We have come to Madrid for the Liverpool vs Tottenham Champions League Final. The Champions League 2019 came to an end when we drove to Madrid to watch lfc play. We went to the fan zone for the pre game warm up before going to a bar to watch the game with hundred of Liverpool fans.

In Mallorca with tears in my eyes, it was indeed one emotional roller coaster, it gets me every time. Madrid was indeed incredible, we painted it red. Brilliant, thanks for bringing it all back.

What an amazing blog!! I watched it in town(Liverpool city centre) & I’ve never seen anything like it. I arrived into town just after 1pm & everywhere was just crazy. You couldn’t move. Managed to get to concert square met some friends & stayed there until after the match. When the final whistle went it just went off big time!!! Red flares & fireworks going off, hugging & jumping up & down with complete strangers, the whole of Hanover street was just one big red carnival!! It was such an amazing & surreal night that I’ll never forget. Was back there the next day for the victory parade & that was boss as well.
Wow atmosphere looked immense... Don't get that in the Emirates :(
I have always seen videos of atmospheres like this in football but actually being in it was something that I will never forget.

There again, I am 65 so just keep the faith guys and you too will have many more BOSS times watching the Redmen!! BTW, love your life choices - my wife and I (bless 'er) upp'd sticks and shot off around the world in 98, ended up in Hawaii for a few glorious years - skint but wired, brilliant!! Liverpool city would be flooded should their FC win the league this season. It's been what, almost a third of a century since they last won. I still remember the legends of that era - Grobbelaar, Rush, Beardsley, Aldridge, Barnes, McMahon and even Alan Hansen and Kenny Dalglish were still playing.

Commiserations to Spurs, not exactly a riveting game for a final. As a lifelong Tottenham fan, inherited from my Father, a former youth team player back in '29-'30, injury ended a blossoming career, I was a bit upset at the result but nothing a couple of bottles of red wine couldn't cure, by then I was as happy as Larry and didn't care anymore. Missed a lot of the match anyway thanks to a couple of Crows using my Sat Dish as a perch.
Dreadful match for sure. Of course I don't care but wasn't a good advert for the game. They did themselves proud though and no reason can't go on to bigger and better things. Haha it was nice editing this as the beers made the memory quite hazy.
Commiserations to you from a Liverpool fan. I was not there but was very pleased to hear how well the two sets of fans got on. No trouble what so ever, and lots of mixed bars. Mate, get yourself a catapult and fire peanuts at them next time your team is on. Oh, and wear a hoodie as the crows will put out an all points bulletin - they do not forget.
