I would’ve sent that plate right back. Black pudding leaves an obvious stain on the plate, they knew he just took it off the plate and brought it back. He’s lucky they didn’t make a scene and demand their money back, that’s so disrespectful

It's the chef's job to know what's vegan or not, not the waiter.

The chefs are in the right, the waiter is wrong. He did not listen to the customer. He literally said “no meat and without the eggs” and writes “no meat, no dairy”? It’s stupid

He said IM VEGAN that was the first thing he said, watch again. It's not a charity buffet, customer is paying and if there's any issue to serving what's requested, it's basic good service rule to say right away or if the order is talen, than do it ad requested.
Dude wrote all wrong on the paper and didn't even mention to the chef that it was supposed bto be vegan at least, it's 100% the waiter's fault.
Literally what he said was “um I’m vegan, so basically what I’m thinking is we do that British breakfast with no meat and dairy, AND WITHOUT THE EGGS”

Eggs are meat. How did the chef hear no meat and still plate eggs?!
Eggs aren't actually classified as meat - they are an animal source of protein & a complete protein. That's why some vegetarians will eat them but vegans do not. All that aside, that server was TERRIBLE at their job & it wasn't the kitchen's fault as they executed what he wrote ... which was not what the patron requested. Not just an inconvenience for the customer, this could easily become a medical emergency if someone had an allergy.
