The Lord said "heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away". His teachings, His doctrines are eternal and if the world don't like them, to bad for them. You may pretend to chance the unchangeable but at the time of death the truth remains and hell would be the reward for the one who have pretended to mix evil with good. Lord Jesus help us.
