I have 3 sons who are Veterans, my husband died a retired Veteran, my stepfather was a Veteran. So it hurts when I hear this. What hurts more are the millions of people who benefit from THEIR sacrifice and yet don’t appreciate their sacrifice.

From what I've gathered, Trump sees military deaths as a waste of resources. Gifted young men and women, that could have opened their own business or service one day, but instead , were suckered into a war that benefitted neither them nor their country.

I'll never understand how anyone could support and vote for a president who said, "American Fallen Soldiers are Losers and Suckers," my heart was deeply saddened the day I heard those words coming out of Trump's mouth when standing in the cemetery overlooking all the graves of our dear departed Vets.
Such a horrible statement to make is enough to turn anyone's stomach inside out, and yet, people support him regardless, which tells me they think the same way.

My Dad was in the service for 33 years. We lived in bases all over the world, lived with people who loved the life and the people they were in service to. Of the five siblings three directly served in the USAF and Marines, one works for NASA and my oldest sister married anArmy Ranger who later served 18 years in the Pennsylvania State Guard. We serve and we won’t support any politician who thinks what our family has done all our lives.

I wish this traitor could have been in my Dad's hospital room while my Dad slowly died of a brain tumor caused by radiation poisoning during his service in WWII. He was a hot-shot fighter pilot who volunteered in 1939 because he loved his country. He finally died the week he retired at age 65, still on active duty. He and my Mom had hoped to travel after he retired, but they didn't get the chance. Agonizingly slowly, he reverted to a babbling infant, soiling his adult diapers, unable to recall or use words, blind, deaf, unable to walk... If trump does have the 60% approval rate that he likes to brag about, that number is coming from Republicans, not the entire voter population. As of August 2023, there are approximately 38.8M registered Republicans, out of 210 million total registered voters. There's no way his cult is growing with any significance, as every other party wants nothing to do with him. If every voter voted the party they're registered to, Trump's 60% would come out to 23.3M Rs. The 2020 election had a record turnout of 154.6M. This time it will be more, but let's use that number. If all 23.3M Rs vote for trump, out of 154.6M, that gives him a 15% chance at the presidency at best IF he makes it onto the ballot. There are also about 48.3M people over the age of 18 who are not registered. Even if every unregistered voter signed up as Rs, that would be 71.6M out of a voter pool of 202.9M. That would only give trump a 35.3% chance of winning. A 10% margin of error in my calculations would still make him a loser. I say let him run. The devastating loss might do him in.

There are no words I can put together to express the magnitude of respect I have for those who knowingly faced certain death under fire and chose to press on to face a formidable enemy.
