I love her hairstyle in this, and I LOVE HER TOO, she was the best female singer ever, nobody will ever top her. LOVE YOU KAREN you are my angel, cant wait to meet you in heaven :)
I was in the audience when they filmed the concert part of this in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. I was young, 11 to 13 yrs old. My first concert experience!
Before CDs I used to listen to AbbA and the Carpenters and the beatles in cassets when I was like 6 or 7 years old, after that I never forget them the Oldies turns me back to my memories.
The reason why the video quality isn't probably top of the heap is because it's been taped off of television or something several times it's not an original tape so what are you going to do... I wonder where the original tape is to this wonderful show that I never got to see back then darn it...
For as much money as The Carpenters were making back then, they sure had a limited wardrobe. Karen wore that same red sweater with the little yellow flowers in the center a couple years later of the Robert Young with the Young television show. She also wore it in at least one photo session as well. Both of them repeated their outfits repeatedly,...you never see celebrities do that today.
Who cares if Karen wore the same dress on more than one occasion... It just proves that she is human and had favorite things... I love that about her!!! :p She wore the same dress to the 1970 Grammy award ceremony where they won!!! One full year later she wore it again, live in concert!!! Gosh, she sure was both a cutie and a beauty!!
Was it just my particular viewing of this clip (?), but, this was like watching a Benny Hill clip, where the video was 5 times faster than the words/music. Never made it to the end of the song!
I wasn't speaking 'ill of the dead'. I am a massive Carpenters fan and have all their old LPs and, now, CDs. But the video is rubbish in its quality, but not as bad as your unprovoked attack on me and your use of unnecessary foul language! You bring nothing to this comunity or your fellow man.

Another classic. Thanks for posting. This was before my time but I still appreciate the Carpenters. Good music is timeless.

1:12 -- The image quality is not good enough, but you still look beautiful, Karen.
You're use of English is so expressive. You must have had an expensive education! I appreciate it far more than the video!
@earcandy2008 I always rehearse on top of natural rock structures.
